My Uncle was murdered on December 5th 2007, he was such a huge Giants fan that we buried him with his Eli Jersey in his casket. I'll always remember my Grandmother saying a few days later that she felt the Giants were gonna make it to the super bowl and win because they had an angel with them. I'm not a Giants fan (SKOL Vikings!) But on this night it was one of the greatest sports moments in my life and I'll always be thankful to this team for the joy they brought my family during our hard time.
I feel u , my whole family is a huge giants fan but my uncle has sadly passed away a few years ago. After the funeral on that day they won the Super Bowl 46. Before he died he said he would like to see the giants win the Super Bowl. Ever since I feel God made the Giants win for us😭
We are the best 3-7 team in NFL history, and we are going to the 2020 season Playoffs as the #4 seed. Maybe we'll wil one game, maybe we'll win a superbowl.
Big Giants fan. I remember I was working that day and kept running to the breakroom to check the score. I absolutely lost it when they won. One of my greatest memories
I bet. I would be dying inside if I had to work if the bills were in the Superbowl. Was happy nyg won those two vs the pats. This game had a theatrical ending as well. Love those crazy endings in a Superbowl.
It'll be a sad day in NY when it isn't Eli under center for the G Men anymore 😭 with all these fair weather fans, we were never worthy of the Eli legacy
The number 17 is responsible for strength, insight, wisdom, compassion, etc. The lesson is to never be too cocky or arrogant in your own existence. If you do you could fall flat on your face.
No matter how many times I watch this, I get the chills. No matter what team you like, I think everybody can agree that this may be one of the greatest games in NFL history.
@@assassinbrcp6206 One of the most memorable for sure. Probably the one I'll remember for a long time. All the build-up, all the focus on the Patriots trying to complete the 'perfect' 19-0 season, the Giants being huge underdogs although I had a feeling they could at least make things interesting perhaps and not get run over like some 'experts' were predicting. It was a low-scoring defensive struggle but they saved the best for last. The back-n'-forth momentum in the 4th quarter, the Patriots almost looking like they HAD completed the season of perfection, but then the miraculous catch by Tyree that kept their final drive intact, & then the Giants' D making the final stop to complete the upset. To this DAY I still get goosebumps watching these replays again.
i remember i was at a friends house and we got Dominos delivery, and my friend wanted to try the lemon-pepper wings and I knew they were gonna be ass.. so yeah; thats burned into my memory - great game, terrible wings
Let me add a time stamp to NFL's description because it's an EXTREMELY important play that nobody mentions. 2:01:49 Manning to Steve Smith to convert on 3rd and 11
YES! A HUGE PLAY on that last drive, i don't think it gets as much credit as it should, then again how can you top that catch by Tyree? lol. but i agree, it was a huge 3rd down conversion by Steve Smith. Shame he didnt turn out to be as good as i thought he would for the Giants after a couple seasons after this game, went to Philly and of course, going there you're bound to turn to complete UTTER TRASH! LMFAO !
MrBaddog7676 Actually, not as what you might think. Although that was a big 3rd down to convert, giants were in a situation in which many people call "4 down territory" which means you have 4 downs because you have to go for the score. That's why 3rd downs lose there importance on game winning drive where you have to score.
yeah but do you really want to see Eli and the Giants have to convert on a 4th and 11 against that Patriots defense? It becomes one single long shot play for all the marbles. We know the 3rd and 11 wasn't do or die, it was just closing in on do-or-die. 3rd and 11 is still tough. Plus, the Giants had no timeouts by then, so the fact that Smith got the 1st down and then got out of bounds, ASAP is huge. If he catches it inbounds, the Giants have to race to the line to stop the clock or run a play and lose precious seconds/downs.
Rodney Harrison said he knew the DC made the wrong matchup with a 5'11" cornerback Ellis Hobbs on Plaxico for the game winning TD drive but couldnt change it in time.
@Black Hole yeah they were, have u seen the comment Brady made at media day? Plaxico made a prediction of Giants 23-17. When Brady was asked about it, he laughed and said," we're only gonna score 17 points, Ok" (laughs some more). At least as it pertains to Brady's comments pre-game humble pie was served. Not only did they lose, but he didn't even get to 17 points, he only got 14. Plus, I'm sure any team that has gone undefeated for that long can only be humble for so long before arrogance kicks in.
