I've been watching PBG on and off for nearly 15 years now. I've grown from a literal child to a grown-ass man watching this guy, and he hasn't aged a day. Be it in content or appearance.
The most Silent Hill 2 thing for me is how everyone complains about the doors in different ways. Most= "The door is locked" Peebs "I can't get the door open." I'm always thinking about "The lock is broken. It can't be opened" as my favorite 'don't go in here' message personally.
Goddamn I have NEVER heard of Everywhere Road Trip before, now I want it! And a remaster! The one PS2 game that this video is REALLY missing is Gitaroo Man. GOD I love that game. Another obscure gem is Gregory Horror Show.
I had both Road Trip and Gregory Horrow Show growing up, finished road trip but never gregory horror house, it gets hard and wasnt much on internet back then
Growing up in a Nintendo and PS2 home, this makes me so happy! The PS2 platformers like Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper are just as near and dear to my heart as Ocarina of Time was growing up.
AYO Peanutbuttergoat playing games from one of the best consoles ever released. I was a Nintendo kid, but my friends were PlayStation and Xbox kids so I would go to their houses to play this consoles. I remembering playing games like power rangers Dino thunder and destroy all humans on my friend’s ps2
@@NarmyHiiragi I wouldn’t say the second one completely ruins the trilogy but it does lower the enjoyment of playing all three of them but by the time you get to the third one you feel a breath of relief and the third one makes up for the lackluster of ghe second one
My favorite PS2 game is a bit of a surprise. Many who play it don't like it, but I love it. Breath of Fire 5: Dragon Quarter. I love the characters, the atmosphere, and the game mechanics. Its a difficult learning curve to get used to since it is so different then most games, but it's good.
Holy crap I am SO glad you talked about Odin Sphere! I played it for the first time as the remake for the Vita and it was INCREDIBLE!! Such an underrated gem!
The PS2 was my JAM holy crap. So many good games. The ratchet and clank series,(up to deadlocked) the sly Cooper series(up to 3), Shadow of the Colossus, KH2, the Godzilla fighting games etc
I've never had the chance to play the original SH2, but I played the remake this month and fell in love with it. I was familiar with the Silent Hill franchise but didn't know a lot of the details and never really experienced it for myself, and man it was just such a special experience and I can understand why the original got so much love. Me personally, I prefer the remake as the original's voice acting and clunky gameplay would have taken me out of the experience unfortunately, but the original definitely seems to have more of an uncanny and nostalgic visual quality. Either way, it makes me happy to hear that you got as invested in the original as I did with the remake!! ✨✨
If you do more PS2 games, I recommend ATV Off-road Fury, particularly the free ride mode where you can drive anywhere you want (and catch a train in 2), and the best part… running into the map borderlines and getting flung halfway across the map like Team Rocket blasting off again! Best childhood memory ever!
Shadow of the Colossus is like my all time favorite game ever. It’s so nice to see Peebs talk about it. (It’s okay peebs, I also own it on three different consoles.)
I understand why you didn't commit to games like Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy as they are quite the time sink. And even though I would've loved to see you experience them, this video was still a blast to watch ^^
Loved seeing you visit these classics.Road Trip Adventure unlocked something deeply buried. Honestly even outside of a different console, I'd love to see this style with just the classic 3D patformers on PS2 that didn't get a look in here. Games like Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper,Jak and Daxter, Ape Escape etc.
Yay, new PBG video! 🎉 The Everywhere Road Trip game looks super cute, what an under rated gem! The PS2 has such a big library there are so many games to discover aside from the big franchises
I swear, I literally just binged a bunch of your videos last night, and now you grace us with your presence once again. XD This was a fun video! I've also been a nintendo guy since I was a kid, so it was really cool to see a lot of the games from a console that I've never played before. Great work!
What a coincidence. I have a ps2 arriving in 2 days. I never owned my own I had Xbox and GameCube but I played a ton of games at friends. Looking forward to sharing the games I grew up with with my son and trying some with him I've never heard of or never got around to playing as a kid.
Road trip is one of my fave ps2 games ever. Liked it so much, that I bought additional copies once my fat PS2 stopped reading them thinking it was a disc problem when the fats start to not like blue disks anymore. I also became a bit obsessed with the series and toys. They were the first Japanese toys i bought online. We did get penny racers, but they were garish and cheap. The Choro Q toys would've appealed to NFS and Gran Turismo kids, with the chibi JDM cars.
ps2 games I reccomend: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2, X-Men Age of Apocalypse, Yugioh Duelist of the Roses, Dark Cloud, Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, the sly cooper trilogy
It's cool seeing you talk about more non-Nintendo games and I wouldn't mind you doing more videos like this one. (Also yes, Shadow of the Colossus is amazing and now I have a strong urge to play it again)
PS2 for a whole month? Sounds like heaven. Or me when I was a kid Edit: While Silent Hill 2 is an amazing game I prefer 3 and even think that it's the superior game. But both are still masterclass in horror games, and I have include the first game with them. P.S. Playstation 2 Horror games for a month challenge could be a cool a idea for a Halloween video.
That's why i love the ps2, the library is huge and it was backwards compatible with the PlayStation. The bizarre gems, the cozy games, and trend setters.
PBG, speaking of rewarding satisfying progress in leveling up and moving through a game... Have you ever played "Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game"? its a side scrolling beat em up on the switch, ps3 (and the Playstation platforms forward), and I believe it might be on xbox. But it's totally something you might enjoy! I've played it periodically since 2013
Hey PBG! Happy Zel- Wait... PS2 Games? Huh. It's not Zelda but I'm sure it'll be fun! In all seriousness though, I know this is a video you've been working on for a while and this video was really fun to watch. It was fun watching you play and talk about these games and this video even got me interested in trying some games I've never even played before. I would totally love to see more videos like this with different video game consoles to see what other hidden gems you find.
Great video PBG, keep up the good work man! I grew up with the PS2 so it is fun to see it get some respect. I loved the Ratchet & Clank games, as well as the Armored Core, Smackdown, Dynasty Warriors and Tekken games to name but a few.
the original silent hill game is amazing but the voice acting, stunning graphics and atmosphere in the remake makes it a lot scarier for me, when James walks in on Eddie with the dead man at the table and the conversation that follows... Chills!!!
As someone who played the PS2 growing up, this was a good watch. Although I would have liked it if Peebs did some Lego games, Incredibles Rise of the Underminer, and of course Shadow the Hedgehog. How many of you can say they completed all endings and the true ending on the PS2?
I did this during Covid. Nothing but ps2 games for 1.5 years to work on my backlog. It was a blast! I beat 37 of them. 17 left lol best system hands down
I thought Jak 2 and 3 are the best PS2 exclusives. I know there's a lot of people who say Jak and Daxter is the best in the series, but to me it's just a really polished 3D collectathon. Jak 2 and 3 are unique games on their own.
9:23 I hear this is a common problem with the PS2 and HDTVs, text can be blurry and almost unreadable on new TVs, for example, I can barely read text when I tried to play the Lego Star Wars games.
These are all great games, but this does bring up one simple request. Peebs P. Peebington........ I was just wondering if you wanted to HANG out with me and smoke weed and fill our bellies with DIET soda and play Burnout: Revenge for the PS2?
Hey peebs I literally grew up watching your videos from all the way back when you were made your pokemon snap video. I'm 22 in less than a month and I'm so happy to see you still uploading
Since I see you have it through the remake collection I strongly recommend playing Ico if you haven’t. I understand why shadow of the colossus is talked about more but Ico is also an amazing game and sadly often overlooked.
PBG hasn’t aged in what seems a decade. He still looks the same from those Skyrim videos. *Note to self* Eat or smear myself in peanut butter more often.
Everywhere Road Trip feels like something that Lobbymemez ought to have played, since he's a big Cars fan. Come to think of it, I don't know if he likes Putt-Putt, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does, though he's probably not as big a fan of it as you are. Those gummies sound like Flintstones vitamins on steroids. If legit, a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta yabba-dabba-do. (that one's a Punk Duck original, not one of mine)
So so glad you ended the video with Silent Hill 2, it's truly a masterpiece of a game along with Colossus! Great video PBG, it's fun looking back at older consoles and seeing what their libraries had to offer for the time ^^
This was actually a lot of fun! Let me know if you'd like to see another one of these with a different console?? Thanks for watching!

