Pink Floyd is one of those very special groups. Next level. I am going to suggest "the great gig in the sky" for your next Pink Floyd reaction. "Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?" I always believed this had to do with being killed soon after arriving on the battlefield, versus doing long jail time for dodging the draft. This was recorded either during or at the very end of the Vietnam war. I know you can't react to an entire album, but Pink Floyd albums are designed for you to smoke out to, and then play the entire album. Someday after you're done with all the reacts, you need to listen to an entire Pink Floyd album either dark side of the moon or wish you were here.
I've seen Pink Floyd 3 times live. Of all their songs, especially this one, they're AWESOME!!! Ok, after listening to the end of your conversation..... Paranoid Eyes. Things like Money, Another Brick In The Wall, and Time are all great. But the songs off of 'The Final Cut' like 2 Suns In The Sunset, Paranoid Eyes & Not Now John evoke feelings!
"Did you exchange a walk on part in a war For a lead role in a cage" This song was in part about Syd Barrett, the original singer/guitarist who had mental issues after too much acid, aka LSD. This line was in reference to Roger Water's father, who was caught stealing a watch and chose to enter the military instead of jail. He died first day he was deployed in WWII. Peace & Love.

- Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Then just start listening and don't stop until you've heard them all. Then wait for your soul to settle back into your body, then listen to them all again and you're soul will be a little more prepared for it but still will need to restabilize itself, and when it does..... Do it again. And again. And again.....
That's Leonardo da Vinci's mona lisa painting. Yall crack me up so much
I so appreciate how open you are to new experiences. This is one of my fav Pink Floyd albums.
I like you guys. You make me feel good with your exuberance. Shine on you crazy diamonds!
Comfortably numb live By Pink Floyd!! Pleaaase
This
Mind will be blown!!!
No, no, no. Studio version first. The guitar solo in the live version is amazing but the studio version is so much better as a song.
"Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a leading role
In a cage?"
For a lead role
‘The bit you were stuck on; ‘a walk on part in a war for a LEAD ROLE in a cage’
thats queen Elizabeth..hAAAAA this dude crazy
This is my favorite song from Pink Floyd.
This song is about one of the band members that did lots of drugs mostly LSD and he could tell the difference from a trip to reality. He was never the same. So this song is dedicated to him because they missed him so much.
Pink Floyd is one of those very special groups. Next level.
I am going to suggest "the great gig in the sky" for your next Pink Floyd reaction.
"Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?"
I always believed this had to do with being killed soon after arriving on the battlefield, versus doing long jail time for dodging the draft.
Y’all need to pick lyric videos. Getting distracted by the videos and shit
Many of the videos they watch have the lyrics on them.
@@BlackavarWD that's a really shit thing to say
Yes this isn’t a video. Just someone put it together. For this song a lyric video would have been good

Especially for these two.
Guys, I was 24 when I heard this song the first time. Now I'm 75 and I still love it. Good on you that you found the real music 🙂
I still listen to pinkflody ever day age 64 plus I see these live 14 time and I just love it
You should listen to “don’t fear the Reaper” by blue oyster cult, it’s an amazing song and one of their best by far
“Queen Elizabeth” 😂😂😂 It’s the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci
"Did you exchange a walk on part in a war
For a lead role in a cage"
This song was in part about Syd Barrett, the original singer/guitarist who had mental issues after too much acid, aka LSD. This line was in reference to Roger Water's father, who was caught stealing a watch and chose to enter the military instead of jail. He died first day he was deployed in WWII. Peace & Love.
You guys are a breathe of fresh air, playing the songs I grew up on... keep it up, I'm hooked on your channel!!!
I love your reaction! Pink Floyd will be loved for generations. You guys are helping to showcase greatness.
this song was for their friend, Syd Garret, who had to leave the band after a mental breakdown. He never recovered.
Syd Barrett 😉

Pink floyd- Time
Probably my most favorite song. I sing this song and think of my dad who also loved Pink Floyd. Miss you dad. (Be there with ya someday soon.) So glad you two like this song. Love watching these videos with you two. You always make me smile.
I'm an old head. I love watching you two discovering the classics I listened to when I was your age and enjoying them just as much.