@Black Hole yeah I was 5 when this game happened, but I had already heard about the comment Brady made in some 2007 giants documentary, but yeah this game did change them mentally for the better. No level of arrogance was going to be allowed again in their team.
@Black Hole it's all good. Thx to u as well.I think even the Brady clip is up on UA-cam somewhere, not sure tho. And yeah there are ton of crazy users on the web. I'm not one of those, topics like these or most on UA-cam don't need crazy, insane, angry responses, just discussions that can be handled appropriately easily.
@Black Hole but the Pat fan certainly are..the fans are why people hate the Pats..you guys are cocky, arrogant and act like no one is suppose to beat you
Honestly this is probably one of the best defensive showing in a game in nfl history by the giants. Holding arguably the greatest offense of all time and undefeated team to just 14 points on the biggest game is truly amazing.
@@literallyshaking8019 well clearly nobody could stop the Patriots offense that year because 2 people set touchdown season records (Brady Passing and Moss Receiving) so for the Giants to hold them to only 2 tds is amazing, especially since they gave up like 30 something points in their week 17 game vs the Patriots that same season. Steve Spagnolo came out with an amazing gameplan and clearly it worked.
The Pats got Gronk and really developed all those screens and short passes in response to this game. It's crazy to see the Pats struggle to come up with something after years of getting used to seeing them just chip away at defenses.
It was a terrible decision for Eli to throw that duck just up for grabs after somehow escaping that sack. Just an incredible play by Tyree with Harrison all over him.
Mets - Jets - Knicks - Nets I think he’s saying respect that the Giants organization chose to wear them (since the Pats didn’t and he was a rival player so they completely *chose* to wear it)
FuckingHateTwilight the main reason why I don’t hate the patriots is because i really respect Tom Brady I’ve watched him on tv since drew bledsoe got hurt and he got on the field and I was like who the hell is tom Brady.
Still remember watching this in my living room with my dad back when I was 7, as he shouted “18-1!” Over and over. Brings tears to my eyes. Greatest upset in sports history!! Thank you for the memories Eli!
Yes. I don't really care what the fans say but I don't want crybaby Brady, mister touch equals a personal foul to have the satisfaction of a perfect year. It makes it even better they beat them twice in SB, too bad Seahawks didn't run and atl shouldn't have collapsed. Tom Brady isn't the goat, he's good but the luckiest player of all time
@@hjikyg what stats are you talking about? Avg starting field position? Def ranking? Special team ranking? Home field for tough match ups? You obviously haven't seen his playoff stats, great qbs get better in playoffs, Brady declines. Plus Montana isn't a good comparison as the league has changed to become passing friendly compared to when he played
I remember that Super Bowl. I was 10 years old at the time. My mother is a Giants fan. We watched it downstairs at our house in Latham, NY. I was cheering for her the whole time, but after watching that anticipated game, that was definitely the day I became the Giants fan. Never forget you great memories. 🏈
I was 18, but I was also watching with my Mom, we were both Giants fans from Long Island, it's one of the greatest nights of my life. We cooked special food like pigs in blankets and home made pizza. It was a special night
A lot of Patriots fans boast 18-1 is a great season. However, there's one thing they forgot. Two other teams went 18-1 before the 2007 New England Patriots in the 1984 San Francisco 49ers and the 1985 Chicago Bears. Difference is, those two Super Bowl teams won their Super Bowls to go along with their 18-1 season while the 2007 Pats came up short.
What are you taljing about? I have never seen any Patriots fan talk about this season with pride. Every Patriots fan hated this season and typically refuses to even discuss it, let alone boast about it.
@@ThorHC11 it means nothing to me as a pats fan really you lost the biggest game of the year. 16-0 is an accomplishment but 12-4 plus a SB is way better
Peyton's response to Eli's throw to Plax will never get old. Like Troy said, he seemed even more excited for his little brother than when he won his first Super Bowl
People saying skip to 4th quarter, Why? I saw a beast defense after that first allowed TD by Pats. 4 quarters of pure hell unleashed to who some consider the best offense of all time. Giants brought there A game that day, when it all mattered.
