- Let the insurance adjusters set the trap for themselves. Let them make their first move and as the contractor you react. Don't be in a hurry to give the insurance adjuster your Xactimate estimate for property damage. Allow the insurance adjuster to prepare an Xactimate estimate first. You are the contractor that was hired to perform all repairs that are prescribed by the insurance claim. Your move, Mister Adjuster.

How do you deal with adjusters that don't answer calls or respond to voicemails for 2-3 weeks? having to sit on hold 2-3 hours of the day just trying to get ahold of the adjuster, and usually someone besides the adj responds, if anyone responds at all.
