@@Chaos89P He was in there a bit. I think the wookies mostly just called him up to ask him where Chewie was. I didn't see it though so I could be off. I mostly just saw clips of it.

I remember him in that because he looked sweaty as hell and like they couldn't get make-up that matched his skin tone so he was weirdly orange.

I don't know, the voice work is probably the best part of the movie. At least it seems better than the visuals, script and editing. Did you even hear that oscar worthy performance by grandma?

I remember in my Intro to animation class in high school, a lot of stuff came out looking like this. No textures and default lighting in every scene. The main difference is that no one had a budget at all, much less $500,000. There's no way there wasn't something underground going on here, and I'm only 3 minutes into this video.
I'm sure your daughter will grow up to be very flattered that her father dedicated this movie to her. She definitely won't be confused, concerned, or even insulted about it.
To be fair, this came out in 2002. A lot of cgi from this time is cursed, suffering from horrible textures (or being untextured) and bad lighting.
But I can only be so fair because Toy Story came out in 1995, and it looks 100x better than this.
Did your intro to animation class also produced 90 minute films? And paid famous voice actors?
Not saying this isn't terrible, but a lot of CGI from that time looked terrible, most of it was just the same flavor of terrible as this but with much better polish.
@@_korbo_ Fair. But there are ways to cheat around technology. They very easily could have gone for a simpler art style (think South Park) and it would have saved them a ton of time. Don't want to curl fingers holding a sandwich? Make stubby arms with spheres for hands with maybe just a thumb sticking out.
Believe it or not it was later discovered the animation technology used on this was specifically designed for training and not for the public as the director was weirdly insisted on using it and ignored anyone who questioned it.

Its actually not broken audio. A video was posted earlier this year with Great Grandma Fran's voice actor Debra Wilson and she confirms its intentional. I still love it either way.

Peebs is a great father not just for making a top quality video whilst caring for his child but that his child gets to watch the greatest movie ever made every year.
PBG’s festive videos (particularly his covering of A Pine Tree) are some of my favourites from over the years, looking forward to this one.

I love that PBG is now becoming Nostalgic critic but for Christmas movies
Even though Nostalgia Critic himself does Christmas movie reviews and has a running gag of causing mayhem for loving the holidays. If anything PBG is more of a sporadic reviewer throwing in random memes and sounds moreso than the Nostalgia Critic
Until now, I always figured the overlap between The Nostalgia Critic and PBG began and ended with me. I don't know why I thought that.

I find it odd that they claim the audio files got garbled yet there’s always key clear words like ‘Christmas’. It almost sounds as if directed her VA to say garbled nonsense and throw a few actually intelligible words in some spots
12:30 The best part about her voice is that she was supposed to sound like that. Debra Wilson actually did the voice during a UA-camr interview last year.
The saddest part of the cast for me is that the main kid, Ricky, is voiced by Walter Jones, aka Zack from Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.
As a fan of MMPR, wowsers, very surreal. Fun fact: he also did Nickelodeon’s Space Cases.

My daughter went to computer animation camp one summer when she was 15. Her final project was...about this caliber.
I'm pretty sure this was someone who had never animated a movie or written a script saying "I bet I could write and animate a movie..."

This movie is a fantastical piece of art and should be studied. The walk animations are that of graceful ballerinas dancing on stage. The writing has the eloquence of Shakespeares' plays and the music is as harmonious as Bach’s symphonies. It is a work of true art 😂
The “don’t you see Santa?” Was giving hard I Spy vibes. Peebs is really getting back to his roots.