Veron Budhia can't be the best offense ever when only 1 lineman was a pro bowler. Brady was godly that year but Maroney, Kyle Brady, Steve Neal, Nick Kaczur, and Dan Koppen were all subpar players starting on that team.
The o-line having a bunch of pro bowlers doesnt determine whether or not the team is great offensively. They had Brady,Moss and Welker and set all kinds of offensive records that year. The Pats were arguably the greatest offensive team ever and the Giants defeated them. Giants get all the props!!
You Pats fans should know from experience that nothing matters if you can't win the last game of the year. Like the Rams' Adam Timmerman said after their upset in Super Bowl 36, "doesn't matter what we did earlier, our entire season was a waste."
I'm here! What a day, what a game! God Bless Eli Manning! Once a Giants... Always a Giant... ONLY a Giant! We may never see another like him. Hope Daniel Jones can get us at least one...
Watching it again in 2022, I can't believe how many helmet-to-helmet there were in this game and back then in general. Receivers definitely took a beating and it was just part of the game.
Talk about a team that had tons of grit. The 07 Giants are easily one of the grittiest teams to ever win a Super Bowl. Just the path to here for them was epic: They got into the playoffs via the Wild Card because of their 10-6 record, they had to play the Bucs in Tampa for the WC, then they had to face the Cowboys in Dallas in the divisional round to advance, then they had to play the Packers in Green Bay for the NFC Championship game, in what turned into the second coldest NFL game in history (the 1967 ‘Ice Bowl’ was colder) that went into overtime, mind you! And they still weren’t done. Then they had to face that juggernaut 18-0 Patriots team in the Super Bowl. And they beat them! This game alone is why Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, and David Tyree should be a lock for the Hall Of Fame.
Well said. The Giants didn't give up. I also remember how the media kept bashing the Giants throughout the season. The G-Men shut the national media up real good.
My man this was a good Súper bowl but as far as the best not even close. This is may be top 15 on the list. I can name a few better Súper bowls better than this one. Giants & the Bills, Seattle & Patriots and Steelers & cowboys 1979
Same. For the longest time I always thought he said “Burress, Alive!” And not alone, I always thought that sounded cooler, but either way such a great call.
This was my favorite Super Bowl of all time. The whole post season run was awesome for the Giants. The guys at work laughed at me for picking the Giants to win. What a sweet victory that was! LOL
One of the best, if not the greatest Superbowl in NFL history. Partly due to the pats perfect record on the line. This was truly a David vs Goliath game.
@@jdm2389 it was the Falcons vs the Patriots, what did anyone expect? And it was a game ruled by domination, not a game of attrition like this one. And attrition games are way better.
It wasn't all that surprising for those paying attention. The Giants lost to the Pats at the end of the regular season 38-35 and arguably played better than the Patriots that game.
What the Giants did should be talked about for DECADES of football. True Underdogs. Eli Manning should be in the HOF just for these super bowl performances. Incredible.
eli manning is almost guaranteed to be in the hof he’s just not eligible yet because he hasn’t been retired long enough. he may not get first ballot but he’ll definitely get there
@@yevettebamber4273 the last decade has been hell, but this super bowl will always be able to satiate all the BULLSHIT OF THIS ERA...hope Joe Schoen and Brian daboll are good
The greatest QB sack escape and the greatest catch in Super Bowl history and the greatest underdog game in history. Yet people question whether or no Eli should be in the Hall of Fame
I would question it too if Eli wasn't a 2 time Super Bowl winning MVP (against Brady of all people) and holds multiple top 10 statistic records as a QB. He has to be in the HoF
People can question whether Eli should be in the HoF, but that without doubt was the greatest ever play in NFL history. From start to finish it was filled with incredible effort leading to miraculous results. How can they talk about the greatest play if the QB isn't in the Hall? I mean, that's the most famous play as well, so Hall of FAME? Seems obvious.
@@karma99It would make the play a hall of fame moment, but does not necessarily mean a player participating in the play will be in the hall of fame (eventually)

The greatest Super Bowl of ALL TIME! Also the first ever Super Bowl I’ve ever watched, and I’m a Cowboys fan saying this. I despise the Giants but this was amazing!