You’re alive good job
what is good peebergameman
I would love to suggest playing Philips CD-i games for a month...but is there even enough games for that? Sticking with it, though. xD
Next console: Virtual Boy
I'm waiting for my copy of Katamari and your video is the apt balm to soothe my impatient soul.
Pubbagoo, his evil twin has taken over

I'd say SNES or PS4
Or wii
PS3 is better!

The audio “error” sounds the same as old PBG videos, kinda made me happy and nostalgic
LOL, yeah had some tech issues and had to use the backup audio files. Did my best to make it work.
PBG Saturday!! Let’s go!!
look at that peebs finally his password on peanutbuttergamer channel finally
OH MY GOD HE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!

@@lemmingscanfly5🤓Um actually, his name is Pubbagoo.
You should have played some of the old The Sims PS2 games Peebs. Interesting video though. I didn't play any of these.
I'm sorry peanutbuttergamer, but Arthur can have only one best friend AND THATS ME!!!
Which one you talking too? The one lying on the floor or the one holding the baseball bat without peanut butter jelly?

"Grüns are nut-free!"
Aww 😞
I haven’t even started watching the video yet, but I can already hear the complaints about how much PS2 surgery needed to be done.
Next do a month with only DS games.
Wish he played the best trilogy on the PS2, Xenosaga, but I guess even Austin's patience and wallet has its limits
It would take way more than a month to finish that trilogy they are extremely hard
It's hard to call it the best trilogy when only the first game is great and the second game is terrible.
@@NarmyHiiragi I wouldn’t say the second one completely ruins the trilogy but it does lower the enjoyment of playing all three of them but by the time you get to the third one you feel a breath of relief and the third one makes up for the lackluster of ghe second one
PS2 has so many games it’s insane. Feels like there’s less and less games with every generation.
I am so glad this channel is still posting.
I have been watching you since 2016 man, I am genuinely so happy seeing you thrive.

Kinda disappointed there was no Mr Mosquito. I think you would absolutely LOVE that game!
Dude, I recently just fell into the older PBG videos. What a coincidence to see this.
I've been replaying Kingdom Hearts 2, and loving it! And I recently beat the remaster of odin sphere, so good!
