  • I had my one week post-op appointments after undergoing stage 2 phalloplasty, fat grafting and lymph re-routing with Dr. Chen and Dr. Lin. I also saw my orthopedic doctor to see if knee surgery was going to be in my near future.

phalloplasty is a horrifying mutilation procedure. It is a pity that you did not get the professional mental help before proceeding into mutilating your body.

You've been through so much, I'll probably binge watch everything over the next few days. Btw, you look great, as always. Your brows seem to be growing in nicely. And you had your balls done, I'm really happy for you... About your knee, I think you should trust your gut feeling. Don't have it if you have any doubts. It sounds like the surgeon is a bit too scalpel-happy, surgery should be the very last option. I have a fucked up knee too, I feel your pain. Anyway, I hope for the best, for you. Much love to ya 😊

Glad alls healing well! I literally laughed when you were talking about Mrs H getting the photo bomb from Dr Chen your expression was classic. Far as your knee goes follow your gut,it will never steer you wrong. I know that sounds old school but its the advice I'd give my own son he's 30. I would also seriously weigh all options because like you said that whole process sounds old fashioned. With so many high tech surgeries today why would Dr opt for that. I'll say a lil prayer it can't hurt right ☺. You look & sound alot better btw. Much love my friend!

Oh gee just watched more of your video, so sorry you've got so much going on with your knee too. I'm waiting on an MRI for issues with my knee. I'd say go for the year...give your body some rest, it's been through a lot and 1 year out of a lifetime is worth it! Hey glad to hear your healing well. I havent been in the gym since July now dealing with a broken foot after two surgeries. If it was my choice I would give your body time to heal competing isnt going anywhere if you dont allow your body to heal correctly you can damage it beyond repair. I would spend the next year training n healing. As far as the knee the re alignment sounds painful. I had my mincus repaired it was all done micro. Maybe research it more. I found an awesome brace for my from don joy I believe it's called the web brace awesome stuff.... good news on the balls...

I had an osteotomy on my hip to save myself from a full hip replacement at 27, best decision I've ever made. I lost a lot of muscle, but it's has given me a larger ROM. I put it off due to work, but I wish I hadn't left it so long!!
Osteotomys are more involved than a replacement but having your own bone in the right position makes it so worth it. Good luck dude

LMAO!!! Pics of your package to your mom!!! When I had my breast reduction, I was in the twilight stage of anesthesia... I remember the nurses and doctor rolling me around, sitting me up, lifting my legs, and all of them looking at and talking about my tattoos. LMFAO!!! I asked the doctor about it and apparently, I was supposed to be out and I shouldn't have remembered that. She said, "It wasn't bad! We all love your tattoo theme and you inspired some of us to get tattooed..." She was afraid I was going to have a fit. Nah... I'm about 30% covered right now... so I love to show my work and often raise my shirt to show my back, pants legs to show that work, etc... Yeah, just a funny surgery story for ya... HAHAHAHA! I’m so glad you are healing well from these recent surgeries! You look happier now that you have those surgeries behind you. I’ve had some issues with my knee which had prevented me from working out/running in colder weather because of the joint pains and in my hands so I just have to eat as clean as I can so I can control my weight. Which normally isn’t a problem but I don’t want it to jump unless it’s muscle mass. But I’m done rambling. You look great and I saw your eye brow video too! Everything seems to be coming together more and more for you! May 2019 be your best year yet! 💕

I just had that done. I had an mpfly tibia tubular osteotomy. It hurt. 8 months no weight bearing and you HAVE to be carelful. It was my 5th knee surgery and by far the worst for pain. I am 1 Year 1 month post op from it. I am not fully recovered. I say becarful because my doc continued to progress me in therapy and we didn’t catch the small fracture from the bone not being completely healed. Therefore the PT made the osteotomy Fracture more and now I’m on a bone stimulator.
I also have zero feeling from the knee down to the ankle on the front and inside of the leg.
Good news is you will feel stronger and it is solid. Just be careful and expect lots of recovery time, pain and swelling. If you have any questions I can answer them. I would say it’s worth it if you’ve had all these continued problems.

