What do I need to get into watches 2. How do you price watches and how do I know watche prices and market value, have been looking for websites like kitco for gold but haven't found any 3. Which management software can I use to run reports 4. Where do I source watches 5. By the way I'm 21, and you inspired me a lot. I just got the Blueberry version. It’ll be my travel companion where I won’t sweat it if I damage, or even lose it. Yet, it’s stylish, reliable, and most of all, it makes me feel good which is what it’s all about.
I found your channel through the teddy video. Glad I did! I just ordered this watch can’t wait to get. It’s giving me the vibes I got when I first started collecting :)
I recently got one of these new Seiko 5's (SRPD71) but not the GMT. I was actually surprised that I liked it but it is a good watch. I think the non clicking bezel would be a big turn off for me on this one, other that that, looks really solid. Thanks for sharing, have a great week. -David
What Seiko 5s have in common: price point If you're going to pick on anything, though, the 4R movement? Losing loads of seconds? The 4R34 is part of a fairly reliable family. I've got a Phoibos Sea Nymph on my wrist right now which has an NH35 (4R35) movement that loses 0.5 seconds a day. Dump on the Hardlex, not the 4R34!
Just got an Orient Kamasu SS Diver (blue face, easy read, day/date/hour/second, great lum, 120 notch uni-directional bezel, blue ceramic insert [I think], coated IO sapphire window, 200 meter, screw crown) plus SS bracelet (pin guards, small & micro adjustments, 2-lever clasp with secondary flip). Item No. RA-AA0002L19B. Movement F6922 automatic, 22 Jewels, 21600 vph, 40 hour reserve. Great weight. Comfortable edges. Beautiful slope to bezel. Crown guard with decent access. Nice brush/polish mix finish. Not GMT. No window back. No date cyclops. Flimsy clasp (on nice bracelet). Unbeatable at USD$183! Next... Great vid!
Final geek (promise): Finish the Orient with 4 more layers of anti glare (2-I/2-O), more lum, and a more interesting design crown (semi onion with blue gem)... Grand Seiko killer:) Thanks for playing.
Never really liked the regular Seiko’s. The vintage King Seiko’s and Grand Seiko’s are great and I have owned them. This Seiko is good looking however. The hold back would be the bracelet as you and many others have said Seiko bracelet are not great. Great video Britt keep’em coming.

My watch box has some luxury and professional watches. One time I ordered my first Seiko, later I bough another one, and recently I managed to buy me a long time sought after SKX007. Believe it or not, when opening the box in the mornings at home when not working, I am more often pulling out one of the seikos than the Swiss ones. They are great watches when fitted with the right straps/bracelets.
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments.
Hi Britt. For people like me, who travel a lot and actually USE their wristwatch as a TIME reference, the difference between a "Desk/caller GMT" and "Traveller's GMT" is a BIG one. We just want to be able to EASILY switch the hour hand ahead or back in hour steps, with the date following along (forward or back) without stopping the secongs hand. Why? Because just after takeoff on a trip to a different time zone, I just pop the crown and move the hours hand forward or backward in discrete 1-hour increments BY FEEL without disturbing anything else. Then I'm ready to go for my next stop/connection - easy to do, hard to make a mistake. Try THAT on a darkened night flight with turbulence on a Desk GMT - Ack! Hard to do. Many watch companies, like Omega and just recently Seiko (on their GS line) realized that this is THE critical ability (jumping hours hand with following date) - the 24 hour hand is nice, but not critical at all. A desk/caller GMT requires a complete reset to really change timezones on the regular hours hand. It's an interesting complication, but not terribly useful, unless you sit at a DESK and are making a CALL to customer in ONE different time zone. Pretty limited. Of course, if you have a smart watch or phone, this is really irrelevent. But lets face it - if you're sporting a mechanical GMT watch of any type, you've already decided you like kinetic, mechanical jewelry. So much the better if its actually usefu!
Affordable GMT with hacking, the mod guys are going to love this one, before you know it there will be an array of colours and combinations to suit everyone, cant wait! the meaning of "5" is automatic winding, a day and date display, water resistance, a recessed crown at 4 o'clock, and a durable case. So they can put a million combinations of watches together and still be called a "5" Great review 💯
You don’t lose tons of time daily on a Seiko. Japanese brands always give incredibly conservative numbers for rated accuracy. It might say something like -20 to +40 per day but I have five Seiko and a timegrapher and they are almost always under +\-5 seconds per day.
