Literally just did an hours worth of NM Andy and meph runs and didn't get crap. Decided to finally move on to hell and got an occy right outside of rogue encampment lol. Insane

Tornadostormer druid is also great for running almost everything solo, because he does mostly physical damage with his tornado and a bit of cold damage with the hurricane. There are rather few monsters that are immune to physical damge (I think all those ghosts type monsters) and even fewer that are also cold immune in the game.

I tried Pit after watching and immediately got a monarch too, just what I was looking for. Then I tried NM Andariel and realized that I actually quest bugged her unintentionally, so I did some massive farming there. Nothing exceptional dropped, but it was still great to see 1-2 unique/set per attempt :)

43:45 The drop rate for items with sockets actually goes down when you have a higher magic find rate, since that socketed item is going to be a magic item instead. Increasing the player number helps though. At least as far as I know, I haven't played for like 1 or 2 years and I have to check a lot of things in forums and wikis again.
Favorite three are trav, meph, and pindle, super easy and easy pathing

People that say "only keep a couple low runes for crafting." Well I have been saving all the low runes I can on a mule character. At least all the good ones used for crafting. So I had a decent stock pile being that I have beat hell and have been farming for a while now. Once I hit the point where I am crafting I am flying through my stock pile. People act like only keep 1 or 2 low runes for crafting. Well they are not crafting that much then cause I'm flying through dozens of low runes all the time.
Really good video, with the announcement of diablo 4, i installed diablo 2 and it's a lot of fun, i used to play diablo 2 back in 2000, but never go into the end game. Right now i have about 2400h in Path of exile and 1300h in Diablo 3.

I'm having so much fun playing a frozen orb/ chain lightning dual spec sorc build. Orb shreds anything not frozen immune. Then I use static field to take down as much hell as I can and then i spam chain lightning if they are frozen immune. Such a fun build and I know it's hell players 1 viable for sure and shreds everything. But I havnt found any games yet to play with anyone else to test the harder player count difficulty. I would highly recommend this build. I don't have a torch, anny, and I only have 1 cold sorc skillers but I have plus 10 to my skills with my gear. If I had it set with the right gear I couldn't imagine what this sorc couldn't kill
If looking for white/socket items, (phaseblades, monarchs, personal fav - eth threshers for obedience - eth body armors for runewords...) charms and runes I quite like Tal Rasha tombs. Very dense areas, lot of drops. Also cows and if I were feeling particularly brave, Worldstone 'walk'. But the first 2 are fairly accessible (TP staff on switch in case of dead ends and gucci!) which made farming on my under-geared Necro quite fun. Also half decent exp at times.

for anyone watching this now that D2R is out, it's now okay to grab the Halls of Pain waypoint in act 5, the portal to Pindelskin will still be there

Thanks for a graph, I didn't know it worked this way for sets and uniques. I always thought it was just upping it always helped, ie 100, 200, 300% etc
It does always help, it just looks asymptotic.
+Daniel Kirienko Depends on what you're looking for. I have enough magic find to where my chance of finding a set item increases (by a tiny amount) if I remove magic find because of my chance of finding a unique.

Just came back to d2 after 15+ yrs and found a tal guardianship in my first 3 hell mausoleum runs , I've heard it's the hardest piece to get too. I about shit when I saw the set laquered plate on the ground lol , helped a ton tho starting out with almost +100mf on it
Just did a trade for a few items and gold wrap , wasn’t sure if it was a good deal for my Gul rune. Ended up finding gheeds charm two Andy runs later. Thank for the information 😁
I recently started playing again from scratch. Dit most of these things. Got a rhyme shield and a spirit crystal sword. But I also have a 4 topaz plate mail and a 3 topaz mask. My sorc is a shining golden lady. It looks great. I may not change even after I find a Skulders or Shako. XD
Found a nice yellow ring with FCR, some res and 25% mf. The other is a 30 nagel. Have two more nagels, but they suck. 2x 16%
Anyway, this is fun, didn't know all those area levels or Tancrets. So learned something new. That graph is awesome. After 400 you really start getting diminishing returns on those mf investments. Running at 391 now, probably make no more sacrifices.

I remember forever the time my poorly built cold/fire sorc pulled a Windforce. It's not even a gaming memory but something more. I didn't even have a proper bowazon because I didn't believe I would ever get it.

I found a Tal Rasha Amulet off of Normal Diablo in Act IV. Completely insane when I found that amulet.
Ya it can drop SUPER early in the game due to the way sets drops work.

