ABOUT PAPADAKIS RACING:
The Papadakis Racing team began drifting in 2004 and is the most winning team in Formula Drift history, earning the 2015 title with driver Fredric Aasbo, as well as back to back championship titles with driver Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008. The Rockstar Energy Drink / Nitto Tire Toyota GR Supra is the latest competition build from the Carson, California, based team.
Team owner Stephan Papadakis is a legend of sport compact racing who began building his reputation in the 1990s with the first front-wheel drive, tube-chassis drag car in the U.S. The team earned multiple records and championships in the discipline, turning in elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars. Papadakis' successes in front-wheel drive were matched by his efforts in rear-wheel drive when he campaigned a Honda Civic that became just the fifth car to join the NHRA's Sport Compact 200 MPH club - Авто та транспорт
You could literally talk about paint drying and i would listen, make whatever videos you feel like making.
Maybe if he makes videos about food in race day would great
I love shop made tools and equipment .
Do more please
When Papadakis talks, you just sit down and listen, even if it's just about a Sink! 😎
Let that sink in
You're damn right I do.
Honestly bro this couldn’t be more true. His voice soothes me yet heightens my interest at the same time
So true!!
Greek power!
Are we just glossing over the fact that his sink has a billet top
it doesn't though? Which part are you talking about?
@@eli1000fer 2:25
And clear anodized, hahaha. For a sink. I respect it.
@@thecma3 oh word
When you are so race car that even the sink has AN fitting.
My preference: 80+ % cars, rest can be videos like this one.
agreed... do other stuff but dont lose focus
Yes, variety is the spice of life but you want a meal to be mostly bread.
3 months since last video
Papadakis: We’ve built a sink
Me: This pleases me
When are you 2JZ swapping the sink for ultimate drainage ?
just run a dry sump setup on the sink for max drainage
But wait, you can put in some NOS-bits, and have nitrous water rushing out of the tap. I mean those injectors that they use to mix gasoline with N2O, us that to mix the water.
And slap a spoiler for better aerodynamics !
@@youngboy301 But if you do a spoiler, then you should also give it an air suspension and lower it.
don't forget to add max camber
"have we packed everything we need at the track?" "yes, everything and the kitchen sink"
No, no. That's a "pit sink".
This is a good one, I was surprised no one had said it until I found this
😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely show us more of the non-car build stuff too. Anything that you guys do that supports your motorsport activities!
Right?! Behind the scene stuff is cool
Immediately clicked the notification when i see the word sink. God I love sinks.
LOL
that's what we call a sink simp
I would love to see more of this content.
A couple grand in time and materials on a sink. Yep, sounds like racing.
UA-cam: Here’s a sink
Everyone: Meh
UA-cam: It was built by a racing team
Everyone: You have peaked my interest
Love the “we couldn’t find anything we liked, so we decided to make our own” philosophy
Imagine the fuel pump goes out on the racecar and as a last minute hail-mary fix you end up cannibalizing the pump from the sink.
The greatest part is that fact that thats probably happened
Yeah, what about the $40 TIG welded AN drain they had laying around? lulz
😂
I think these somewhat random items are actually refreshing. You would literally never thought of having a portable sink for you and your team at the racetrack! How clever! I know we all would love to see more!
Would love to see a video of everything that goes with you guys to the track!
Last time I was this early, my sink was still inside my bathroom
Where my dawg at?
@@802Garage my man!!
Raise you hand if you've watched the tool cart video 100+ times and are freaking excited for more tool / storage content!
i dont know, I feel some lockwire on the bolts would have been beneficial for the build.
The man showed up with a portable sink, and 28s into the video, I'm already impressed. I'm loving every bit of it.
For the racer who doesn't like living in dungeon garages and likes to maintain a certain level of cleanliness...... You guys are on a whole different level.
Thank god no more boring cars. Finally some sinks!!😎🔥🔥
This would actually be great in a home shop or garage. I don't have water or a drain plumbed in my garage, but this would make it possible to wash my hands without having to go into the house.
Stealing all of the ideas from this and going to build my own garage sink. Love this content, would like to see more innovative solutions.
If this had hot water this would be game changing
"The top is billet aluminum and clear anodized"
My response: of course it is.
You definitely do NOT need to stick to race cars! Everything you do is well-thought-out and engineered to win, and the way you present it is fascinating and educational. Don’t stop! More please!
GENIUS. There are basically three categories of stuff I watch on youtube: cool car stuff, building/machining stuff, and diy home repair/remodeling/plumbing. This is all three and it couldn't be from a better dude on youtube. You rock.
this is the only channel that could make a sink interesting.
I like how he shows us how to make this instead of trying to capitalize on a simple clever setup, love this team
Never thought I would sit here watching a video about a portable sink, but Papadakis Racing makes some high quality products.
Stephan Papadakis. A legendary fabricator, owner of a multimillon dollar company with dozens of employees. Unthinkable amount of skill and experience, with insane design and brutal manufacturing capabilites.
Built a billet aluminium sink.
Fcking legend.
Its been a while, finally we got blessed!!!
Steph- any of this racing support gear is always welcome in my books!! I watched the toolbox video 6-8 times. Mega helpful for devising my own setup while addressing my disdain for regular toolboxes.
This is so utilitarian, but done with a lot of craftsmanship. It’s really funny in it’s own unique way.
THIS WAS VERY NEEDED, and informational. Thank you!!!!
I love seeing stuff like this. Problem solving at it's best.
Out of all the things you would expect to come out of this channel, this would be the last one.
Pretty cool little build.