@Devin Curtis there was nothing really incredible or awe inspiring about that Super Bowl, Super Bowl 42 on the other hand had so many incredible moments that basically seemed impossible.
The BEST Superbowl Ever! Aired on my birthday and my high school classmate #JayAlford made the best play to bring Brady down ! Big Blue for life! #NYGIANTS 💙💙💙💙💙💙
1:57:49 almost 13 years later and this is still the Superbowl's play for me. The escape from Eli and that catch from David is something I still remember with glory even after all this years. Go Giants! 🍺❤️
Yup and idiot pats fans think the falcons up 28-3 is the biggest choke in nfl history, no this is the biggest choke ever pats fans, 18 straight wins and 1 giant loss against a wild card team, but fans will say its fixed if thats case in themibd of pats fans then superbowl 49 and superbowl 51 and 53 are fixed. Biased idiot pats fan rhetoric bs.
@@magicbus63, Lmao! He said this game was the biggest choke ever in superbowl history, and you bring up what the quarterbacks have done after the fact? 🤣🤣🤣 salty much? The point was that an undefeated team who was 18-0, lost to a (wild card) team that barely made the playoffs!
Props to Plaxico Burress. Caught the game-winning TD and the first thing he said was "Credit our defense, those guys played great". Then got so emotional he almost dropped the F-bomb on live TV, caught himself, then just got lost in the moment.
Brady laughed off plaxico guarantee of the score 23-17 and said plaxico only thinks were gonna score 17. But actually plaxico gave them more credit than they deserved. They only scored 14. Lol.
I'll never forget this game. The Patriots had an unbelievably successful season, here came the Giants barely squeaking into the playoffs. This was supposed to be a storied win to cap off an undefeated season for the Patriots. I'll never forget that helmet catch and how the Giants completed an unthinkable upset. It's the greatest Super Bowl I've seen with my own two eyes.
@joesakic91 : I can never forget that SB either ... I feel the NYG team were the more 'polished' team in terms of play execution in that game. The earlier SB though still remains my favorite because our NYG were clearly the under-dogs and we ..... *stomped them out* :)
Nothing Odell has caught has measured up to the Tyree Catch in that moment. Plus it was Tyree's LAST catch as an NFL Player. Sure Odell has made some unbelievable catches, but none of them currently will EVER top Tyree because it was the SB on the Final Scoring Drive with about a minute left against a Undefeated 18-0 Team.
Here on the day Eli announces his retirement to remember this wonderful man. He is an amazing man on and off the field and the epitome of class. I have been his biggest fan and supporter, and am thankful for the effort this man has put into becoming the best QB I could ask for this franchise. HOF bound for sure, enjoy your retirement Eli. Us Giants fans love and honor you.
This is art. Watching Eli in his prime, in games like this, you know he belongs in the HOF. He threads the needle like no other. And wow, what a standout performances by Tyree, Smith, Bradshaw, Boss, etc. Loved this team..
@@LostInTransition7 Eli himself said during their America's Game special that he didn't really *know* whether that was Tyree or not, he just saw a white jersey and that he felt that taking his chances throwing it to that receiver gave them a better shot at that moment rather than just throwing the ball away.
I never noticed what a sore loser Beleycheck was at the end. 1 second left coach. Nope I've seen enough and I'm heading up the tunnel. Low class Bill. Disrespect the game and the moment.
I never appreciated the complete and utter humiliation the Patriots went through until tonight. The fact the the NFL made them put players on the field for a final play might be the greatest moment in sports history. The refs could have let that second go, but I think they too wanted one final kick to the collective nus of Patriot nation everywhere. Brilliant!
