You know the shit is hitting the fan when you get Stipe out of the house to perform. Good for Jason. Conviction, integrity, great artist with a conscience. Thank you!
Kamala's automatic for the people. Thanks Jason and Michael for these soothing melodies, indirectly telling Trump to "shut up" once again. Long live the greatest band my world has ever known(R.E.M.). 💙🙏
just wondering - directed to those who are so unhappy with this performance - if you don't like these (fine) musicians, and don't like their interests, why are you listening to them? why spend so much time dishing out negative comments? i'm sure your time would be more valuably spent producing comments on posts more aligned with your interests. unless of course your underlying reason is to promote division and arguments. God Bless America - not just one group over another.
It is ok to voice criticism of musicians who one actually respect and like. I criticized Neil Young when he used his platform to boycott Spotify and then quickly landed a deal with Amazon.
Michael Stipe has become a very wealthy man from his music and I think thats great. It’s great to live in a country where a person who devoted their life to making music that brings pleasure to so many can also be financially successful. We are lucky to live in such a society.
Look at the talent we have on our side. Truly amazing. We also have the intelligence and morals. That cult is filled with very stupid people filled with hate and fear. We have already won.
What change are you talking about? Harris is the CURRENT vice president. If she is elected, we will have more of the same terrible policies and awful economy.
@@kennethgordon7900 Keep trying, Kenny. No one is taking your infantile whining seriously. Come back when you understand what the duties of the VP are. And the economy is doing great.
I loved the early 2000's when alternative music became popular. I came up in the 60's and 70's and alternative music gave me a chance to live a second childhood with my children. 😊
@@uncledoug9934 says the idiot who’s voting red for a third rate (generous) has been reality tv “star” “billionaire”. Why don’t you go buy yourself another pair of his shoes? Or maybe one of his watches?
Two of my favorites ( Stipe from way back and Isbell in the last 10 years). Never thought I'd hear them onstage together. But great musicians and great reasons to appear. Thank you for posting this! Let's hope they didn't sing for nought!
I very much appreciate your taping and posting this. The quality is really good! It was a great time and a beautiful night, and I'm so glad I was there. Thanks so much @saintsandpoets!!
So GREAT to hear Michael again and this was an AWESOME performance with Jason!!! 😎 They are both on the right side of history!!! KAMALA and TIM FOR THE WIN 2024!!!!! 💙💙✊✊🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice! Fables of the Reconstruction was the first R.E.M. album I bought and I still love it after all these years. Driver 8 is always a highlight - but frankly every single song is a highlight. I do not know the other gentlemen but I like what I heard and will check him out.
Hello from Belgium. I’m a long way away but can’t figure out why some, many, way too many can’t see that the only road with Trump is the highroad to insanity.
The emperor has no clothes. I see it, you see it. An angry man who keeps telling Americans about different groups of "Others" that we should hate, who lies and lies and lies, and who puts himself ahead of the country every single day -- that's not a future that helps any of us. Hopefully tomorrow our country sees it too.
Thanks so much for sharing this. Some minutes of these two musicians are better than lots of 90 minutes concerts with tickets for 100 or more dollars or euros.
Two of my absolute favorite artists! - Saw R.E.M. for the first time in October 1984 (my first concert ever 🙂) in a church at Washington University in St. Louis. The setting combined with the music was transcendental. Stipe was politically charged then as he is now. He DID NOT like Reagan. Suffice it to say we're in a much darker place today which makes me treasure his and Jason's music all the more. Thank you both for sharing your gifts with the world. We need them now more than ever.
Ps. Music is the greatest escape. Books might supply an alternative method, but music is powerful and quick with greater results. Music makes me weep, laugh, rage and live. What more holy thing can i take from life, but music. Thank God for music. Music is our gift to each other, a shared story or experience,a touching experience and is different for each of us. For me, always intimate is the lyric of waters, dylan, colvin, stipe, marley, and so many others. You are all our brothers. What a gift music is!!❤
Loved these band members in high school and today. Poignant, appropriate and real, they stand up for America by making music. That's what they do. Gentlemen, i salute you.😊
You know the shit is hitting the fan when you get Stipe out of the house to perform. Good for Jason. Conviction, integrity, great artist with a conscience. Thank you!
Well said! Definitely agree!
Great artist and musician. Great integrity. But so wrong politically.
Beautiful. Some of my favourite artists of all time. I love REM. I pray Democracy prevails. Vote wisely, this could be America's last election. 😢
Kamala's automatic for the people. Thanks Jason and Michael for these soothing melodies, indirectly telling Trump to "shut up" once again. Long live the greatest band my world has ever known(R.E.M.). 💙🙏
It’s good to see this. I miss the REM/Athens, GA days. Legendary.
Great to see Michael singing again 👍🌈🗽🇬🇧🇺🇸🦈🌈🌊
Nice! So great to Michael Stipe’s voice again. REM is such an amazing band 💙💙💙
Grateful to see that they’re helping to fight a Good fight ❤💙⭐️⭐️👍Great Music 🎶
From Australia. Loved this. The contrast from the other "rally" couldn't be more stark. Hope and optimism versus hate, fear and division. 💙💙💙
This Australian in Gardenvale, approves .... Well said😁
100% agree either way you, my fellow Australian! Go Harris/Walz 👊🏼💙💙
Fantastic artists for a great cause!!!!

Jason Isbell is the finest songwriter of this century
@@bethsteele1324 He is extremely overrated. What do you consider to be his best song?
@@igloozoo3771It was great that Neil shafted that fool Rogan.
@igloozoo3771 the one that's most extremely overrated, of course. The one you hate the most.
Music for the win. No self respecting musician is voting Trump. 💙
Stipe we need you more then ever!
Thanks for caring Jason and Michael !!! And making a stand!
So much love for these two men, their gifts, and their voices.
Great to see Michael Stipe. He's been a little thread thru my life all the way back to 1986. I still remember when & where I heard my first rem song.
I miss Michael Stipe's voice! It's great to hear him out and about!
Same!! I was worried a bit at the beginning but hes still got it!
Michael is a great American musician. I'll arm wrestle anyone who disagrees. 💙✌️🗽
Thank you guys for playing and working hard for our country.
It’s always great to hear Stipe again. Isbell’s solo guitar arrangements are excellent!
I love Jason Isabel the fact he is a Harris and Walz supporter makes me love him even more.
Driver 8 is one of my REM favorites. Well done, dusting off this great track.
I love so many of his songs, but Driver 8 is a favorite. I saw REM perform at Jones Beach Theater in NY I think it was 2008.
I could listen to this ALL day. Makes me miss REM so much!

It was so wonderful! Thank you Harris Walz 2024 and Jason Isbell and Michael Stipe!

I miss R.E.M. but respect them for not dragging out their careers. Glad to see Michael every once in a while

So awesome to hear Michael sing. He's too young to just sing on occasion. 😊

Stipe ,godlike and singing like an angel as always and excellent guitar playing by Mr isbell, does it get any better ❤
Sweet and low. Vote Blue.
LOL,... they got Kid Rock and Ted Nugent. 😝
And one of them used to "like them young" to the point where he wrote songs about it.
Rock and Nugent are old, outdated, nasty and gross.
