To me this is very entertaining, like watching a pro-athlete in an olympic games fighting for the honor of dwarf country. Amazingly entertaining and intriguing, you are truly on another level of scout mastery compared to us mere mortal greaybeards with "only a fully promoted scout" xD
Insanity, point extraction's unique spawns compared to other missions is what makes it a favourite of mine, it's interesting to see how you play in modded situations as we all know vanilla is your preferred style of play. Another modded challenge I found dangerously fun was using Massive Content Revise to simply scale the mission objective tenfold, on a point extraction collecting 70 (dare I say 100) aquarqs while the mission gets progressively intense on hazard 5 is nightmare gaming at its peak
i love watching videos where you comment on missions especially when its a challenge because just by the fact youre mentioning what youre doing let alone explaining it im learining so much stuff that i can put into practice when doing missions also movement speed grapple we stan
Feel like second wind would be mandatory just to be able to not die, but I think its possible. dash and second wind can keep you alive, if your engineer you can take RJ250 to clear trash and path at the same time. the platforms would be used to manipulate and chokepoint the bugs. I think its very possible, you just have to know what kiting will get you killed, and what kiting is okay to do
I backed out from one of those once after 20min because one spike was literally on the wall and I was the driller, the other engi was clueless so that was a doomed mission, but with 4 competent team even 3 spikes PE is easy, where everyone can solo a spike without much trouble, that's the real fun.
The broken bug ai is because there is a cap on how many bugs can target the player at a time Im pretty sure that limit is around 30 but you can increase it with mods
Get what you mean about being frazzled. Did a challenge EDD (turret arc & spinning death) and in the final mission I forgot to recall my sentries at least a dosen separate times
theres a feature with the caretaker where it deletes all enemies on the map (including bosses) on death, which kind of ruin the challenge like the detonators. Also I dont even know if they can spawn outside the setpiece in Industrial sabotage
*laughs* I loved your little animated ghosts and ALL the description at the front. Really loved your priority list and why you care about each of the enemies and bosses that you care the most about. So much information about things I had no idea about, like that the warden heals, that the taser bolts can deal with the prospector, and what assumptions you normally make that aren't applicable here and why. This is also such an endurance run, and you're moving the *whole* time. That you only had the one crystal you missed at the end of ALL of that is amazing... Congratulations! *laughs* Amazing what you do to challenge yourself.
In hindsight you could have used the cleaning pod as another supply drop on the dreads, but don't get me wrong, you have balls of stone for trying it and deserve tons of respect for succeeding.
Wouldn't this challenge be harder with Regen Bugs instead of Shield disrupt? As most non-boss type enemies would regenerate health, forcing you to finish off those who you started before moving on, unless you're willing to have all the ammo that went into the enemy go to waste. And having the shield wouldn't really offset that amount of extra ammo needed. So, every spawned enemy would drop a chunk of 1 Nitra on death, just to allow you to stay on top of things longer.

Hilariously, there IS a way to spawn Machine events, but it requires a different method than the spawn mod he used. It's a bit more cumbersome to setup, so wouldn't have worked well for this kind of challenge, unless it was spawned right as the mission started. As far as I know, its impossible to spawn a functioning caretaker 😆
why exactly did you have the brood nexus as such a low priority? from my relatively rudimentary knowledge, i feel like it would be one of the things to take care of first, along with the breeders. also - are the gas clouds left by praes and oppressors worth using at all for their damage to smaller bugs, or is it just kinda superfluous?
The in-game voice lines might be tricking you. Brood Nexus is an extremely low priority target. One swarmer every several seconds is negligible, especially on point extraction. That's because point extraction ensures that you will always have enemies on your tail forever anyway. As for naenocyte breeders, I thought those were a top priority. That's because the spawns of that enemy are much more frequent, the enemy attacks slow you down, and the fact that they fly means it's hard to get rid of them with splash damage weapons while killing other bugs.
@@dinosaurkin5093 Surprising. How do you deal with the naenocyte jellyfish that it keeps spawning? I thought the sheer number spawned and the fact that their attacks slow you down made killing the Brood Nexus important for every class except driller

Idk if he killed it in the beggining, but i didnt see the Bulk Detonator, Otherwords, He did awesome just didnt see that bug.
he stated he isnt going to spawn bulks, because their splash damage could easily kill other enemies and make the challenge more trivial
I think the extra dreads are a bit too overkill, maybe you can simply leave the two bulks for lategame when most stuff is already cleared.

Brood Nexus is lower priority then lootbugs. It's never worth the ammo it takes to deal with them.

@@b33nz25 Brood nexus creates glyphid spawns. Jellies are spawned by naedocyte breeders.
