That same sherpa blanket seller is now selling their 60 x 80" size for $50.76 which the same size costs $50.75 on Printify, zero profit. If you look its white on the other side not brown like that cheaper one on Printify so presume they are using that better version or doing there own somehow.

Very true and good ideas but what about shipping. Shipping costs on large pillows is $27 or over $100 on some of those canvases so I'm curious how much of that profit is actually profit or covers shipping too.

Great video! My shop caters to the moonphases and hunting niches, and I had no idea blankets actually sold that well to those niches but it makes sense when I think about it. Was deciding to move away from art prints and selling other POD items and my art style doesn't work well on t shirts, it never occurred to me to consider selling blankets!

Hey there! Great video. I am starting to use POD for my ETSY shops. I'm wondering, how do you do personalized items when using Printify? Is it too time consuming? I would have to monitor sales and create the product and then upload it manually each time an item sales, right? Should someone, like me, who is just starting out try to create a personalized item to sell? Or would it be best to get the hang of this first and then do personalized? Thanks! I am learning so much from your content.
Also, when setting up my ETSY listing, how do I find the production partner information? ETSY asks a lot of questions and I am not sure where to find that info from Printify. Does each product have a different location and address, etc?

I know it says submit manual, but seeing the steps would help me. It's been the hurdle keeping me from moving fwd with POD I'm so worried about what to do, and how to create an effective workflow for the personalization request over to printify

@Brand Creators also I haven't been able to find a good how to design a blanket
and add to printify from step 1 video on youtube. ( I know there is design tshirt videos but still hard to piece together info if all the same details still apply like dpi height width the kind of file to save it as. So worried about learning through trial and error. As on etsy one can't risk getting low ratings because of a new technology learning curve. Especially for crafters like me who want to add in pod items, for us it's a new skill set when you've been making items by hand and you mess up you re do it. With pod If you don't know digital design specifications there is no re-do button ...

@@brandcreators hey there. Just to answer your question on "what are you looking for?" I would like to know if you suggest personalizing products that are POD when starting out with ETSY. Can you offer personalized products that are POD? Is it better to get started and understand the flow of selling first before trying to do each order separately? If I wanted to put someone's name on the blanket, can I do that with a POD order that I do not totally produce myself? Do you have any opinion on personalized products vs non-personalized products when starting this selling business?

    But...just because they're IN someone's cart, doesn't necessarily translate into a sale. I've had upwards of..."in 20 carts"...and no sale.
It's better to look at..."how many sold in the last 24 hours"....THAT'S a truer indication of a viable product.

So if you use printify, then Etsy is gonna give the option to personalized them. Or make a custom order. So how does that work? I'm just thinking I would get the order. And then I would have to go to printify and print it out and send it to them

Yup. And one year later this same 36”x24” canvas has (without Premium) a $57.34 production cost with $16.99 shipping. That shipping isn’t even so bad… I jumped on this video after searching YT for the best option for POD canvas, because I was on Printify pricing out 36”x36” (12” longer on one side) and that size had a $88.07 production cost with $75.29 in shipping!
I know that if I personally saw $75 in shipping, I’d move off a listing pretty darn fast, so you kind of have to add it to the price. So before you add in all the other fees, or god forbid any profit, for 36” square, you’re starting at $163.36 cost if you include the shipping.
It seems that if your design is square you’re better off not going larger than 24”x24” because shipping gets stupid after that. I can live with the cost of the canvas and printing but just for shipping: 24x24 $14.39 (reasonable); 30x30 $36.39 (getting stupid); 36x36 $75.29 (stupid AF).

Most Etsy sellers have a no returns or exchanges policy except if it’s a defective product.

Love your videos,Scott, but it creates a HUGE PAIN in my heart when you provide examples of hunting(HURTING) niche in one of your videos which is an activity to kill innocent animals like deer, elk, other animals that hunters kill for their sick pleasure.. the world is already suffering through climate change issues and a big reason of this issue is meat eating which again is killing innocent animals for your pleasure. So just a kind request, Scott. When you create your videos, can you please use examples other than hunting, fishing or killing innocent animals please? 🙏 And to all those people who might want to comment here that meat eating doesn’t affect climate change, please do your research on Google and you will see that meat industry is the BIGGEST reason for climate change today. The least we can do is turn vegetarian, if not, Vegan. Please do it for the sake of our future generations otherwise all of them will really hate us for being their ancestors as we did NOTHING in this regards even when we had the opportunity to do it.

Meat and dairy industry is the biggest cause of greenhouse gas emissions, you can research it up and you will find that this is true..I used to be a non-vegetarian too but when I can to know about the HORRORS of the impact of meat industry on climate change, I turned Vegan…At least I don’t want my great grandkids to say “The least grandpa could have done individually to make sure he is leaving the planet in a good condition in whichever way he can was by at least turning Vegan and he even didn’t do that??????”
