    Qatar Airways' HUGE Plans on A350 Will Change The Entire Aviation Industry! Here's How
    After 2 years of grounding, Qatar Airways finally made up their mind to bring its entire A350 fleet back to service with a huge plan that would stun the whole aviation industry. Find out in this episode of flig avia: what is Qatar Airways planning? and what makes it so shocking?
    Qatar Airways' HUGE Plans on A350 Will Change The Entire Aviation Industry! Here's How
    Now, first of all, what is the plan?
    After 2 years of grounding, Qatar Airways decided to bring back all of its A3 50’s to service, with the A3 50 - 900 registered A7- ALF being the last one to return on February 7th this year.
    Thierry Antinori, the Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, has indicated that the airline is optimistic about the A3 50's prospects on routes connecting Europe with Asia, as well as Australia, the Indian Ocean region, and Africa. This outlook is based on the expectation of a robust summer season, evidenced by the airline serving more than 7 million passengers in the first two months of the current year.
    Qatar Airways' HUGE Plans on A350 Will Change The Entire Aviation Industry! Here's How
    This figure represents a 31 Percent increase compared to the same timeframe in 20 23, and a 40 Percent rise from the passenger numbers before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Presently, Qatar Airways' fleet includes 34 A3 50-900’s and 24 A3 50-1000’s. Additionally, there is an impending delivery of 18 more A3 50-1000’s. Once these deliveries are fulfilled, the total count of A3 50’s in Qatar Airways' fleet will reach a remarkable 76 aircraft.

      Yes, the economics are there. And as a side benefit, the A350 is exquisitely beautiful, including those gracefully curved winglets.

    If Qatar did not settle, what alternatives does it have? Smaller 787 or short range 787-10? Or the per annual delays of 777-9? Boeing’s quality is under scrutiny. If Al Baker followed through, Qartar should not accept any Boeing planes. What a hypocrite!

    I remember the paint issues on the A350, but I had no clue that Qatar Airways had grounded them for 2 years because of this.

    One should mention that the single hull loss was did not result in any deaths onboard of the a350 (4 on ground) and wasn't caused by a technical error or the pilots flying. They simly rammed another airplane while landing, which should not have been there. Rip to the 4 crew on the smaller plane.

    Another factor in the settlement is that QR could buy airplanes from only two sources - Airbus and Boeing. Meanwhile, Airbus can sell to nearly 100 different airlines, giving them massive alternative revenue sources; QR had virtually no other choices for buying. If they wanted to keep their fleet operating, they HAD to settle.

    I think Al Baker was right about not being happy with the surface problems his planes had. I`m happy though that this was sorted amicably in the end, I think AB made the right choice in repairing these aircraft & importantly getting their relationship back to where it had been.

    • @abarratt8869
      @abarratt8869 Місяць тому +1

      They did reach an amicable agreement, but only after the Judge in the case in London warned them both that if they didn’t he would impose his own judgement and issued his own orders, and there was a hint that neither party would like it if he did. So they got together and sorted it out. Quite a threat from a UK Judge!

    • @shi01
      @shi01 Місяць тому +3

      Nobody was happy about the problems, but there's a difference between beeing not happy and making shit up to get some money out of the situation. I mean, Quatar wasn't the only airline that encountered these issues, but they were the only one that acted like spoiled children.

    • @abarratt8869
      @abarratt8869 Місяць тому +1

      @@shi01 I certainly agree with that! Though I think it was less the airline as a whole, and more their boss of the day...

    • @abarratt8869
      @abarratt8869 Місяць тому

      @@neilpickup237 Well, we don’t know, though I can see a British Judge giving a quiet word of advice to one side that they might not enjoy his judgement he’s about to give on a case that ultimately hinged on their personal pride, rather than any major material facts.
      I can also see said Judge telling the other side that, in a case that was really only ever about the personal pride of the other party, cancelling orders and contracts (no matter the terms within) was not proper business like behaviour, and that as a company that depends on presenting the most proper of business images they’d probably not want the world to be informed otherwise.
      So yes, but effectively the judge was strongly implying that a change of personnel was required…