@@brucemorton7787 Although everything may have played out differently if coaches saw a different time on the clock in real time, in theory, it didn't really effect the game. There essentially was just an additional 6-7 seconds on the clock that should not have been, all stemming from the play ran at 1:28 when Carey made the ready for play signal and the clock didn't start. They were never able to get back where the needed to be after that. However, all it really caused was the Giants having to come back on the field to take their final knee because the clock still showed two seconds
This is the game where the Patriots put the Miami Dolphins undefeated talk to rest. After this game majority of those Dolphins stopped celebrating including Coach Shula, that they were the only undefeated team. Just a couple still celebrate, those few just can’t face the truth. The Patriots went on still to reach the point of 18-0 passing the Dolphins 17-0. The Patriots had to play 2 more games than the Dolphins did and still passed them. The Patriots are now the only NFL team to reach a 18-0 record. Pats lost the Super Bowl but it took a miracle catch to finally beat them and for Patriot Nation that’s fine. That it took a miracle to beat them. “ it is what it is” The Patriots would go one to 6 more Super Bowls and winning 3 of them. Cementing the NFLs only 20yr DYNASTY. Most dynasty’s during the SB ERA last just about 5yrs. The Patriots from 2001 to 2019 went to 9 Super Bowls and winning 6 of them. The averages going to a SB every other year.
“Spencer West” man stop with the excuses the Patriots didn’t self destruct they got outplayed by the eagles because the eagles were the better team and they were better team all year in 2017 this is why people can’t stand the Pats because fans like you who don’t know how to give credit when credit is due your a clown !
Semion Johnson Eagles deserved to win. But the Pats we’re starting to show internal problems with Brady and Bill. Am I wrong? If Pats were focused they woulda won no offense to Philly
Fun fact: This was the final use of the old NFL logo before they switched to the 8 star design. I know nobody cares. I just felt like putting it out there.
It's kind of amazing, because Eli didn't have a particularly great last drive. A ton of missed opportunities by the Patriots defense for a turnover. But somehow Eli managed to pull it together. Probably the most incredible finish (considering the historic proportions of the Patriots season) to any sporting event ever. And without a doubt, the greatest underdog victory ever.
I just watched it and the whole time I was thinking he played actually pretty awful , he caught so many breaks. Gods must’ve been with him because it was a sloppy drive where he was just lobbing dudes left and right .
How good of Joe Buck to narrate the game-winning drive and arguably one of the most dramatic catches in NFL history as if he were being held at gunpoint.
This Super Bowl was absolutely amazing. This is what you call a defensive struggle. Not Super Bowl 53 between the Rams and Patriots where both teams ran the same plays all game expecting a different result. This was pure defense where both teams took risks and tried different plays, but defenses played absolutely amazing.
The Pats defense failed to gather 6 of the 7 potential turnovers Eli and the NYG provided...Hobbs Asante Rodney and Meriweather all dropped at least 1 int, Seau may have dropped one other as well if memory serves, and Pats backup OLB 58 P.Woods somehow failed to come out of the pile with the ball hed fallen upon after Eli fumbled it right to him...The NYG officially had 2 fumbles in that game neither of which the Pats recovered...The Pats werent able to handle them on either LOS...The NYG RBs combined for rush 87yds-which may not be an outstanding total but the Pats had less than half that total-Maroney gave them almost nothing on the ground except that 1 TD. The Pats offensive line provided the worst performance collectively of the season and in several cases individuals among them provided the worst performances of their careers. Mankins arguably their best OL during that era is 1st & foremost on that list, he was playing injured...Nick Kazcur was likewise playing thru pain but was also likely going thru a painkiller addiction withdrawal process after having been arrested a few weeks beforehand with thousands of pills then snitching out his suppliers in order to avoid jailtime...M.Light and Koppen also didnt have their best day...During SB42 the player who had been the Pats best LB for the majority of that season was playing with 1fully functional arm. Brady spent the weeks leading up to that game in a walking boot...Moss meanwhile got into a domestic with his sidesqueeze in Florida during the bye week before the Pats postseason began and for one reason or another contributed less statistically during that postseason than seemingly every WR or passing recipient in general did on the team. Stallworth directly contributed more significantly to the Pats win over the Jags in the div rd than Randy did in any of those 3games. The Pats were very worn down by the time that