I really like ur videos because of how simple and straight they are but my problem is I can't really pay for any website for now and I just started and im wondering if there's any other ways for free to start the print on demand thank you so much
No worries! Absolutely agree.. Often overlooked, but if you nail the research stage you can build a massive business by being in the right place at the right time 👍
Hi Greg, would it be possible for you to make a tutorial on how to highlight the product on Amazon by the merchant, and also how to upload it so that we are not canceled by Amazon
Hi Greg, Been binging your channel haha. Love you style and straight forward content! Easy to follow. I created my Merch & Placeit subscriptions! I used a design (on Merch) that didn't have a background option to remove. If I see this again does this mean this would not work because you cannot remove the background?
That's awesome, I appreciate that! Hmmm... I'd look at a couple things: Was the template a social media template or other design template instead of a t-shirt design template? Was the transparent background checkerboard in another tab within background colors? I'd have to see it to figure it out but I haven't run into that on t-shirt design templates before. For me they always allow the background to be made transparent. I know that's not the most helpful but hopefully it gives you a place to look and hopefully figure it out.
It is the most specific and easier tutorial what you provided! If I am using one slogan but created with different templates, is it would be copyrighted or not ?
That's a great question. In my experience, there's no way to 'really' know. There are tools out there that will tell you estimated sales numbers, but they quickly lead to paralysis by analysis. The way I see it, it doesn't take long to create designs and upload them into a sub-niche, so it's only going to diversify you more by getting into as many as you can (especially while they are low-competition). Hope that helps shed some light on this, and I appreciate the comment!
I will do that! I REALLY appreciate that! I’m going to go through all your instructions you’ve shared and do those first then if I need more help I will reach out😊👊🏼👍🏼 Thanks, Greg!
The print on demand websites do it all for you 👍 We just need to upload the designs and they literally do it all from there and we just get a split of the profit from each sale. More on it all here: ua-cam.com/video/oWh4PP68RsE/v-deo.html
Great video Greg. Lots of great tips. I have a question. Does this method apply only to Merch on Demand or can I use it for other marketplaces such as Red Bubble, Zazzle, Tostadora?
Hey Greg, this is the first time watching you and I'm so glad that I found your video bc it's just what I needed. I have been watching UA-cam videos for almost a year now and guess what I haven't done a damn thing yet. Overthinking everything too much information along with the shiny object syndrome. Your video and the other ones that I am going to watch now, may just get my ass motivated I hope, LOL. I have a quick question all the UA-cam videos on digital products selling on Etsy all that say you should go with one particular niche or sub-niche in your shop. I don't want to sell on Etsy because they charge for each listing and that can get pretty costly. 40, 80 or 100 product listings that gets expensive.. Could you possibly give me some ideas where else I can sell the products I'm going to design and sell. One of my thoughts was to sell on my Website, but I don't know how to set that up. I plan on starting a Newsletter in the Health & Self Care Niche, bc that's what I'm really knowledgeable in and its my passion. Any ideas or suggestions you may have I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and have a good evening
Great question. My usual go-to is 'names' for this one, and my understanding is they get bought as gifts for people. 'Birth years' are also a good one here. Some sites allow the customer to customize the design before purchasing, that's a huge opportunity as well. Hope that helps!
Thank you very much for this Greg. Wouldn't it be more effective as I've seen and heard people do when first testing the waters, is upload a bunch of designs in different niches in 1 store only on a marketplace, and use that as a test to see which ones sell, and then after determining which designs will be likely more profitable and have popularity, THEN you create a store solely dedicated to that one niche. This is, rather than spending potentially wasted time and effort having a store in a niche that never gets traction. ??
Excellent question! This is my old strategy that I used to do/teach 😉 It doesn’t work well anymore because the general niches are full and saturated. Now it’s about going in with intel on what’s under-saturated and filling those up. It’s like getting ahead of the curve rather than seeing what sticks. Hope that makes sense and helps!
