I applaud you for not ruining small businesses by putting them on blast so that all the copycats can attack. This is the problem I have with many YTubers in the POD/online shops space. They hide their own websites/Etsy shops yet have no problem showing everyone else's shops.
couldnt agree more. It is obnoxious. Didnt show my shop, but Had my niche blasted a few months ago, and my actual print was flashed on the screen

I appreciate your work and advice in this video. I agree it was good not to show everyone the screens of products and shops you audited, but some examples of what to do and what not to do would have been EXTREMELY helpful.

Ive clicked on several POD/drop ship sites and you're right on the colors! Too many colors and those using Shopify seem to look the same. Its like a thing...
So many sites I've seen actually lack links with about, policies, etc.
Im the one that checks several phones while Im designing out my site, computer to phone, computer to phone so many times. LOL If I had a tablet, Id do that too.
I very much agree you so have to tweak using AI text. I design websites, mainly local businesses and researching comps you could see how many use AI and didn't tweak it, I so noticed.

There's a reason all Amazon products are on a plain white background and they don't allow mockups. Buyers want to see as much of the product as possible and don't care what's in the background.
A great point. I optimise Amazon listings and manage PPC for clients while auditing their Amazon Store and websites. So much money is lost by messing with simplicity.
Around six years ago, when my time was spent auditing more websites, the average time between first visiting a website and deciding to stay or leave was 2.6 seconds.
If someone had stayed, there was a further 6 seconds to secure the sale.
I am sure it is less on Amazon.

I used to audit websites for a living, and I will add another aspect to your great points... pop-ups.
Having pop-ups on a site needs to be done carefully. They can ruin a shopping experience and increase bounce rates.
I now manage PPC and listing optimisation for Amazon sellers, where simplicity can hugely affect conversion rates and profits.

Valuable insights indeed. I didn't think that too many mockups could be distracting. It looks so obvious to me now that I've watched this video. Sometimes some things require extra thinking.
Btw, can you make a video about copycats in POD space? Everytime I upload a design, a bunch of copycats popup that make their designs based on mine. My designs are mostly text based, since I am not good at graphics artwork, and those copycats create theirs by using my text and adding different elements which, as far as I know, is not a copyright infringement, because they're not bluntly copying me, but altering them to their liking by adding different elements. Yet, it pisses me off, because it drives away potential customers from me and secondly, it looks like I am generating ideas and they're just sitting there and copying them.
Don't use Kittl because that's basically what it's for. Ppl publish their design to the community and it will tell you by that artwork who made it, even how often it's used!
that's so frustrating... we sell on shopify so don't really have that problem, but it can be very annoying for those that sell on marketplace based platforms

thank you!! Appreciate that. I don't think Temu will end Pod... it's different and lot of people don't trust Temu. They would buy from you because they're on your website and they like the designs. Sure you'll lose some people who do some googling for a cheaper option but A lot will stick through and buy from your site

When you talk about colors, you mean the colors used in the storefront only or do you mean the color variations of the products being sold as well? So the shirt color variations have to all be the same colors as all the colors on the website elements.

i just found better options, cheaper options and easier options
Is it effective if i put just the design showing instead of the mockup? On spreadshop i can't put the same mockup for every design and i can also use only models
just the design... im not sure. people like to see it on a t-shirt as it helps them visualise wearing it and owning it