game began...They had lost vital components of their team to injury and players on each side of the ball were running on fumes physically and esp emotionally after having had to bite their tongue all season long while the media opponents and fans continually/ceaselessly slandered them for something they had no guilt/culpability for in any way...In order to keep them motivated every time they won a game that season Bill spent more time during their ensuing film sessions focusing on their mistakes/what they did wrong than their positive achievements, force feeding them humble pie on a daily basis to combat the hype ESPN was pushing out about how talented, unstoppable they were...As that hype continually built up opponents began playing them with a different level of intensity treating it as their own individual defacto SB the Ravens are a perfect example of one of those teams...they didnt have many blowouts during the 2nd half of that season as a result of that and costly injuries were delivered to their starting OLBs as a result of opponents increased desperation as well. Their OLB trio throughout the 1st half of the Pats season was the unsung hero and arguably even the strength of that defense. With Colvins broken foot and Vrabels busted shoulder they were reduced and that left to large a burden on Bruschi and Seau at ILB both of whom were significantly past their primes by that point in their careers, as was Rodney Harrison, and Hobbs was more or less a liability esp against P.Burress. Must have been an awful experience to go thru as a player...Speaking as a fan I can assure you nothing has or ever will be a worse, more devastating and undeserved, journey to experience unless my entire team perishes in a plane crash or something someday...Whether they turned on their tv at home or listened to their coach at work they were hearing nothing but negativity...no matter where they turned the only source of positivity was the media hype theyd been trained to dismiss as something thats unproven and counterproductive towards their ultimate goal, and just as the season approached its conclusion and they thought theyd earned resppect again, that spygate was finally shifting into their rear view mirror Arlen Specter injected himself into the fray and shifted focus back onto the ramifications of a rule violation they themselves werent guilty of in any way...At that point, especially once the Matt Walsh Rams walkthru story broke, they musta known that if they finished 19-0 half if not 2/3 of the country was going to assume/insist that they musta cheated again anyways-as a fan of that team at that point it became very difficult not to develop a minor if not acute sense of paranoia tbh. In 2006 the Phins shut the Pats out-Bradys 2nd and last shutout for the next15yrs, after receiving a spytape which tipped them off to various things the Pats did which members of the Phins spent the following 2days on tv news articles and radio bragging about having known everything the Pats were about to do before NE did it based upon tips from a tape the Dolphins org had mysteriously received in the mail the week before facing NE. Clearly the Pats were far from the only team using cameras to clue in, nor was it even entirely/fully illegal, yet the league and medias narratives seek to insist that they were...Losing after reaching the brink of perfection would have been far too devastating even without spygate...Moss was so devastated he doesnt even remember the 24hours following that loss has a vague/blurry recollection of getting showered and changed nothing else, shock of it essentially made his brain block out that emotional turmoil...Brady has indicated he may have retired that ensuing offseason had NE won that final game and that he almost certainly wouldnt be playing anymore if they had either way...He could win 2more SBs b4 retiring and still wont be satisfied with his career when he does because of that single loss. As a student of the league its history its economics its various structural and financial dynamics I am certain that the reason the Pats were singled out like that is because their upparalleled dominance over the league was threatening to begin cutting off what fuels the leagues bottom line-Parity...Same exact reason deflategate happened...Brady was overshadowing if not destroying the marketability of multiple generations of QBs. The number of fans the league would have lost over the last 6yrs if they didnt have deflategate to point to as an excuse for Toms/NEs success would likely have served to provide the largest financial loss/setback in league history, perhaps even with the pandemic losses included...Millions of fans would have turned off their TVs and closed their wallets multiple generations of young potential fans would have turned their attention elsewhere as well...Be tough for Fox or CBS to charge sponsors as much for SB commercials if 30% of fans refuse to watch because theyre tired of if not bitter over seeing the same QB/team in that final game every other yr especially while their fav QB/team seems lucky to host a conf championship once or twice every 15yrs during that same timespan.
