Posted to Facebook BEFORE hearing this: In my previous life before retirement I was very active in lobbying legislators and government officials, both elected and otherwise. When one wants something from an official it is always best to be on one's best behavior and to know how to act and that is how I act when approaching officials everywhere. The ONLY place I have ever met a rude such official has been in The Philippines (and in the Philippine Consulate in Vancouver, BC, Canada).
Palitan na yan ng hindi madaling ma-stress na consul general at yung mas bata at marunong rumespeto sa kapwa nya. Hindi rason yung pagod na sya kaya sya nakasigaw sa isang kababayan na dapat pinagsisilbihan nya. Isa pa, hindi nya dapat itinatanong kung magdo-donate sa isang charity dahil dapat kusang loob na ginagawa yun ng isang tao, kapag tinanong mo kung "magdo-donate ka ba?" ay iniipit mo na sa nais mong sagot yung taong hinihingan mo ng donation.
There are Filipinos who earn less than 5 dollars a DAY as their minimum wage so, even IF this request for donation had occurred after the normal business had been completed, then even a 1/5 of a days salary for many people should be accepted and thanked in reply.
kaya nga sinabi na donation ehhh.. depende lng yan kung magkano at bukal sa puso ng nag bibigay. This is a very clasic case of kababayan that dont know what is true meaning of a civil servant is. Porque me position tingin nila mataas na sila.
Do you really know Mr. Ampeso? read this...Ampeso had previously faced accusations of misbehavior. In 1996, Luli Arroyo, accused Ampeso of sexual harassment. Luli was then a volunteer working for Manila’s preparations for the APEC Summit, at half past midnight on Nov. 8, 1996, a drunk Ampeso asked her “inappropriate questions” as she worked in the summit venue’s duty officer’s room. She said Ampeso also asked her to join him for drinks. Ampeso apologized to Arroyo in person and in writing.

Ultimo xerox copy machine ayaw ipagamit sa publiko samantalang full payment ang ibinabayad sa kanilang requirements what so ever. Uutusan kang " pumunta ka doon sa baba at mag pa xerox sa labas hindi dito " samantalang mayroon naman sa loob nila ang xerox copy machine. Talagang bukod sa mayayabang ang tatamad pa at mga abusado.
Hindi sa kinakampihan ko si Mr. Ampeso pero minsan suriin din natin sarili bago magsalita. Yung pabirong magsalita na magdonate ka ng 1 dollar pa sa PRC na mga kababayan mo makikinabang . Kung yung ibang Pilipino nga nasa Pilipinas na at lahat nagdodonate ng lubos cya pa na nasa Ibayong dagat. Yung tao stress out na tapos pabiro ka pang magsalita. Dapat alam nating makitungo sa isang taong nasa posisyon mas makikita pa na edukado tayo. At pagpupunta tayo saan mang ahensya maghanda kahit ballpen.

Insufficient information to pass judgment against Mr. Ampeso. He seems to have noble intentions; maybe a matter of delivery .....
Just Tuesday I went to see the person apparently in charge of the new airport in CDO and he simply told me to take up my land transport problems with LTFRB. Then he sort of shook my hand and dismissed me. In the US such an individual would soon find himself out of a job and I believe it should happen here. The reason it does not happen here is because Filipinos allow themselves to be treated like trash and thus have no complaints when mistreated.

Ngayon...ang dami mong allegation para makalusot ka.Sasabihin mo pa sa e mail wag kang takutin. Ang kapal mo rin. Ikaw ang nagkamali sa padala...ikaw ang kumuha sa kanya at ipadala mo dito sa akin sa Pinas at your expense. Lumayas ka diyan kung hindi kaya ang trabaho mo...wag mong tularan si Ampeso.

Dapat malaman din nang gobyerno sa atin sa pinas how rude ang mga nagtratrabaho dito sa consulado dito sa Vancouver ang yayabang nila they don't even smile and the staff are lazy.

Wag gamitin ang internet para makakuha ng simpatya lalo na kung para sa pansariling interes. Learn to fight your own battle at the proper forum and in the right way. Wag tayong paawa effect. Kaw ba Mr. Proceso alam mo ba kung ano rin ang pagkakamali mo?
kung madaling mainsulto si Ampiso, hindi siya dapat mag serbesyo sa publiko dahil talagang maka engkwentro siya ng maraming tao. hindi naman talaga tama ang ginawa ni Ampiso na gamitin niya ang kanyang position at gamitan pa niya ng coercion for people to give donation. sapilitan ba kung mag hingi ng donasyon? kung nanggala-iti na siya sa sobrang pagod sa trabaho, ang suggestion ko na dapat lamang na magpahinga na siya at ibigay sa iba ang kanyang position.

yes maybe the video alone is insufficient to draw up conclusions. but as a public servant you cannot shield yourself from public criticisms especially for this act of yours. with today's technology let us be respectful towards others. if we dont truly mind what we say or act against other people it could really backfire.

the consul should be fired because he is being unethical and very unprofessional, regardless of rank, they should be terminated immediately as they serve the people not us to cater to their whims

We need better and respective consulate personnels who knows how to deal with the public, not good in forcing people to donate for what ever. Jose Ampeso, the congen, main job is consular services not to collect donations. He should know better than that. He should be terminated on the spot upon arrival here in Manila. No need to give hime a chance. Set him as an example to the rest of show-offs and arrogant filipino diplomats abroad. They are useless anyway. Bunch of tourists.
Huwag kang high blood , Hindi insulto ang one dollar,dito sa UK kahit one pound bigay mo sa charity they will always say thank you Kasi nag bigay ka eh how much one dollar to peso masyado ka consul ,tanga pin mo kahit magkano bigay ng Tao at Taos Puzo anong kal mo sa abroad mayayaman mga trabahador Lang sila pati kami sa ibang bansa sumusuporta sa economical ng pinas ok .