Got ourselves Maras ?SOJ? Shako? I'm level 92 on bnet (just MFing) and I've only found 2 Shakos, 1 soj (VERY recently), 1 tal armor (after lvl91), 1 tal staff (after lvl90), 0 Maras, 0 high runes, 0 Vipermagi, 0 Occulus, 1 arach, highest rune I found was Um, found... I think 3 total, in all that time.
50 hours of Pindle runs before they implemented game creation cooldown (early October) and Shako and one Um rune were my most valuable drops, that's it. On 300-450 MF (last 20 hours I went full insane with 4xPtopaz armor and alike, for 450+ mf at the time, due to desperation)
I'm so glad that trading platform website is a thing and I could just buy what I need for rl cash (the one that uses it's own currency, not the those chinese spambot websites from lobby chats). I'd probably just drop the game otherwise.

Nm cows is a good easy farming spot too. I found a shaftstop vamp gaze ..buriza and Pul , and um rune the other day.. Plus pretty good xp until like level 65ish
Yea especially if your a passive bowazon on any bowazon cows or travincal is better than mephisto its not mephisto that will kill you its his champions

Great video, man. Love your stuff. Quick question, is it better for magic finding if my character has a higher MF % but because I lose skills so have play on players 1 or is is better to put on better gear lose a bit of MF and play on players 3 or 5?
Depends where you're farming. Tunnels/pindle/pits/etc? Players 1. Mephisto/Andy/Big bosses? P3/p5 for sure.

also ive gotten some of the best items form regular monsters, rather than bosses. though boss runs "usually" is the best, but i mean the rarest item in the game doesnt drop from boss runs, but rather world stone lvl 2 hell
Cant you random role sockets or is that just in eth armors? I know theirs a recipe I've seen and used for eth armor that gives it random sockets. Never tried it on other items tho so not sure if it's specific to the eth armors or not.

Its okay to find uniques your after, and upgrade them if say normal or nightmare base? Or is it better to farm for the hell versions straight up?

1:04:12 That is list of TCs for weapons and armors, it is not list of all TCs in the game.
Tehnically amulets, rings and runes (heck even healing potions) have thier own TCs and those are not listed on that site.

hey llama, for me, baal runs are alot faster than mephisto on nightmare, because those weird little mullet baby warriors that spawn in groups of 15 just melt me compared to any mob in throne of destruction. Is there anything i can do to change this? Also, what can i do to get by lightning immunes? i end up having to just save and exit whenever i see the lightning immunes spawn in thrown of dest. im a trap sin. wondering if u had any tips thanks love the channel :)

I found a wizard spike today! It totally made up for the fact that I got an ethereal Griffons eye. Although if I get another one maybe I can put 1 on a mercenary for a lightning sorcerer and 1 on my sorcerer lightning sorcerer to stack the -lightning resist to monsters? Does the -lightning resistance to monsters stack like that for 2 Griffons eyes being worn? 1 on the sorcerer and 1 on the act 2 mercenary? Put reapers toll as the weapon for the mercenary for life steal and a treachery for armor?
The Mercs light attacks will benefit from his griffons, you won't benefit from the -light res if hs wearing it.

Man back in the day, I had an 86 Sorc with over 500% MF and I have never found an SOJ. Also had a game drop on me with tons of items I was transferring. Ali Baba bye bye, I think I quite playing for a week after that.

I love how you basically ignore the fact, that many people who complain about finding items are players who simply can't digest the grind. They do 15-20 runs and wonder where is the fat lootz. :D Meaning no disrespect to anyone, just saying, I've met plenty who aren't "built" to make hundreds of mephi runs.
but what about speed? Is there a way to reduce the time it takes to get to mephisto?

Does Magic find influence the probability a white item to turn to socketable?
Is there a chance to modify the chance a white item rolls quality/bad quality?
Are ethereal items a white item roll, or a socketable item roll?
Does mf increase the drop chances of charms jewels, or the chances it they turn rare?
MF increases the chance to have a higher rarity, so for jewels it would increase the chance of rare and unique
As far as I know, magic find does NOT affect chance of socketable or ethereal items. The chance for high/low quality is largely dependent on alvl, I think. Ethereal is independent of quality or item type (except for items that are always ethereal). After it rolls ethereal, bonuses to defense, damage, or durability are added.

Great video! I have a minor criticism. You tend to move in and out of the mics range throughout the video. You could try increasing your compression or working on your mic sense to avoid spikes and drop in volume. Thanks for the great tips!

How many goddamn andariel runs do you have to do to get SoJ and Maras? I played this game since LoD released and I have not once seen andi or meph drop SoJ. I only ever got it traded or from public 8man-baal runs with a lucky grab.

Lmao yea, I found Titan's Revenge from Normal Baal in the very first run. But then couldnt get anything but blues, cuz it was a new hardcore character. Nightmare Andariel delivers goods though. Almost enough to sustain 3 more characters with quality gear

My friend got me into diablo 2. After an hour or two a Gull dagger dropped. We sat there reading 100% for about a minute. We decided that the way statistics work is that 100% means only legendaries would drop now. We were sorely disappointed children.
