well, to strand someone is to leave them in a place without an escape. so "death stranding" is like saying you can't escape death...or perhaps there isn't a concept of death because it's been stranded somehow. kojima has said that death doesn't automatically mean game over in this game so....

a death stranding is an actual term for when ocean wildlife gets beached and found dead.
a live stranding is when most of them are found alive and are able to be put back into the ocean

Troll or doesn't fully understand the medium of video games. Yes, games are meant to be played but can be of various genres (like movies) and enjoyed by many. Kojima games are more of a statement, an emotional ride. This said, I don't like every single one of his games but I also don't like western music and MTV type movies. Doesn't mean they ain't good, just not my cup of tea and I don't connect with the art/artist. Kojima changed / impacted video games with MGS and I think he's doing it again with this game. Opening a door to what games can be, what they could become. Side note, I hope this game has VR support, looks gorgeous.
