In addition, I think this was like one of the few episodes (or probably the only episode) where Natsu, Lucy, and Happy fight together. Most of the fights after this would be either just Natsu or Lucy with someone else (not counting spirits of course)
I would say maybe physical strength is not there yet, but durability Lucy is at Natsu level. For someone who never fought until she joined FT, taking those hits like nothing is S-class level.
Cana didn’t get enough hate for ditching Lucy and almost getting her killed. And her reasoning? So weak, she coulda told gildarts at any point… nothing was holding her back
Fight wise this is literally my least fav episode in this arc but entertainment wise it's lit like 11/10 ,i laughed so hard and then it's gotten a little serious but next minute in and there goes my seriousness lmao

It's a proof that Lucy is physically strong. It's just that she doesn't go all out unless she is forced.
