- You need a modified version of PCSX2 to be able to use it. Fortunately we have two options...
I tested the patches with PCSX2 Sanity, so I recommend it: github.com/Lum... (choose the -windows-64bit-Qt.7zip package from latest version if you are on Windows)
PCSX2 Sanity is a WIP project of mine, and it already has a working auto-updater. I have great plans for it.
The patches should also work with the "128MB Build", though I haven't tested them with it: github.com/xTV...
You can download the patches themselves from here: mega.nz/file/G...
Put the pnach files into the 'cheats' folder, then enable cheats in the settings. I will integrate the pnach files into PCSX2 Sanity eventually, but currently I am working on a way to handle patches differently. For the 128MB Build I will probably just open a pull request soon. Once that happens, you may find that the pnach files are already present in the cheats folder.

but how do you activate the menu? what combination of buttons i need to use?

@@LuminarLight i put the patch on ''cheats'' folder and a message apear at the start saying ''1 cheat patch activated'' but the L3+START or select dont work ... what am i doing wrong ?
Maybe the controller?
Did the game show the dolby screen? It should be skipped if game is indeed booted in debug mode.

Something interesting I remember happening on jak 3 on ps2 is when I was fooling around with flash freeze,supernova, and getting on zoomers at the same time before the explosions. One time the game buzz crashed. Another time it decided to teleport me onto a civilian zoomer half a mile away with a long camera pan as a stuck passenger(sitting inside the npc, couldnt control vehicle or get off.) I was able to fire another supernova which gave me identical results where it just warped me again. This time I just watched and waited for about 10 minutes when the npc zoomer decided to clip us through a wall into the void which is when I restarted. This happened when I was a kid(pre 2010 way before any debug stuff) might be worth messing with as I understand you are the highest authority on j&d oddities and weird programming although I was never able to replicate the crash or npc warping on my newer disc because the old one stopped working(could even just be a damaged disc exclusive bug)
I think this zoomer warping thing happens if you do something with the supernova. Maybe be on zoomer while shooting? Or shoot it, then quickly hijack a zoomer before the explosion?
The soundtrack of this game is amazing...
I’m praying the opengoal team port Jak X to PC. Making new racetracks or vehicle mods would be so cool
I'm probably going to come off as a giant noob for saying this but........ I put the .pnach file you linked into the "cheats" folder and booted the game only to be stuck at a blank screen. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've tried this on both the "Sanity" and "PCSX2-RR" versions. Any help would be much appreciated. Also love your content!
The patch is now included in Pcsx2-sanity. You just need to enable two settings, one for loading the debug mode patches and one for enabling the extra memory. The readme on the GitHub page should explain.

Amazing! How does work with respect to online? I remember you raising concerns about potential abuse during the reveal.
You can not go online with this, by default at least.
But I had discussions with someone who is working on the server, and there may be ways to ensure more safety. Though right now it is not relevant. If anyone wants to go online with this, they will run into obstacles.
Did you find something cool that went unused ?
I already explored Jak X before this, but it was painful. So far it didn't directly reveal much new unused content, but it will definitely help a lot in my future research.

I only ever tested it with PCSX2-Sanity, as the instructions say. There it works for everyone. Follow the instructions, maybe you missed something.

NTSC GH? What is that I am wondering? I have heard of the other two. PAL is for European copies right? Any reason the emulator suggests running PAL games at 50 ghz rather then 60 like NTSC?
NTSC GH is NTSC Greatest Hits. It is different than the other two versions.
It is the game that tells the console which video mode it is using. Older televisions were either PAL, or NTSC. Some supported both video modes but you usually had to toggle it in settings, it wasn't automatic.
is it possible on the Ps4 version? or only ps2?

Do you think it would be possible to make debug mode run on a freemcboot ps2 with openps2loader? Using raw cheat files and maybe even some soft script imports to the img file. or possibly even sdd trickery on a ps4/5 version?? I wonder?
It could work on a PS2 TOOL. Normal hardware isn't enough.
Can i get the debug menu for Jak3 on this version of PCSX2? (sanity). The "old version" i found for jak 3 does not work on my PC.
You should be able to just copy the 'cheats' folder from the 128MB Build into PCSX2 Sanity. And everything should work I think.

The Spartacus thing is the particle system/editor(?). Spargus is referred to as spargus.
