The Carolina Panthers were undefeated until "The Dirty Birds" Atlanta Falcons ended the Panthers perfect season. The Panthers finished the 2015 with the NFL's best record in history with a 15-1 record and to join the 1984 San Francisco 49ers, 1985 Chicago Bears, 1998 Minnesota Vikings, 2007 New England Patriots, and the 2011 Green Bay Packers!!! But unfortunately the Panthers lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. I hate it when the penalty flags come and flying!
They lost the super bowl because when Cam fumbled the snap he went to dive for it and sensed someone also diving for it and he snapped back.... Like a coward. You lost that fumble QB or not you get your ass under that pile and retrieve that fumble that you lost...
I remember going shopping before half time because I felt I knew how this game was going to go then I got back right around when Odell hit Josh helmet to helmet thinking damn this is intense. I didn't want neither one to be ejected I was freaking loving it, I felt the fuel. And I'm a Washington fan but I was rooting for the Giants mainly because when we played the Panthers they embarrassed the shit out us and all the dabbing was pissing me off (there I said it 🤷♂️). Then the Giants made that crazy comeback 🤯 One of the top games of 2015.

I swear, it seems like almost every game for the Panthers in 2015 had the same script... start the game off in dominant fashion and get out to a huge lead, then "take the foot off the gas" and let the other team ALMOST make a comeback, but do just barely enough at the end of the game to keep them from completing the comeback. I wonder what the scoring was by quarter for the Panthers that year, willing to bet there were tons and tons of first half points, and not nearly as many second half points.

Then by the mid 3rd quarter they'd start playing soft coverages on defense mixed with a little exhaustion. Then the mid to end of the 4th quarter they either do enough to get into field goal range or drive the field with less then 2 minutes (often more like 1 minute to seconds) right at the very end of regulation to win to go 13-3 on the year. It's like a broken record. The win happened because they were already ahead but or either with a drive on the field to get into field goal range.. lol
