Replacing an old patio sling

Here is a video I made for a friend on how to replace his Allen + Roth Safford Barstool Sling. I had the same issue with mine that after 12 or 13 years the fabric started to fall apart. Here is a video of my experience with it. Hopefully it will be helpful for you if you are trying to decide to replace your own.

We have the exact same set. Picked it up at a 2nd hand store for $60.00. Seats ripped just like yours. I am replacing them with Sunbrella fabric. I will. be posting a video on it shortly. LifeInTN Chevalier. I still have two to go and will use your spreader technique. Thanks Jack

@@Guitarislife1977 the first of two videos is posted LifeInTN Chevalier. Waiting for a few more yards of Sunbrella to finish the videos. I did buy a spreader clamp at Harbor Freight yesterday. It should help me produce a better product on the other two chairs.

@@janicekay4719 i have seen a video on UA-cam where a guy had the same set and installed prefabricated fabric.

@janicekay4719 Yes. The kits came with the fabric already sewn, and the plastic cord inserts also come. You just cut the cord to the length you need

Was the fabric already sewn when you bought them? Because I see a lot of them that you have to sew and I don’t have a sewing machine.

Yes, it was sewn. When you order it, you have to pick the exact chair you have, and the sling fits perfectly