I've had the blueberry about a year or so. I haven't worn it much until just recently and am really beginning to enjoy it. Imo the bracelet is a step above the usual Seiko offerings and the half blue bezel looks great.
Perfect watch to know what time is gonna be in Bowmanville when you start drinking their tears after you pass their population with subscribers, haha! 🤣
LMAOOO! This comment nearly made me spit my drink out! The AGRRESSIVE “drinking their tears” hahah. YES. YES INDEED! Take that bowmanville! SHOULDNT HAVE BULLIED ME IN HIGHSCHOOL BETCH
I just recently bought the 2nd edition Seiko Brian May Red Special. It comes on a NATO strap. It is a bit thick. But it wears nice. If you want an even cheaper mechanical watch. Have a look at Orient. They're a sister brand of Seiko.
I have three of them! Two are identical- I lost one for a while so I just replaced it for $100, then I found the lost one! Now I have two the same (SNK789)! Can’t do that with a Rolex. They are literally beautiful - day/date, applied markers, perfect dial. My third one is a green dial aviator variant - crisp printing, lovely handset, etc. Their accuracy is ok once regulated. Yours in the video is the new fancy type, pick up some older generation ones for $100 each and learn the Seiko shuffle (since you can’t hand wind those)! They’re the best for reminding yourself what is accomplished in the first $100 of your $10k Rolex. It’s fun!! Seiko 5s are the only thing that makes sense in this hobby…
I really don't like the SNK79 UFO case but the dial is amazing so I swapped mine into a SNKL23. Aaaand having reread what you wrote your talking about a different watch. Dang you Seiko and your inane model numbers! 38mm with 18mm lugs? I might have to get me one of those.
As the owner of the Seiko SKX007,SKX009 and SKX173 I bucked the trend and bought the Steinhart Ocean One vintage GMT .The quality is just way better on the Steinhart and a better movement.
I have one of these and absolutely love it especially for travel, Yes the quality isn’t quite as good as my Tag Carerra but still very decent for the money
I find that the placement of the winder, thickness of the case, and the "coin style " bezel can pretty much tell you it's a Seiko. (Or a copy) And the comparison to mac and cheese to be very cute.
Seiko has a huge heritage and I'd disagree with the nandos analogy. Just because it isn't Rolex or Patek doesn't mean it's middle of the road. Theres a reason they've been around and popular for nearly 150 years. Reliable, good looking workhorses. I believe every watch collector should have at least 1 Seiko in their collection. Change the bracelet and you're good to go for not a lot of money.
If you are here just to see Gringa and not the watch, clap your hands 👏 P.S. You need something for the background. It looks so empty now 🤷🏻♂️ Maybe a nice picture!?
BAHAHA oh BLESS! Thank you so much! And I was thinking that too!!! I was thinking maybe a couple of big pictures behind me?! Gotta wait for AdSense payday! 😜

I do like a a cheeky Seiko on a nato. They've got some hidden gems if you dig around. I think calling it the Nandos of watches is a pretty fair assessment.
About 7 months ago I bought a Pagani 1662 GMT for about 125€ to see how good the movement can be. Out of the box it was 15 seconds fast. I adjusted it over a period of a few days to see how accurate I can get it and it has been rock steady at less than +/- 0.25 seconds per day or +/- 7.5 seconds/month, that is not a type-o. So far it has held that for the past 6 months without missing a beat. You have to have them adjusted as I have done but if you are not afraid of getting into the movement I recommend it over paying $ 500 which is a chunk of change. Food for thought.

Here's a fun tidbit: the '5' in 5 Sports is more than just a simple numeral-it represents the five core pillars of the entry-level 5 Sports collection: an automatic movement, a day-date display, adequate water resistance, a crown at four o'clock, and a case and bracelet built for durability -google
San Martin SN015 GMT has entered the chat LOL. Higher specs, and around $100 + dollars less in cost. It has a 4hz (ETA clone) movement, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, 200M water resistance, better overall finish of case and jubilee bracelet (with screws not pins), bi-direction bezel with click, anti reflective coating, super bright lume on dial AND bezel... I feel like there is more, but you get the idea.

Yeah, yeah. We cool guys who wear Seiko dive watches, know very well the rotating bezel on our watches is not only for "dive time" but also very good for everyday time keeping such as parking, cooking, the washing machine and millions of other uses including as chronograph AND to use as a 12 hours "GMT". No need to set the watch movement for a new time zone; just a quick turn of the bezel and it's all set.