    • @Codytalks11
      @Codytalks11  5 років тому

Hey thanks for all the info man! Did they say the numbness will go away over time or is it permanent? Pretty crazy long recovery for sure. I don't know if I feel up for it after going through so many recoveries haha. ugh Did you also have meniscus tears and arthritis of sorts?

I haven't had my knee done, but I can say the best advice I did not take was to wait and heal properly before taking on my tasks. Let me tell you, this was one of the worst mistakes I have made. I know it's hard to take time healing, but depending on the difficulty of competition, I would say be in your best form first. Just my opinion, and we are all as individual as our fingerprints. So I think you should give it much thought and see if you feel like Summer is best for you, or giving it more time for you to be stronger.

I had a tib/fib osteotomy to fix a birth defect. It was a waste of time/money and the pain is beyond EXCRUCIATING!!! Seriously as a first hand person get a third and fourth opinion. My body rejected the rod and it did not heal for two years. Yes a broken leg for two years straight. Had emergency surgery to remove the rod and screws. To this day I shutter of all the pain it was.

    • @kither04

Cody_talks mine is a defect in my bones. I went from downhill mountain biker to wheelchair. Not from the surgery. But i knew it would be coming and I honestly would not want my walking life back. I am happily married to an able bodied and have a nice house, a part time job to get out of the house. My life is better now then when it was.
But I do have complications 11 years out. Nerves were cut so lack of feeling in many parts of the leg. RSD developed and when it flares it is pain you want to chop your leg off. And when the weather comes like a storm you feel it. Now everyone is different and I am not trying to scare you. Because again I have bone defects from birth.
But I had friends with CP have it and it did not work out well for them either. The bones re shifted.. I just want you to see how much of an intense surgery this is and make sure you read negative and positives. Your career is based on this surgeries success so I hate to see another option was available. Oh and what kind of professional knives do you use? I am in the kitchen for hours and was looking at henckel forged pro series.

Any thoughts on what guys have to tend with between their legs for their whole life? Also, I had the orthoscopy 30 years ago and I think it has a good chance of working for you. It is the least invasive AND if they find once they are in there that you need the more invasive surgery, they can probably do it right then if you have consented to it if needed. The doctor should be agreeable to it or just get a second opinion. That's my advice. Hope it helps. I think you will be very happy with your arm; it may take time.

I had my knee reconstructed in 2015 from multiple dislocations.
I went to an academy and during it we had to fight. The kid I was paired with
Kicked me in the same knee and blew it out. I had it scoped October of 2017 which didn’t work. I have fractures on the back of my patella from the Cartlidge damage
And arthritis is pretty bad. I had torn my mpfl which is the medial Patella ligament. So they used a cadaver to fix that. Long story short they wanted to do the osteotomy you
Are talking about to revert it from pressure on the Meniscus and mpfl so it would keep my patella from dislocating. My Meniscus isn’t near as bad as yours, Just slightly torn.
I had the osteotomy November of 2017. It hurts. And I mean pain pills don’t touch it. My other surgeries weren’t near as bad. So after 9-10ish weeks. I can’t exactly remember I finally was able to start putting weight on it. It took me another 4 weeks to learn how to walk normal again. From there it’s very slow baby steps since they essentially broke your bone in half. So we did followup x-rays to make sure it was healing. However the xrays only show so much so we assumed it was healed and I started running and jumping.
The intensity of the progression fractured where the osteotomy was and took a new surgeon to recommend a CT scan. The CT caught it. From the pt I fractured it at the bottom which creased upwards into the tibia. I have been on the bone stimulator to try to heal it since July now. They say if it doesn’t heal in the next 4 months they do a bone marrow transplant. (This is worse case and if your surgeon pays close attention you shouldn’t fracture it. Just go slow. If it hurts don’t do it. Seriously. And if it does ask for a CT instead of an ex ray. That will cut through the bone so you can see more of what’s going on)
I have heard others recover just fine. Over all strength feels great. It’s the bone part that’s been a bitch.
And no. As far as the numbness I have a nerve test done and my saphenous never was damaged and will not return.
The pain now sucks. I usually sit around a solid 6 full time and with activity or being stationary it goes up. That could just be from the bone however and my hardware. I don’t want to freak you out! You should just know this stuff going into it. If you are at the last result I would go for it. Just prepare yourself for a long intense recover. I am active too. I have been limited which drives me nuts. I have to modify lots of weight lifting and basically cut out cardio unless I can make it into an upper body session.
Have you heard of BFR. Blood flow restriction training? I would look it up. You might try it. It allows you to lock the blood in a muscle mass which allows the muscle to grow 3xs as much with little exercises like 30sec wall sits 3 times. It’s what made my leg strong with all the extra going on. Just to add, most people do recover according to my surgeon and go back to normal activity like running and lifting. I didn’t catch the break so I’m having a set back. That’s not everyone tho!

