The fact that he changed and she didn’t even get to see how is so unfair it’s heartbreaking. Idk why ppl say to skip the next arc it’s good especially since it follows up with Lucy’s dad. Glad u guys are reacting to it
The first few episodes are horrible in my opinion, but I agree that once we're past those it does get (mostly) good. But with the first couple of episodes being so bad, I can easily see why some people would have just skipped and never looked back. Let's face it, the Giggly Butt Gang is something not even RAVE Master veterans are likely to appreciate, much less anyone who's never seen the previous Mashima manga (I think the anime adaptation ended before the gang had their appearance, but I'm not sure - haven't watched the RAVE anime in ages). And they just act so totally braindead in those first few episodes I just want to punch whoever wrote those scenes. Spoiler: The enemy has a shield that reflects our attacks back at us. There are three of us. What should we do? a) Grapple the shield to push it aside or maybe even rip it away from him b) use our numerical superiority to attack from multiple sides simultaneously since he can only defend against one direction at a time c) turn the floor beneath him to ice, so he slips and gives us an opening d) set the wooden floor under him on fire e) something else mildly creative and/or logical The answer is of course f) All three of us attack him from the same direction to make sure he can easily reflect our attacks back so we end up hurting ourselves! Fuck whoever wrote that scene and fuck whoever signed off on it. And that is far from the only terrible scene in those early episodes of the arc. But hey, at least it does really get better later. I am not being sarcastic with this remark, I really do like the latter parts of the arc. Imitatia, Cobra x Kinana, Gildarts vs Byro, Laki getting a few small scenes, Angel's bits, the final parts with Lucy and the clock are all great... but as I said the early episode are really horrible to me.
@@lilveltheplayer2164 I know and I don't particularly mind the early stuff (though it's almost all filler, with just a few manga scenes sprinkled in). Invisible Lucy and the ball are just fun side-stories I don't mind at all and the introduction of Michelle is fine too. Where it really takes a nose-dive for me though is the first appearance of the church team, where the Fairy Tail wizards start suffering from loss of brain disease. :/
And his death makes the story more real, like things that may happen in real life after a strained relationship with our loved ones. Things are always changing. :(
0:50 Behind Totomaru's class there is a picture of Natsu with an X, he isn't welcome 10:56 That dog is named Alexandria Strauss, he actually is very popular in the manga Q&A and is often part of Mira's and Lucy's conversations, it's a dog of the streets which passes often close to Mira's house and she gave to her a name.
One thing that I don't see anyone else mentioning is that Lucy was gone for 7 years and missed seeing her dad again by only one month. She was so close to being able to see her father again and she just barely missed it.
Damn, seeing yall cry makes me cry too!! This and the previous episodes are super emotional. I absolutely cannot imagine the kind of nostalgia, helplessness and empty painful void everyone felt when looking at the pictures of their "dead" friends and then said friends coming back and it's just, a happy moment but also a sad one because they missed whole seven years. The feelings are just...indescribable and they hit HARD AF. Fairy Tail can be lighthearted when it comes to battles (in the sense that our guys always win one way or another and there isn't much death) but many times and in other aspects, it just hits you so hard in the heart. There are very few animes that actually have made me cry multiple times and FT is one of them. It will forever have a special place in my heart. Their world is my dream world. Magic, love, a big family, gorgeous nature, fantasy, and eternal adventures!

@@momohiragi9382 yea I can understand. Even I would have skipped it if I had known that it was a filler arc while I was watching FT. But I'm glad I watched it.
It's not filler. Mashima had the story plotted out but due to the anime catching up to the manga, he kept it out of the manga and put it in here. The events are referred to in the manga as well. The first part of the arc is rough and I don't like it, but everything after a certain point is decent to very good. I also really don't get this attitude toward filler anyway (just like all the cut content complaints for light novel adaptations). Did for example either Lord of the Rings or the Harry Potter movies follow the books to the letter? I know very few movies or series based off books that follow them absolutely. Why should we expect different on Japanese media? The show and the manga may tell essentially the same story but they are two different things. Now it could go off the rails like Percy Jackson or Promised Neverland but that doesn't happen most of the time. So if I read a manga or light novel series I know they'll be similar but not exactly the same. Just as I knew the LoTR movies would differ from the books I loved (and I was critical about some parts but I still love the movies too). I can see skipping filler on the second go around. If I ever watch Naruto again (highly unlikely) I would skip a huge chunk of the filler, though probably not all. But Fairy Tail filler is by and large either really funny or really good or both. Even the Daphne arc has its rare moments. And for someone watching the first time, it's part of the experience. And if you haven't read the manga at that point, like they haven't, they wouldn't even know without looking something up, which the people watching originally wouldn't have had that luxury. So let them watch and judge for themselves. You even said you only think you might get bored. You won't know unless you actually watch.