This is driving me crazy youtube is hiding your videos from me and I seem to always be late to the videos, I love Seiko it's for sure my fav watch brand hands down, glad to see you make a video on the Seiko5 G.M.T.. You didn't come off snobby, I don't think you did anyway don't over think Britt good video again see you next time.
That was my fault! I don’t think she did really but just said I could see where some peeps who didn’t know her style of humour might think she was 🙈🙈🙈
5.9” and rocking the blueberry, this watch is a must get in my opinion 😍
I’ve always appreciated that the metric system has buttload as the building block unit of measurement
Buttloads of seconds is inception level measurement within a measurement!
There are so many fantastic watches for under 2000. I’m done paying big for one, when I can buy and support the up and coming micro brands with real people behind them. Love the Seiko ,William Wood, Weiss, Studio Underdogs of the world. Thanks Gringa
It’s not like Seiko is a micro brand.
Seiko isn’t a micro brand lol
That’s actually a really cool watch & distinctly Seiko. It’s not trying to be a GMT Master & I like that!
Hello Brittany, this is Cheick from Africa in Congo Republic.
The reason I'm texting you is that I'm running our family owned jewelry business 4th generation, I'd love to get into watches so I'd like to ask you some few questions if you could help.
1. What do I need to get into watches
2. How do you price watches and how do I know watche prices and market value, have been looking for websites like kitco for gold but haven't found any
3. Which management software can I use to run reports
4. Where do I source watches
5. By the way I'm 21, and you inspired me a lot. I'd love to meet you one day
Waiting for your reply, I'd really appreciate your help
I just got the Blueberry version. It’ll be my travel companion where I won’t sweat it if I damage, or even lose it. Yet, it’s stylish, reliable, and most of all, it makes me feel good which is what it’s all about.
This review cracked me up! Well done Britt! From TO with love!
Congrats on 30k!!! 🙌🏼
-David
What Seiko 5s have in common: price point
If you're going to pick on anything, though, the 4R movement? Losing loads of seconds? The 4R34 is part of a fairly reliable family. I've got a Phoibos Sea Nymph on my wrist right now which has an NH35 (4R35) movement that loses 0.5 seconds a day. Dump on the Hardlex, not the 4R34!
TBH hardlex IS more of a let down than the movement.
I've had an Orange Monster for ten years and the Hardlex crystal has held up just fine. I have zero issues with with the hardlex.
A trip to my watch maker. He regulated the 4R movement to within + 4 seconds a day.
OMG slurping on the coffee "not copying Adrian" killed me 🤣🤣
The hardlex bezel insert is a game changer
Seiko is just such an endearing watch brand for me
Just got an Orient Kamasu SS Diver (blue face, easy read, day/date/hour/second, great lum, 120 notch uni-directional bezel, blue ceramic insert [I think], coated IO sapphire window, 200 meter, screw crown) plus SS bracelet (pin guards, small & micro adjustments, 2-lever clasp with secondary flip). Item No. RA-AA0002L19B. Movement F6922 automatic, 22 Jewels, 21600 vph, 40 hour reserve. Great weight. Comfortable edges. Beautiful slope to bezel. Crown guard with decent access. Nice brush/polish mix finish. Not GMT. No window back. No date cyclops. Flimsy clasp (on nice bracelet). Unbeatable at USD$183! Next... Great vid!
Mod in a sapphire back and upgrade clasp to include beefy, polished and a wetsuit extension... insane.
Right?! I feel the same. Seiko was never really my thing. I know they have a cult following and people who love them… i just wasn’t really one of them. But I really enjoyed this one! More than I thought! 😱💕
Every time you make a Seiko video you sound closer and closer to getting one so I'm keeping some champagne on hand so I can pop it when you make a video announcing you've pulled the trigger on one. I personally prefer Seiko/Grand Seiko but understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. However, having one in your collection certainly won't hurt!
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments
I understand certain brands aren’t for certain people but the Seiko slander by many people is getting annoying and tiresome.
This Seiko 5 GMT slaps, it's insane!
RIGHT?! 💕✨
Love Orange 😇

It's such tempting Seiko to buy. The name says it all. The Seiko 5 GMT (Got your Money Taken)!
So they can put a million combinations of watches together and still be called a "5"
Great review 💯
You don’t lose tons of time daily on a Seiko. Japanese brands always give incredibly conservative numbers for rated accuracy. It might say something like -20 to +40 per day but I have five Seiko and a timegrapher and they are almost always under +\-5 seconds per day.