Hi Greg! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply with your thoughts. I was in fact 'not' wanting to do general niches as you mentioned, but rather upload low competition sub-niche designs in 3 markets of which I've already researched their data and demand. But just wanted to ensure I pick the right market before dedicating a full store to that specific niche by seeing which ones sold more first. What held me back was the credibility aspect of when people see multiple niches designs in one store. I'm happy you cleared that up for me where I'll separate the designs per store per market. Thanks heaps!.@@GregGottfried
So I love this tutorial! You made it look so simple. I can’t ever get a list. I don’t know the right way to ask for the list. It gives me sayings and activities and then when I type those in Merch informer it tells me that phrase does not exist
Really great tutorial thank you - I just have a question, I am based in the UK - if I use Merch Informer does it looks across the globe or only the US? I guess if it checks it globally than you would be able to sell designs on different country Amazon sites?
Hi Greg! Thanks for your time! Great tutorial videos! I have a silly question, how is the quality for the final product? Like, type of fabric, fitting, printed? My husband ordered a lot of those t-shirts from Amazon it's all about VA. The quality of the cotton it is Ok and the printed very good! I washed a lot of time and the printed still intact. Base on your experience which will be your favorite company if I want to a good quality t-shirts or tank tops for women over 40s. :)
@@GregGottfried thanks , I've been selling on amazon merch for 2 weeks. Open teepublic 2 days ago and was suspended yesterday lol selling the same design I have on amazon
When you say 10-40 t-shirt designs do you mean completely different designs or can I just change the colors and images like you did with the hiker to climber?
Hi, i have a question, if low competition niche means obviously there is no demand for that niche right? Then how can we make more sales with low competition niche? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
Great question. There’s more demand than we think for every niche on Amazon. I think we often underestimate the amount of people searching there. Some super small niches I’ve uploaded to get a lot more sales than even I expected 👍👍
Hi Greg, thanks for a great video again! Will the same rules apply Etsy as well? Merchinformer is only for Amazon, or Etsy well for finding sub niches as you showed?
Nice! Great question. I use the sub-niches from merch informer as my keywords. I’ve found this works the most efficiently. I add the keywords into the title and description of the listing as keywords 👍🏼
@@GregGottfried Thank you; i was struggling for many months to find a routine to discover best niches and i found this tuto; this is very very great. 1 billion blessings to you. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello, I would like to know if you have already tried Merch dominator; if yes, what can you tell us in term of comparison to Merch informer. Thank you in advance. Best Regards
Greg how many designs do you recommend to upload in certain niche? For example i found niche.. how many designs are you making for this one before you go to search next keywords?
Hello Greg I was wondering how much money do you need to start a T-shirt business with Amazon merch on demand? My credit cards are maxed out at this time. I do have a PayPal account and I was wondering how much funds would be needed to start the business. Thank you
thank you for this! Quick question, I downloaded one design to my computer from placeit, and I did click the transparent background button before, but when I look at the file on my computer it has a black background. Is that normal?
Hmm... It should be transparent if you downloaded it with the checkerboard background, so I'm guessing it is just how your computer displays transparent backgrounds. If you try uploading it to a POD website and see that it's still transparent background (as opposed to having a black rectangle background around the design) then you are all set 👍
Hi @GregGottfried , I like your content. Would you please do a video that expounds on the local/regional aspect? I tried looking around for local stuff and ended up in a rabbit hole of local ghost stories. Interesting, but not overly helpful. How do you find local niches?
😂 my favorite comment today! Yes absolutely though. I’ll see what I can put into a video but in the meantime use chat gpt to give you tshirt slogan ideas for specific states. Then further it down to cities. And then popular attractions (that aren’t copyrighted, think like national parks etc.). Chat gpt will be able to come up with phrases unique to that location. For each topic you can check for competition levels on merch informer and you should have a bunch of good ideas to work with. Maybe some will even be ghost story related lol
@@GregGottfried You seriously are a wealth of information! Lol! Love your 'abundance attitude' (plenty for everyone to go 'round) - thanks again for sharing your knowledge! :)
I don't see the amazon and google results on the keyword finder screen. Amazon and Google are separate tabs, and Amazon has no competition. Has it changed or do I need to do something?
Great question. They recently changed it to a slightly different feature that gives us more detailed results. This is a longer video, but the new layout is covered in it: ua-cam.com/video/tkzTJUgqMI0/v-deo.html Hope that helps!

