Magnet Fishing is an amazing hobby, it brings people together and you can find some awesome finds.
Manchester magnet men organised a magnet fishing meetup in Manchester because they have surpassed 1000 subscribers, they invited other magnet fishers so they had a good turn out.
There was some very good magnet fishing finds here in the Manchester canal including a motorbike that wasnt registered as stolen.

Interesting thing about that bike is it wasn't road taxed since 2014 and never had an MOT, but looks like it hadn't been in the canal that long. My guess is it's had a dodgy history and hence why not reported stolen and dumped.

It’s Manchester and that’s a classic bike to be stolen, ragged about for about, do some deliveries then dumped. You see them bikes everywhere now getting stolen
Such a shame, ive never had a motorbike because i know it wouldnt last long

Hk mary, its the same as metal detecting, yes its getting harder to find stuff but there are 1000s of miles of canals to check

That knee is going to take awhile to be like new. I mean, we not all like the Six Million Dollar Man, or someone with rapid healing capabilities. I wish I was like that. My left ankle still gives me issues with barometric changes, since around 1988 or so, and my spine with its initial injury in 1992 and last one in 2002. Fun fun.
My knee is taking longer than the average person to heal which is annoying and mine is similar to yours with it being worse in cold weather

@@drasticg Hope it does get to feeling better tho soon. Do you ever use a knee brace sleeve? It's suppose to help ease comfort by snugging the area up abit.

On the bike did you just check the number plate ? Or the frame number as well ? Because it's fairly easy to swap plastics and plates over
I only checked the plate but the lads later that day checked the frame numbers

back home to a regular spot and with friends including chicken hat guy....and ppl think i'm odd, mind you its manchester so yeah, another first tinsel hmm wonder if the tree's down there? someone didn't get "insert hot gift here" or missed the chance to throw out there tree, lol rule 1 of magnet fishing hold onto rope attached to manet it helps, rule number two shoes with grip though not steel toed also helps to stop slips shoes with no tread though good for none work or just don't want to get dirty arent very good on slippy surfaces, hope rest of the car's not down there! might be one you can't pull out! its alway them that find the bikes you only get the dirty things or a bit of bike or the frame never a whole one in this bit,
that bike as not even had its first mot yet was due in 2016 but was never taken for one

The bike is 6 years 4 months old first registration was 27th September 2013 first mot was due 26th September 2014 and it never had a chance to get it 🤷♂️ strange if you ask me as the tax was out 1st September 2014 ??

For the motorcycle, the road tax was due in 2014
Crazy - so the owner would have only been able to enjoy it a matter of weeks/months before it was likely stolen and dumped. What a waste!