Mine runs at about -8.5-10 spd which is acceptable for me. My orient runs way better at about -2 to -3 spd
Love love love ya, great humor and video. My wife has watched this real twice. Cheers
Oh bless you! It's a very cool watch! So it did all the heavy lifting in this video ;)
I've had the blueberry about a year or so. I haven't worn it much until just recently and am really beginning to enjoy it. Imo the bracelet is a step above the usual Seiko offerings and the half blue bezel looks great.
Your review made me buy one. And im loving it. Just hope it can handle the everyday abuses.🤞🏼
SHOULDNT HAVE BULLIED ME IN HIGHSCHOOL BETCH
in my house ..mark bowmans..that's every day lol
@@BrittPearceWatches getting Eddie Murphy on the balcony vibes in "Coming to America" 😂 Yes. YES! Eff you toooo!
I just recently bought the 2nd edition Seiko Brian May Red Special. It comes on a NATO strap. It is a bit thick. But it wears nice. If you want an even cheaper mechanical watch. Have a look at Orient. They're a sister brand of Seiko.
Ouuu I need to look into this now!
@@BrittPearceWatches let me know if you would more info.
Looks great Britt. Very tempting
Seiko is King
As the owner of the Seiko SKX007,SKX009 and SKX173 I bucked the trend and bought the Steinhart Ocean One vintage GMT .The quality is just way better on the Steinhart and a better movement.
I have one of these and absolutely love it especially for travel, Yes the quality isn’t quite as good as my Tag Carerra but still very decent for the money
Seiko 5 is my gateway into watch
I find that the placement of the winder, thickness of the case, and the "coin style " bezel can pretty much tell you it's a Seiko.
(Or a copy)
And the comparison to mac and cheese to be very cute.
“Sorry moon phase“
What a line 😂
The mug made my day 😂 The watch looks stunning 😍
Seiko has a huge heritage and I'd disagree with the nandos analogy. Just because it isn't Rolex or Patek doesn't mean it's middle of the road. Theres a reason they've been around and popular for nearly 150 years. Reliable, good looking workhorses. I believe every watch collector should have at least 1 Seiko in their collection. Change the bracelet and you're good to go for not a lot of money.
If you are here just to see Gringa and not the watch, clap your hands 👏
Long, hard, or flaccid…bracelets that is. You just convinced me that this might be my perfect travel watch.
Seiko & citizen been stepping it up lately
Your innuendos made me laugh. I'm in( to see and hear what's next). You had fun making your presentation and I was intertained. Subscribed.
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments
Excellent Stuff as usual Britt! Thanks for making my watch look so beautiful! :D
AHHH LUKE IS HERE!
Love this model on NATO strap love you so much WG. Love Seiko
Hi Britt....just discovered your site...love it...I am wondering how I got to do without you all these watches ago?!?! Keep them coming girl...good job
I picked up the Orange one…love it and when I head across the pond I won’t get pinned against the wall by a watch robber who thinks the black one is a Sub…that’s called win-win:)
BAHAHHA! Very well said! The orange one is so dang FUN! I love it. Do you follow hockey?! The orange one reminds me of my favourite team: the Philadelphia Flyers. Which only makes me want it more!
I do follow hockey…Habs fan…hate the Flyers 🤣 but for baseball I’m an O’s fan so perfect colors! You’re right Britt..fun watch…and great video…keep cranking them out!
I can't remember the last time I laughed so much with a UA-cam video presentation - great fun, just brilliant! (I've subscribed).
I like it, and I liked your video as usual ! Thx for sharing your opinion! :)
As usual, you outdid yourself Gringa, fantastic video!
It's a nice watch, affordable and reliable, I wish people could just be happy about that. Will any of us notice the lost seconds? Noooope
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments
Get a Rolex, spend an extra $5000 for a superior bracelet NOT ME! NANDOS!!!!!!!!!!! Visited the UK Last April and LOVE NANDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a fun tidbit: the '5' in 5 Sports is more than just a simple numeral-it represents the five core pillars of the entry-level 5 Sports collection: an automatic movement, a day-date display, adequate water resistance, a crown at four o'clock, and a case and bracelet built for durability
-google
WOOOOAH I DIDNT JNOW THIS! 😱😱 Google knows all. And I’m so glad you gave that a Google! So interesting!