Lots of us have garages or workshops. Not many of us have race teams. Videos like this can be more useful than the fascinating techno-racer stuff you and the crew show us most of the time.
definitely show other stuff you build. that’s awesome and i love to see quality home made stuff.
I love everything about this sink build. Excellent build quality and i love the durability and mobility upgrades to the cabinet. I appreciate using easy to find components so other people can build one for their shop. Finally, everyone likes a concise explanation from Stephan Papadakis! Thank you for posting this
That's nice, very ingenuitive. Thanks for sharing.
I think the additional content you guys post is excellent, from the toolbox tour to this great portable sink which I imagine will come in handy at the track! I look forward to new content all the time, thank guys for a great channel!
All your stuff is a great joy to watch n learn from !
This is cool because it's a little glimpse at how the talent and skills used to build the amazing race cars for the team are also useful in creating the support apparatus for everyone at the track. It's a whole little ecosystem.
Clean build as always, straight to the point no frills only function.
Over engineered in the best possible way , I salute you .
For sure keep showing us this type of thing. Its awesome to see your idea's and solutions for things needed when you go racing.
Builds of all types are welcomed by me. That is ingenious!
I was literally making a portable parts washer as this popped up. I was trying to figure out a pump and a power source for the pump. Papadakis saved the day.
I enjoy the random talks like this. It's always fun and interesting.
We like seeing everything you do, not just car-based projects
As far as i'm concerned anything Papadakis racing builds is cool.
I enjoy seeing any content you guys put out. Nice work.
This just verified that I’m willing to watch anything you have to show us.
Everything you build os amazing to see!
That's cool! Thanks for sharing!
Such a simple but well executed design. Awesome!
Yes! please keep making videos like this, I race sprint cars so and have been needing the pit equipment you’ve been showing!
Love this, definitely want to see more videos of solutions you guys deploy!
This is fantastic! This is ingenuity out of necessity at its simplistic best. I’ll have to use this idea for job sites.
This is awesome! It’s cool to see what racing teams build to facilitate theirselves at the pits. Keep the cool stuff like this coming🤙!
A full quality setup, a good team shows in this things, not only the car they built.
Fabrication is awesome, please keep showing it!
Crazy as this is you put so much time into it and it shows. anything you make is just so thought out and made to perfection!
This is awesome thanks for showing
Cool things are cool! Nice to see details of pit equipment
Amazing, just the thing I needed!
More oddities like this! As someone who is constantly thinking about new ideas for the drift car/rig/track setup, love getting good inspiration like this!
Why is everything y'all build literal art.
We like that behind the scenes look. I would never have considered this was something you needed on race day. Really cool solution. Well done.
Even videos like this are amazing!
That’s straight up genius. So simple but Efficient. 👌🏽
Wow very cool! I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing more like this.
I love this video heheh. You and your team are great builders. Im so happy to see you well and with good health during this crazy times
Love seeing all the garage/pit equipment
Such a great tool for your team to use, and the level of fab work is A++
I personally would live to see more videos like this. 👍
MOAR! You guys are absolute pros. Anything you lot create is helpful content.
Keep this stuff coming!!!
Just happy to see a new vid up!
anything, give us anything! I learn a million new things and ways of doing things watching you explain everything. you and your team are a bunch of geniuses!
This is so cool!
I want to install a sink in my work van, and this gave me some great ideas (like I have not thought of an automatic pressure cutoff)
Keep it coming!
Cool, well done. Gives the rest of us some ideas
That's awesome!
Love all your videos!
we like everything you build sir. please do what ever you want. we all still gonna watch it.
Looks great! My only two criticisms: that wiring should all be run as much as possible above the wet lines so as to prevent electric fault if water bursts. And maybe put four solid rubber feet under the cabinet so it can stand upright temporarilly when not mounted on it's rolling chassis (otherwise you'll ding that blue thing underneath the cabinet).
Otherwise I'm sure your guys really appreciate this. If you take care of your shop, your shop will take care of you. (And a worker's hands and safety are important parts of your shop.)
Was thinking the same, everything electric above the pump, just when you're charging the charger doesn't get wet when the pump/fitting/tube fails ;)
It's 12v, people. And an emergency lighting battery (yes, that's what those are designed for... exit signs) that would struggle to provide 7A with a dead short. Next you'll demand it be earth grounded.
@jfbeam what about the AC supply to the bulkhead connector, and subsequent AC wiring to below the pump inside the unit? Both should really be treated with respect and, yes, grounded. Especially considering if the metal parts of the cabinet become live AC, a perfect route to ground is going to be through you washing your hands..
@@jfbeam -- On the way to the track, the cabinet is stored in a large toy-hauler style trailer along with a race car and combustible products and fumes I'm sure. An electrical short could set $100,000's worth of racing gear alight.
There's never a wrong time for best-practices; better safe than sorry.
I love this !! I'll build one for myself !! This is awesome
Superb video. It's great to know that you guys don't only do car stuff to the max, but can sometimes deviate to be lightened up a bit. Keep on with the magnificient work.
Great idea, beats walking to the end of the garage to wash up!
Loved this, please share more making of accessory videos! See a need, fill a need.
This was fascinating and gave me some ideas for my life
Nice sink, great job!
This is awesome, I work with drones and systems integrations in the middle of nowhere... This will definitely be on the list of things to make for the crew creature comforts.
Nice nice, really intresting Γεια σας απο Ελλαδα!
This is the most sophisticated sink ever.
Always love the top tear videos!
Beautiful. Imma use this setup for a mobile wok station! Thanks for the content guys!
Very smart! I like your thinking
As a plumber who also likes cars. This is some good stuff!
I'd like to keep seeing more, the creativity in all aspects 👍
Agreed, we like all of your content!
