Honestly, I think single jointed arms are superior to double jointed ones. If done correctly, single joints can bend in just as much, but look way more pleasing aesthetically.
Something to note on that upcoming Flashpoint Phygital reissue, the boots are supposedly in a more translucent plastic to pair with the lightning accessories. If that's a deal-breaker for anyone, well you got the heads up from me. Otherwise it's definitely a figure I'm glad is seeing the light of day again.
Dude. I absolutely HATE softgoods for capes/cloths. But the “S” on the cape (wrong though it may be) is wicked awesome. However, most of your reviews help me decide if I’m getting a figure or not: this one is a “if I find it yes. Not from eBay.” Keep ‘em coming friend!
I'm not a fan of cloth capes either, especially on smaller scale figures. The hems and stitching almost always look weird, and once the wire starts poking through the material it's game over.

My action comics 1000 Superman snapped in half back in September while I was packing to move. So this is definitely on my list to pick up once I’ve moved to my new home. Hopefully by then there will be a Superman on the rebirth mold with the right blue for some limb swaps.
Can you do arm swaps with the TDKR Supes? Though it's still single-jointed, I think the arms look better than the ones we got here. Or perhaps Superman of Earth 3 from the Starro BAF wave? The blues look like a match. Great review by the way!
I think that the Atomic Skull vs Superman 2pack Superman is the best of the action comics # 1000 Superman. It had a great color scheme and some slight tweaks to make it better than the original. I passed on this and pre-ordered the Christopher Reeve Superman.
I know this might be a long shot, but how does this hesdsculpt look on the Superman vs Ultraman 2 pack Rebirth Superman? Do the skin tones match by chance?
I only have the superman from atomic skull so I'd gladly buy the darker version especially since I managed to get the platinum cyborg Superman so I have the perfect head to swap. My sincere condolences about the Cavill figure, I had something similar with Grifter. ;'(
I was thinking that extra upcoming Christopher Reeve head might look great on this body. While it looks similar to Reeve, I think it could easily work for a comic version.
What a difference a good real-cloth cape can make (especially if it's wired) Really elevates any figure you put it on and should really be the standard already if you ask me. Any line. Any company.
This figure is an outdated release fine for anyone who missed out years ago but an odd reuse. He doesn’t scale well with any of the other JLA team, Clark is taller than most but this fig is shorter than most. Not a good fit. As a solo Supes he’s okay but we STILL need a definitive Supes to add to the team. Still waiting Todd.
Since you've mentioned that you have pre ordered the BVS Superman vs Doomsday 2 pack plz compare that Supe buck next to Batman Hush and JLA, First Appearance or Three Jokers Buck but also for BVS Supe buck should be compared to TDKR and Earth 2 bucks respectively plz? 😊🙏
SUPERGOUT I actually prefer a nice big S emblem on Superman, to the point that the stretched-out look of the original never bothered me. Finally getting the symbol on the CAPE, however, balances things out I guess.
This looks good but it's a pass for me. I have enough Action 1000 that I used for parts. Maybe if this is ever on clearance so I can get more for parts. There has to be other Supermans that have the right shade of blue to swap the arms.

I’m pretty surprised about us getting more BVS figures especially the doomsday figure including the Batmobile for Batman beyond and the figure as well including the Christopher reeves superman figure which looks pretty good. I would have gotten this if it weren't for the outdated joints and my preference on a sculpted chest logo like on Knightfall Batman.