@@BrittPearceWatches all while driving (just kidding toronto police man watching a hole being dug)
Except no date on The GMT and no screwdown crown and the bracelet is sub par..
Another fun tidbit expanding on this: there are Seiko 5 quartz out there! (and no, I'm not talking about mumbai specials or knock-offs)
Great video. You always crack me up! Where can you get the nato you featured from as I thought it looked good with this watch?
San Martin SN015 GMT has entered the chat LOL. Higher specs, and around $100 + dollars less in cost. It has a 4hz (ETA clone) movement, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, 200M water resistance, better overall finish of case and jubilee bracelet (with screws not pins), bi-direction bezel with click, anti reflective coating, super bright lume on dial AND bezel... I feel like there is more, but you get the idea.
I own a lot of higher end watches. I got this watch I love it🤣like jack from hoddinkers says nothing beats the rush or serotonin when that little seiko 5 box shows up at ur door.
LOL ooooh it's sooo true! That's the fun part of watch collecting - there's a watch for all occasions!
@@BrittPearceWatches when that boi hit out for delivery i was so hype 🤣 keep up the good work britty p get one for when you don’t want to wear a nice watch to beat around or to no be a statistic you feel?
Seiko is THE BEST BRAND of watches out there!
Seiko is where it's at.
I own a Seiko king Samurai and I am not super impressed. Misaligned bezel that is too stiff to turn although the action is good. I will probably sell it... I might consider the GMT if the price drops a little. I am also a Canadian and it is a little expensive here... Great video. Your channel is really looking professional now...
I didn't think you were being snobby; just funny and irreverent. I'm interested in checking out the Seiko 5 GMT and I was happy to see you do a video on them. I'm also interested in seeing what other watches come out with that 4R34 movement. It's got to be better than the Mingzhu DG5833. While I have no practical use for a GMT, I think it's a cool feature. Thanks again for another great video.
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments
Oh my god Britt… 1- you actually made me almost want a normal Seiko and 2- the script was awesome 😂👏👏👏
Bahaha oh BLESS YOU! Thank you so much! You know, this has been the first ever Seiko I've kinda wanted! :O
@@BrittPearceWatches screams holiday watch. Sand, sun cream, in out the sea and pool. GMT for convenience and actually not bad to look at 🤷♂️
I have the SSK005 (the orange one) and I am really enjoying it. it has also gotten me a few compliments and I like the way it looks. It's a lot of bang for your buck.
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments.
I actually like this bracelet. It's the only one I kept in my whole watch collection.
Me too. I reckon the jubilee style bracelet really matches the case.
Yea, me too. After watching this video I got out my great old SKX007 on jubilee and started wearing it again.
Great content, thank you Britt 🖐
the black dial one is THE BEST!!!...among all three
RIGHT?! I actually regret not including that there are 2 other colours! I kinda, weirdly love the orange as well!
You sound great! Snobby or not snobby. Favorite line was "this script is shit". Enjoying your posts. Seiko is awesome. That GMT is sweet looking. But now I have to see the bezel in person to see this color you speak of. Cheers.
Nice and fun review, greetings from México
Loving my orange dial Seiko 5 GMT 🍊
Britt - what nato did it use ? What’s a good nato. One that I can wear in the apocalypse. Thank you for featuring and loving a seiko btw. Hope you and papi are well.
Hi Nicole, very well thank you 🙏🏼 I think (but I’m not sure) it came with the watch. It’s single pass, so doesn’t add too much height 👌🏽
Beautiful watch and great value from Seiko.
Great video, thanks 😊
The bezel works with the GMT hand as your second time zone, day / night.
I trust that she doesn’t mean it, but she does sound snobby. Seikos are a great entrypoint into the world of watches with a great variety of timepieces at amazing price points, nothing wrong at all with expecting amazing work from them.
I'm not sure if I love more the review or the jokes done with your accent. Congrats from Sunny Portugal for the wonderful channel and review.
Wow! That’s a really nice watch! Especially on that nato strap, great review, thank you
Hi! Tell Expert Rockwell that you were referred for the right strategy on New Terra/UST, or to participate in other exciting projects. Thank you for the comments.
I’d argue, you get more than what you pay for. The folks trashing Seiko bc micro brands “do it better for less” aren’t taking R&D into account. Without Seiko(or citizen etc), there is no micro brand alternative. I’ve got a Rolex in my collection that I’m in love with, but I adore my Seiko and Hamiltons. Great watches with so much character 🫶.
