@Austin Oetken This is Leela's season, not Liz's. This is about the 4th doctor and Leela, the good episodes like Robots of Death and The Talons of Weng Chiang, not about Sarah Jane. And to be honest I think Leela and Romana were his best companions, Sarah Jane had a bit of an annoying sounding voice and way of speaking.

I love Doctor Who so much. It is literally my childhood. When I think of being a child, I think of the Doctor.
So do I Mia, the latest series with Jodie Whitaker has been brilliant and it still takes me back to Saturday teatime and Dr Who on TV. Shame it looks like we'll only get the Christmas special this year because of corona virus. Have a great evening Mia, stay safe and healthy.

When I think of my childhood I think of Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy just a shame I wasn't around for the Tom Baker era but the dvds are a perfect substitute ( :

Season 14 is my all time favourite season of Doctor Who. Here is the perfect demonstration as to why.
Cryer24597 I keep altering between season 13 and 14. Season 13 is more of a story based gothic series whereas season 14 feels more visually ambitious.

Got mine yesterday, only watched disc one so far but omg I can’t believe how well they clean these up and there’s so much new Tom!! Commentary and Behind The Sofa, he’s around, I squeed hard.

I guess I was lucky that people don't like Colin Baker as much as me cos' I had no trouble getting my "Trial of a Timelord" blu ray release . Totally worth it !!!!
They will all be re-released down the track in standard cases

@@Ceolskog yeah he's the most underrated Doctor in all of Doctor Who imo I prefer him to McCoy and apart from Tom Baker and Peter Davison I prefer Colin Baker to all other Doctors . "Trial of a Timelord" is one that gets a lot play from me so buying the blu ray with extra CGI extended scenes etc. certainly was worth the money.

incredible season - alongside seasons 12 and 13, this was indeed the golden age of Doctor Who. No other time of the show has ever matched this level. Letts was close, but not quite there. 10/10. Thank you to all the team here for these boxsets x
A fantastic season. Eldrad MUST live! Ahh the good old days. The bar was low, so every episode was magic. The effort put in by the cast and crew, writers and directors really showed, and the Doctor was incredible.
This is like if Stephen King made a Doctor Who trailer.

Easily the best cinematic trailer for one of these boxsets yet. It makes me all the more annoyed my collection is ruined because I won’t be able to get the boxset. I hope there’ll be a second wave release akin to S12.

Yeah, about a month before the lockdown, I started the mountain of Whoniverse.
I had never seen the pre millennium stuff in any kind of quantity, just the odd episode here and there.
I've got through Hartnell now... Am gutted that so much of Troughton's era is missing, but I'm almost at the end there...

This is a cruel joke. Is the BBC going to be making any more copies? This isn't available to buy anywhere, and my pre-order from Amazon is now "currently unavailable". Why are these sets being produced in such small quantities? The scalpers are having a field day.

One of the strongest series of classic who
These are actually obtainable in the US, but in normal plastic boxes with a slip case and the same art on every disc, and after the 3rd release BBC America stopped even doing the slip case... But man the UK releases are things of beauty!

Get your copy here? You're having a laugh. Me and my friend pre-ordered three-and-a-half months ago and our orders, along with several friends got cancelled a few days ago, leaving us without as everywhere is sold out. Doesn't matter how good these releases are, until they sort out the laughable availabilty, I won't even be trying to get any more.

I pre-ordered four months ago and I got a copy. But truly, in regard to the astronomical prices, the BBC should really consider to adjust the number of copies to the demands.
I missed out. Why are these "limited editions" only in UK? Why not bring out reissue in normal packaging (like in US) once they sell out?

What a classic season slowly but surely going through all the stories again, just finished Masque of Mandragora a really overlooked story!
Yeah, went in thinking it was sub par, came out loving it. Moving onto the Hand of Fear now which should be a treat 😃
I’ve always loved it. I’ve actually been to the filming location of mandragora. It’s a little village in Wales called port meiron, I think.

This is amazing
Quite frankly, season 14 is probably the best season of the entire original run. "The Face of Evil" especially stands out as pure science fiction mastery. What can said about "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" that hasn't already been said. What a great story and setting...combining The Ripper with Phantom.
Yeah....seasons 13 and 14 were just amazing.
Doctor Who used to be so much scarier than it is now. 4 was always my favourite as a kid, he was scary and funny all at the same time.

This is what Doctor Who fails at not understanding now, Baker & Tennant are sublime in the roles & forever will this show be known for having the best roots.
I can't wait to see which season is next... I do hope they keep going because I do enjoy this series.

Tom Baker was my first doctor, but I'm having trouble remembering which season I began on. Probably saw reruns, which might explain why I saw episodes from 1975 and before, but didn't start watching "Doctor Who" on PBS until about 1978 or 1979. Half an hour of "Doctor Who" each weekday evening (usually after dinnertime). I think I remember being more excited about seeing the next episode of "Doctor Who" than I was about eating dinner. Typical logic for an 11 or 12 year old.
I was born in 1979 (UK) which is kinda cool cos I was born during the Tom Baker era
but also kinda not cool because I was too young to watch it :(