Arguably one of the greatest defensive performances ever against one of the best offenses the NFL has ever produced, hell of a game by that defense, wow

Bradys career is truly indescribable. The sequence of events that had to take place for him to lose this might rival lottery odds. The barely first down on 4th by Jacobs, the missed interceptin by Samuel. The near sack of Eli a couple times on the Tyree catch then the Tyree catch itself, then the 3rd and 11 to smith, then the TD by Plaxico, then stopping Brady. Almost a decade later, Brady made this Giants sequence of events look probable compared to the 28-3 comeback against Atlanta in which literally like fifteen 50/50 plays in a row had to fall the Pats way for them to win. Its like Brady loses sb he is supposed to win and wins the ones he is suposed to lose. What a career
How about the sequence of events that put him in a position to win??? Giants driving for another score in the first half, Eli throws a pass right to Smith, it bounces off his hands and winds up in Harrisons hands?? Took a minimum of 3 points off the board for the Giants. Then after the Giant D stops the Pats with Giants leading 10-7 Eli has Plaxico wide open with not a Pat within 10 yards and overthrows him? Took time and a first down off the board and maybe another score? Finally Giants force a punt, then stupidly don't get all their players off the field and resulting penalty gives the ball back to the Pats? Both teams got breaks that day, Pat fans just want everyone to focus on the ones that went Giants way. Giants completely outplayed the Pats that day, that's why they won.
@@TWS-pd5dc I mean, its the same as how we came back down 28-3, thinks went against us as well to cause us to be down 28-3, thats the point, we focus on the winning team moment, because teams don't get fortunate chances for things to lean towards their way especially down to the final minutes to make comebacks and win or lose barely, thats the point, its same like all our other super bowls, you can say we outplayed them, but I see them as fortunate circumstances in the final drives

LMFAO !
HalloweenNight78 LMAO about Philly! But yeah, I loved Steve Smith. Dude was really good before he tore his knee up
#5xSBchamps! #AmericasTeam! #WeDemBoyz! I think Steve Smith turned out ok for the most part

Not only did they lose, but he didn't even get to 17 points, he only got 14. Plus, I'm sure any team that has gone undefeated for that long can only be humble for so long before arrogance kicks in.

Their defense carried them that entire season.
Veron Budhia can't be the best offense ever when only 1 lineman was a pro bowler. Brady was godly that year but Maroney, Kyle Brady, Steve Neal, Nick Kaczur, and Dan Koppen were all subpar players starting on that team.
also brady had many opportunities to hit open receivers all game, but he couldnt make the throws he's used to because he was worried of the pressure.
The o-line having a bunch of pro bowlers doesnt determine whether or not the team is great offensively. They had Brady,Moss and Welker and set all kinds of offensive records that year. The Pats were arguably the greatest offensive team ever and the Giants defeated them. Giants get all the props!!

New York's offensive line doesn't get enough credit for this game. They played like a brick wall the entire way through, absolutely amazing
This will always be my favorite game in NFL history.
Just an unreal experience to see this happen.
Ah. The good ole days when the Giants had an above average offensive line that could run the ball and control the clock. What a fall off..
Great leadership from Bill! Leaving your team on the field to feel the humiliation with 1 second left, while you run to the locker room and hide.
I mean he congratulated coughlin and left like he was suppose too
Bro he alrdy congratulated him, he ain’t gonna do it again
The day when the New York Giants saved the Miami Dolphins
Don Shula must have enjoyed this finish , more than anyone.

Imagine if the patriots won this game against the giants smh I guess it wasn’t meant to happen
The Patriots are the nfl dynasty of the last two decades and so this win by the NY Giants makes it even more special.
+giner Don't forget 2011 in Super Bowl 46. That was also a special SB title for Big Blue.
@joesakic91 : I can never forget that SB either ... I feel the NYG team were the more 'polished' team in terms of play execution in that game. The earlier SB though still remains my favorite because our NYG were clearly the under-dogs and we ..... *stomped them out* :)
Ah, this brings me back. This was when i first got into football, and this Season Cemented the Giants as my favorite team
1:30:29 - "David Tyree just made the biggest catch of his life." Little did they know...
#13 Odell Beckham Jr
Nothing Odell has caught has measured up to the Tyree Catch in that moment.
Plus it was Tyree's LAST catch as an NFL Player.
Sure Odell has made some unbelievable catches, but none of them currently will EVER top Tyree because it was the SB on the Final Scoring Drive with about a minute left against a Undefeated 18-0 Team.
@@GRIMLOCK07 oh yea one catch to define a Superbowl how David Tyree was immortalized in one moment where the Giants stopped the 18-0 Patriots
@A A They didn't know that Tyree would have another amazing catch

I saw this live this is the best NFL game ever... Talking about this in High school for years Giants saved us all from a perfect season.
