Great list but I felt there was one missing, Captain Jack's return in Fugitive of the Judoon. Especially as it wasn't revealed or spoiled it just happened and surprised us. Lovely moment.
I’ve a theory that the post-bigeneration fourteenth doctor (David Tennant) after retiring to Earth and settling down with Donna’s family will go on to become the curator from the day of the doctor.
Yeh but it was more impactful in Dalek because by 1988, a lot had given up on Doctor who so didn’t see it in remembrance of the Daleks. But did first see them conquer stairs in dalek
@@daydreamcomedianne Ace just beat the crap out of a Dalek with an enhanced baseball bat. In "Remembrance" it was actually Allison who KILLED the Dalek that had grabbed the Doctor by the throat. (btw, not dissing Ace -- she's my favorite companion of all time!)
@@just_kos99 It's more she came out of nowhere and took the Dalek by surprise. Ace also blows up one. But Rachel and Allison are total badasses and completely understated.
I think there were a lot of long awaited returns in Power of The Doctor. I was ecstatic to see Doctors 5, 6, 7, and 8 again after they were snubbed in Day of The Doctor. It was also great to see all the other returning characters like Ace, Tegan, Ian, David Bradley’s substitute 1st Doctor, the Fugitive Doctor, Vinder, Graham, Jo, Mel and of course David Tennant as the 10th/14th Doctor!
I say more No Way Home. It's different versions of the same character. Bringing in past companions and spinoff characters is more like Avengers since it's different characters teaming up.
@@cameronmonaghan6883but in the five doctors they also brought back all the companions, villains and other characters from the first twenty years of dr who.
Troughton and Pertwee bickered a bit on set during the Three Doctors. Troughton improvised a lot, Pertwee didn't and took things more seriously. Still, they became good friends and would purposely argue at conventions and fan events in good fun. As well, the Three Doctors gave us this line "I see you've redecorated. I don't like it." which has been reused a lot. The Brigadier popping up again in Battlefield was awesome, because it was an epic episode and would be his last onscreen appearance on Doctor Who (I think he was on an episode of Sarah Jane). The Power of the Doctor had Tegan and Ace return, which was notable because both of them left the Doctor on bad terms, and their Doctors returned again and they were able to make amends. They also had the companion support group where Ian Chesterson, Jo Grant, and Mel Bush came back--and I would love to see Jo come back in general--she did meet the 11th Doctor on Sarah Jane. And 1, 6, and 8 made short appearances too. I'd love to see Ace come back in general though, she's my favorite old school companion. I like how Mel popped up again in the Giggle and just immediately meshed with 14 and 15. Mel was really underutilized during her run as 6 and 7's companion. She's from 6's future, and is introduced at 6's present during his trial, so we never see how they actually meet. She's a great damsel--Bonnie Langford can scream on key, she had musical theatre and panto experience, so she was overly positive and very high energy. But she was supposed to be a computer expert but never actually did anything with them. Her last episode with 7 just had her leave him with Ace so she could keep a space mercenary in line. It was great to see her back in the Giggle, safe and sound, and actually working with computers. As well, Bonnie got a bad rap because of her high energy during the original run, and it was nice for them to give Bonnie an actual place to act and go beyond carrotjuice/aerobics/scream/pluckiness and prove that she's actually talented.
I'm actually currently waiting for a DVD set of the 60th Anniversary specials in the mail. It kinda ties into number 1 on this list, because it's after The Giggle ends you realise Tenant's 14th Doctor is the one who eventually regenerates into Tom Baker's Curator and his lines just got more and more impactful with each season, giving so much more weight to it as you realise The Curator knows everything that's going to happen up til 14 and THAT'S what he means by "you have a lot to do". Baker's Curator's scene is like a fine wine, aging beautifully with each passing year of Who up til The Giggle.
As aggravating as Empire of Death was, Sutekh's return, heck the last five minutes of Legend of Ruby Sunday, is one of the greatest moments in all of Doctor Who!

Ok I didn't count 1st Doctor in Twice Upon Time as was thinking solely with the original actor and as I didn't know who the Daleks or Master were when they returned I forgot those! And you also forgot The Toymaker and Sutekh who I said above!
I love it when past Doctors and villains return but I wish we got more companions and, even more so, spinoff characters. Clyde, Rani, Luke, Andy, Gwen, Norton, Quill, Charlie, Ram, Matteuz, April, Tanya and Mr Smith have such brilliant personalities that I would love to see work off each other and I wish they got more recognition in the wider fanbase.
"Tom Baker's footage was from an unaired episode" Until a few years ago, anyway, when Shada was finished using both animation and a brief new bit of footage at the tail end
I was sad when I read that Paul McGann said he felt like a "fraud", not REALLY an incarnation of the Doctor, since he'd only appeared once in the TV movie (pre-Night of the Doctor). I'm so glad he's been getting exposure via Big Finish. I love how "The Doctors Revisited" had Stolen Earth/Journey's End for the 10th Doctor's installment. I only wish they'd had City of Death for the 4th Doctor's, not Pyramids of Mars.
What about Teagan (Janet Fielding), Ace (Sophie Aldred) and Mel (Bonnie Langford)? And there was David Tennant (No. 10/14) and Peter Davison (No. 5, who is Tennant’s father-in-law in real life) in the mini-episode they did together? And more attention should have been given to Donna (Catherine Tate)! And I want to see more of Paul McGann (No. 8)!
Why does everyone get it wrong the Frist time the daleks was seen going upstairs was in 1988 remembrance of the daleks not the 2005 dalek that was the second time it was showing to go upstairs
I stopped watching Doctor who a while ago for a number of reasons, but least of all because of the constant returns of David Tennant. How do you expect any other Doctor Who actor to shine if you keep bringing back David Tennant, as good as he was.
Can I ask why for Smith. Smith is more Alien then Tennant both Timed, Gatwa, Jodi and Davidson combined. He was my Childhood and he has lots of Great moments/Episodes and the Best for the Mordern Era Music Wise.

Surprised that having "all 13!" showing up to save Gallifrey during the 50th didn't make the list. Wasn't expecting that, and it was awesome!
Probably wouldn't have included it seeing how it wasn't a return per se, but still an incredible moment!
