The first time I did this workout I was 7 weeks postpartum and it was so challenging! Now it's two years later, and I do NML workouts 5-6 times a week. And right after a full body strength workout this barre workout is still so hard! And so very good!
Me, not pregnant thinking this would be a nice add-on to the workout I just did to get some cardio in without having to wash my hair afterwards... What was I thinking haha! I am soaked! As a beginner when it comes to working out & also being 30weeks pregnant I'm proud to say that with some cheering on from my 9 year old & my husband I was able to push through this workout. Just started my walking about 3 weeks ago & I wanted a little versatility. Especially for rainy days here in Florida & with the whole Cov-19 situation. I've been excercising throughout my entire pregnany with different UA-cam videos and this one by far is my favorite! I really like how she keeps you moving and doesn't slow down. I loved this video, and I haven't loved a lot of the pregnancy workout videos I've done. I loved how she was so upbeat and it was at a good level for me. I have had trouble finding cardio to replace running now that that is too uncomfortable for me. I will definitely be doing this more! I took some moves slower because of muscle pain and soreness, but still felt like a really good workout!

Hi! I have really enjoyed your workouts. I am in my first trimester and am not familiar at all with barre techniques. I find myself not doing some of the moves correctly or just poorly, which in turn is making my lower back hurt more and upper neck when I add weights with your other great prenatal workouts. I have been doing light weights and HITT type exercises previously. Any suggestions on learning basic barre techniques before doing a full workout?
Hi Megan!! First of all, congrats on your pregnancy!! Barre is out of many people's comfort zones and I totally hear you -- some of the moves are brand new and will feel weird the first few times you do them! There are some classic barre moves (plies, second position, etc.) that you could read up on, but I really feel like the best way to learn is by doing. I would repeat this video (or this 25-Minute one, which is stretched out a little more so there's more room for practicing ua-cam.com/video/BSl6BYDhPY8/v-deo.html) really focusing on mastering the moves, potentially reducing range of motion or time under tension before adding weight!

Quick question. On the video of pelvic pain stretch when pregnant you suggest doing exercises that didn’t requiere opening wide the legs to not increase symphysis pubis pain. Barre has a lot a wide leg opening. Does this exercise interfere with that? Thanks!

I did! It was often tough but I tried to just get going and usually felt better once I started. Took a lot of rest days too, though! You've got this!

I loved this video, and I haven't loved a lot of the pregnancy workout videos I've done. I loved how she was so upbeat and it was at a good level for me. I have had trouble finding cardio to replace running now that that is too uncomfortable for me. I will definitely be doing this more! I took some moves slower because of muscle pain and soreness, but still felt like a really good workout!

Kk, really tried to stick it out but I have to respect my limits. I made it halfway through today, tomorrow I'mma try and do the whole 15 minutes. Not super difficult, very fun, energetic instructor, but not as "Haven't worked out in a while, it'll come back to me" as I thought.

I don’t think I could have done all of the exercises or repeats pregnant, but this was a great first exercise 10 days after Covid 😷, at least for me, and I took it easy, still I got a nice sweat out of it! ❤️❤️

Hi! I have really enjoyed your workouts. I am in my first trimester and am not familiar at all with barre techniques. I find myself not doing some of the moves correctly or just poorly, which in turn is making my lower back hurt more and upper neck when I add weights with your other great prenatal workouts. I have been doing light weights and HITT type exercises previously. Any suggestions on learning basic barre techniques before doing a full workout?
Hi Megan!! First of all, congrats on your pregnancy!! Barre is out of many people's comfort zones and I totally hear you -- some of the moves are brand new and will feel weird the first few times you do them! There are some classic barre moves (plies, second position, etc.) that you could read up on, but I really feel like the best way to learn is by doing. I would repeat this video (or this 25-Minute one, which is stretched out a little more so there's more room for practicing ua-cam.com/video/BSl6BYDhPY8/v-deo.html) really focusing on mastering the moves, potentially reducing range of motion or time under tension before adding weight!

Quick question. On the video of pelvic pain stretch when pregnant you suggest doing exercises that didn’t requiere opening wide the legs to not increase symphysis pubis pain. Barre has a lot a wide leg opening. Does this exercise interfere with that?

Hi! This is great! Would you recommend it for a 6 weeks pregnancy? I used to do weights 3 times per week, running 3 times per week, spinning and body combat 3 times per week too but my doctor told me to do something more quiet... would you recommend these exrcises for me? TIA!!!!