What held me back was the credibility aspect of when people see multiple niches designs in one store. I'm happy you cleared that up for me where I'll separate the designs per store per market. Thanks heaps!.@@GregGottfried
Another great video!! Thank you!
Thank you 🙌
do you also market them on your own?, can new store sell through their marketing? thank you
They do all the marketing for you as well, even on new stores. More on that here:

your video is so helpful 💌💌💌
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for the comment 🙌
which POD platform would this work best on? " Etsy, Shopify etc"
Can i upload the same design on multiple websites?
Yes you can 👍🏼
So I love this tutorial!
Hi I been doing print on demand and just want to ask everyone how long did it take to see sales
I hope this video is helpful, it's all about time to first sales: ua-cam.com/video/BRdK2GGOxnA/v-deo.html
@@GregGottfried thanks , I've been selling on amazon merch for 2 weeks. Open teepublic 2 days ago and was suspended yesterday lol selling the same design I have on amazon
Wow thank you Greg!!!!!
No worries! Thanks for the comment 🙌
What is your thought on Kittl?
When you say 10-40 t-shirt designs do you mean completely different designs or can I just change the colors and images like you did with the hiker to climber?
Great question. These would be 10-40 different designs (a different slogan and design for each). Hope that helps 👍🏼
Is the trademark checker in merch informer just for amazon or for all sayings?
Great question! It's for all sayings not just Amazon.
If I have a couple of unique ideas, how can I protect them from copiers? Or is something that it is done automatically?
Hi, i have a question, if low competition niche means obviously there is no demand for that niche right? Then how can we make more sales with low competition niche? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
Great question. There’s more demand than we think for every niche on Amazon. I think we often underestimate the amount of people searching there. Some super small niches I’ve uploaded to get a lot more sales than even I expected 👍👍
Greg question about placeit, is there a way to change the font modes, can't find any font editing tools on there.
Hey no worries! The fonts are on the left side under the text boxes as a drop down menu. Hope that helps!
Hi Greg, thanks for a great video again! Will the same rules apply Etsy as well?
Merchinformer is only for Amazon, or Etsy well for finding sub niches as you showed?
Thanks, Greg!
Thanks 🙏
Thank you for this video. I am going to start to use this strategy immediately! One question I have is: How do you do your keyword research?
Nice! Great question. I use the sub-niches from merch informer as my keywords. I’ve found this works the most efficiently. I add the keywords into the title and description of the listing as keywords 👍🏼
Thank you so much; stay blessed
Thank you 🙌
@@GregGottfried Thank you; i was struggling for many months to find a routine to discover best niches and i found this tuto; this is very very great. 1 billion blessings to you. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello, I would like to know if you have already tried Merch dominator; if yes, what can you tell us in term of comparison to Merch informer. Thank you in advance. Best Regards
I would like also like to have a comparison between Kittl and place it. Thanks
Hello, is merch informer only done for amazon merch or it can also be use for other POD platforms?
Greg how many designs do you recommend to upload in certain niche? For example i found niche.. how many designs are you making for this one before you go to search next keywords?
I always aim for 10-40 designs per niche before moving on to the next 👍🏼
Hello Greg I was wondering how much money do you need to start a T-shirt business with Amazon merch on demand? My credit cards are maxed out at this time. I do have a PayPal account and I was wondering how much funds would be needed to start the business. Thank you
How do I get my shop started
Hi Greg a question, what is the difference between Merch informer and EverBee regarding finding these Sub Niches and Low competition keywords
thank you for this!
:) and that's a good idea. I did get a few possible blurbs using Chat@@GregGottfried
@@GregGottfried You seriously are a wealth of information! Lol! Love your 'abundance attitude' (plenty for everyone to go 'round) - thanks again for sharing your knowledge! :)
Excellent ❤
Thanks! If you run into any questions just let me know 👍
I don't see the amazon and google results on the keyword finder screen.
What program can you use if you choose to make your own digital files?
hi greg great lesson is there a way to get around to get in amazon p.o.d am from the bahamas
Thanks! I believe you can use a Payoneer account to have a US bank location but I can’t promise that’s still working. Bunch of other good pod sites out there if you can’t get into Amazon 👍🏼