YES
This is art. Watching Eli in his prime, in games like this, you know he belongs in the HOF. He threads the needle like no other. And wow, what a standout performances by Tyree, Smith, Bradshaw, Boss, etc. Loved this team..
Needled the throw? He legit stumbled out of a sack and just heaved it up lol. That was all Tyree making an unbelievable catch.
@@DontDrinkthatstuff nah he passed it to him obviously… wasn’t just thrown randomly….
@@LostInTransition7 Eli himself said during their America's Game special that he didn't really *know* whether that was Tyree or not, he just saw a white jersey and that he felt that taking his chances throwing it to that receiver gave them a better shot at that moment rather than just throwing the ball away.
The helmet catch
Where desperation met determination
This is the greatest NFL ! Cinderella story I’ve ever watched in my life!!
And the Dolphins' perfect season was saved. :)
The patriots that year were still better than those overrated dolphins
Technicaly pats did break the record because the dolphins went 16-0 when nfl had 14 games in the regular season
Pats Fan I'm talking about the perfect season not total wins, dummy.
Why does it matter? It's not like the 1972 Dolphins were playing in this game lol
+Thomas McCarthy iam just saying it doesnt matter anymore because the dolphins played when 14 games were in the regular season
Who’s here after Jones was announced as starting QB
Me... please stop the Patriots again!!!
Yup. Thx, Eli.
I have watched this vid so many times
Dude, the G-Men need an O-line.
I never noticed what a sore loser Beleycheck was at the end. 1 second left coach. Nope I've seen enough and I'm heading up the tunnel. Low class Bill. Disrespect the game and the moment.
Love watching Harrison act hard the whole game and then give up arguably the best catch in Super Bowl history
he was a monster though
He also horse collared Tyree on the play.
Brilliant!
so many things went the Giants way, especially on the last Giants drive.
The clock was completely botched in the final 2 minutes of the game
@@speranzayaya no kidding.... glad I'm not the only one to catch that...
“ it is what it is”
The Patriots would go one to 6 more Super Bowls and winning 3 of them.
Cementing the NFLs only 20yr DYNASTY.
Most dynasty’s during the SB ERA last just about 5yrs. The Patriots from 2001 to 2019 went to 9 Super Bowls and winning 6 of them.
The averages going to a SB every other year.
As a huge dolphins fan we love you in Miami, giants. We still hold our record of a perfect season with a super bowl win thanks to you guys.
Pats: LOL HAWKS DIDN'T RUN THE BALL
Pats: LOL FALCONS WERE 25 POINTS AHEAD
Giants: LOL 18-1
Exactly. Giants said hold MY beer.
That one hurts the most. Atleast when the Eagles won it was because of the Patriots self destructing that season
Semion Johnson Come on now everybody knows Belichick blew the SB on purpose. He still can’t say why he benched Malcom Butler.
No matter how many great super bowls there have been recently, this is the greatest super bowl of all time
Not only the greatest Superbowl, arguably the greatest game ever
Arguably greatest upset. Arguably greatest team. Arguably greatest drive. Arguably greatest play
Arguably the greatest defensive performance in a big game, considering the competition.
I never get tired of watching this game. Best ever!
Summing up the 2007 Pats..."18 Wins and 1 Giant loss"...
It was poetic.

Mr. Mcpoo nah the first revolution helmet was used in SB 36
That slant and go fade ran by plaxico is a legendary route . Had him stuck like glue , Super Bowl on the line
How good of Joe Buck to narrate the game-winning drive and arguably one of the most dramatic catches in NFL history as if he were being held at gunpoint.
He probably had money on the Pats. Lol
Marv Albert's radio call put this one to shame.
His emotion is ass on every play. Though his detailed wording is hilariously dry.

"Manning......gets away......caught by Tyree"
My man Vineel wrote a whole book

No man lmao sure this was a big one but the biggest upset in NFL history was Superbowl 3 new York jets were 1/18 underdogs back then the Afc was a joke no one gave them a shot in hell they were facing a colts side with the great Johnny Unitas biggest odds overturned to win the Superbowl for reference the 2007 giants were 1/13 underdogs but 1969 lead by Joe Namath the jets beat the Colts 49 years later still the greatest odds overturned to win a Superbowl