That seems really fucking drastic with your knee?!? I can understand your reservations. I am sure you’ve covered it off before but what are they saying is your actual knee problem?
I dunno, I’m always so sketchy about this stuff, I used to have chronic back pain from scoliosis and hypermobility and they were talking about like pain management doctors and spinal fusion - which is obviously super drastic, but with a lot of hard work I’ve managed to get my pain basically under control. Not saying you can do that with your knee, but just saying how the most drastic option isn’t necessarily the only or best option!
Ps. Your arm is looking great, even with all the sutures and scribbles lol

Why wouldn't you go for a knee surgery rn, you're already bored from having to recover from your arm, this way you'll make recovery double worth it, otherwise you'll be bored twice. But anywhoot, I hope the arm will feel better after recovery! Hugs

that sounds like a disaster. Getting your leg moved so that the weight rests differently. Hows that going to affect your ankle and your hip and the rest of your muscular skelital system over time? It makes more sense to replace the miniscus where its worn.
Im glad you have a discerning mind and dont just do what someone tells you without researching and thinking it through.

in regards to your knee (not for phallo obviously lol) but i'm always of the mindset that if i can live with it i'd rather. i don't have knee issues but i have major jaw structural issues and i've had countless surgeons offer to break, rebreak, reset, you name it, to my jaw. but the bottom line for me is that i can live with it - it gets in the way sometimes but it's manageable. i'm not saying that's the route you should take it's just something to keep in mind - a surgeons job is to suggest surgery, even if that might not be the ONLY way for you.

leg surgery sounds okay except that if you mess with the balance of the body it might fuck up your spine. my dad had a tiny little bit shorter leg, maybe a centimeter or two and it impacted his balance and spine. so I'd think about it hard before making a decision.

@@Codytalks11 hmmm that's interesting. but also your leg could be shorter duento the skeletal imbalance. our skeleton is always a bit off, and often times one leg seems shorter but after a chiropractor session ends up being the same. my father had a car accident so his leg was really shorter, but otherwise it could be your spine. but anyway, take some time to think it through. I am certain any decision you make is going to be smart. :)

Will you even be able to endure the amount of stress it will put on your knee and arm to get ready for a competition?! Only you can answer this question. And, if the answer is "Yes" and it won't do more/permanent damage to those areas, I say go for it. Then when the competition is over get the surgery that is going to be best for your long-term knee health. Also, get a second opinion! Also, check in with your Higher Self. I know it's nice to hear other people's thoughts...and ultimately only you know what's best for you and your body...and Life.

Take care of your knee first. Competing will still be there. What if you wreck it while training and can never compete again. Also that option sounds a little off the wall. Wouldn’t a replacement be better in the long run. So there going to move the pressure to another area. And then what happens in time when that area gets worn down from the stress and pressure. He probably will eventually have to have a replacement, do it now and then get on with your life. Yes the recovery is horrible, but in the end you have a brand new knee

So my surgeon won't do the balls until the second stage as well but my surgeon also won't do the re-routing of the urethra until second stage as well. So until second stage I won't be able to pee with it either. So once i qualify i feel like I'll be super dysphoric still until the second stage. Also for the glansplasty I've seen this surgeon results and it's just a circle incision near the tip but looks nothing like I have seen of bio penis's where there is more indentations and it's not just a perfect circle. I feel like the only surgeon my insurance will cover won't make my penis passable compared to people getting it done out of state. Anyway happy for you. Hopefully when I I qualify when i loose enough weight my results will be better than photos I've seen of others.
