- Just broke 8,000 missions played recently, going to quickly go through all the classes and show what all of their tools are capable of in the right hands. Builds are shown at the end of the video.

I think the best thing about playing Gunner solo is you get to take as much ammo as you want from resupply pods, also the gameplay is fire, I definitely learn a thing or two when I watch you play!

I’m still new to the game and I immediately fell in love with gunner. He’s the definition one a Jack of all trades, but he actually does it well since he doesn’t really sacrifice too much for that ability. He still has amazing single target and area.
Def not a Jack of all trades, has the worst mobility of any class

@@bimss7969 yes but combat is only one part of the game and mobility is part of the combat. The gunner can’t weave in and out very well nor build a front line. Outside of combat he sacrifices every good thing about every other class, slow mobility, low mobility item ammo, his 4 is entirely dedicated to combat. He‘s not a Jack of all trades, he’s specialized in murdulating every enemy and then just kind of limping along till more enemies show up

Agreed. Lil dude can kill a Nemesis on his own without it even aggroing on you. Granted, it takes a while, but it’s completely safe.

It's only an unkillable bulk detonator. How bad could it be?
For dreadnought missions i always equip my pistol with the radioactive damage upgrade, its so op for dreadnoughts, both for doing damage to the weakpoint and for taking down its "shield"
Just fire your radioactive damage rounds at it and then switch to your primary to maximize the damage.

only thing different to me at 1k games total is the deposit spam, I assume you have to pickaxe-cancel to get it that fast now? since just spamming E doesnt work anymore

Everytime i see haunted caves i really dont want to do them ( i spend so much time playing 'ring around the MULE' trying to deposit) i wish we could ping it with bosco and have him slow it down with his electro rounds or even his cryo rockets. But nope, he wont fire at the invincible ghost, which can make it a pain for dwarves without any method of slowing the ghost down

I didnt know you could use the ghost to damage dreads/bugs
Certainly safer than using a detonator. The ghost just doesn't hit as hard and is usually survivable
Not mining the Crassus gold is leaf lubber activities.
I know you dont need it but it physically pains me seeing all that gold left behind like that especially with the Crassus
It was proven to be inefficient to gain xp and credits by mining gold. Wish they just made gold a rarer but much more valuable resource so it would be worth the time to mine it.
@@fxracer1860 not dwarven. if i signed up for a mission then damn it i’m gonna go for every last bit of ore the caves have to offer. i’m here for a good time, not an efficient time (i still do kind of understand it though but c’mon)

What's the deal with all the animation cancels? Is it just swag or does it provide a meaningful timesave

Animation reload canceling is especially good when larger portions of a animation are irrelevant. Power attacks and reloading the Thunderhead come to mind.
The reload animations only matter until the number updates to show you reloaded. If you had 24 rounds and could hold 36 you could reload and cancel the animation by switching weapons, mining etc. the gun will still have the 36 rounds and use them, so it can save a few seconds which are better spent shooting and mining. This can save you in higher difficulties. Especially in deep dives
@@dirtydan3029 Personally, I wonder if at this point game devs include little exploits like reload cancelling intentionally to reward experienced players. It's too common across too many different games for them not to know.

How do you get bosco to throw you the eggs?
Press "Shout" (X on PC) when Bosco is within 10m and he throws his cargo at you.
Otherwise he just drops it and flies to you.
Is there a reason it's super quiet?

How are you doing those quick deposits? You used to be able to spam "E" to do it but they fixed that in the recent update.
Swing pickaxe each time after you press e. Basically just right click as fast or faster than you press e and you can spam deposit.

Pretty sure it's just him jumping at the end of the speed bonus to carry the momentum in the air; if that's what you're asking

You had a lot of down time where bosco could have been mining things in the 4 egg mission
That was BRT. The weakest weapon in the entire game, even lithofoam make a better progress, instead of this "gun".
And it only in his hands make this ship

Seems like typical mission with a lead storm minigun OC, which is always a worst pick for solo missions as your mobility is a key in these. If you really want to use lead storm OC so much, i would rather take Bulldog with explosive magic bullets and neurotoxin on it. That way you can at least apply lead storm to enemy effectively without any issues and deal significant damage during the times when you are jumping and running around trying to find a good angle to make use of it. I would also never took cluster grenades on mission like this. There was a moment when you almost killed yourself with them. With OC like that on minigun you really want to use grenade that causes fear on impact and can be used to damage enemy on a wall without almost killing you in the process (5:54). Hellfire on magma map is also not a great pick i must say. That's my opinion on this.

any reason not to go for leadburster? its got the highest damage and can melt detonators and rockpox swarms and stuff
also 2nd and 3rd primary cover for area damage
