One of the greatest bands of all time! Tetsuo Sakurai is top ten bassists all day. Look up his era with the band, I wasn’t such a big fan of this era but he’s still a great player regardless

His bass guitar has 8 strings. Did you see the head of the bass? He uses 10 strings also. And the band's name is CASIOPEA. They are playing 2022.

I guess that if you aren’t into jazz fusion, Casiopea is not for you,and that’s fine. If on the other hand, you are just going from this performance, maybe you should consider another go at their music. They had a concert with T-Square, another Japanese jazz fusion band titled “Casiopea vs T-Square”. Greetings from Alabama 😎

Casiopea is a very...unique group haha. Some of the tracks are pretty dated and/corny (depending on your taste). Sometimes it's just a vibe to put on the Mint Jams album and marvel at how they got a $5 Casio keyboard patch to sound hip.
You have to go a bit into their discography to get the good stuff IMO. Teatro Saude/Mint Jams (album) are some of my favorites. They definitely have some fusion chops.
I think Casiopea was a huge influence on Japanese Jazz Fusion and VGM. It's almost like they predicted famous OSTs like Persona 5 or Street Fighter EX3 20 years+ in advance. Those are more modern for sure, but I kinda hear a shared language per se.
The recordings are obviously cleaner than this live performance which I believe was fairly early in their debut.
