Seeing them in a few weeks at Brisbane and can't wait for songs off thus album, just grinding it down with some of those riffs, Death Church is the ultimate!
I didn't realize it at the time why I was drawn to certain bands back in the day. Now that I'm a lot older I understand. It was the groove. And these lads had groove.
Agreed. That's why my interest in the band fell away when they took away the groove. Which was second album at the earliest. Although I always knew that Groove Metal was my favourite genre. Heaviness and groove, it can't be beat
Burn My Eyes is a textbook metal album. It has everything what’s great about the genre. What stands out most is the sound and production. Hasn’t aged a bit.
Say what you will about Rob Flynn or Machine Head, this record had it all. Perfect and original production with a very organic, yet pummeling sound and a lovely little layer of flanger on the guitars. Stunning guitar riffs stepping up the game Pantera started a few years prior to this release. Killer drumwork by Mr Kontos. You could tell some time was spent creating this masterpiece of a modern metal textbook.
Hard to believe this album turns 25 years old this upcoming August! It has aged well and still rocks. The production is nice and smooth. Andy Sneap is a beast.
this song deserve more views..but it shows my belief.how people are not musicaly educated and listening to garbage.Hail Machine Head. .fkin long time didnt listened it.brings good 'ol days back.
Each album is such a Metal masterpiece. What an epic band. (Even if "Burn my eyes" is , to me, their best album). Classic cult band in the Metal's Pantheon. The Machine Head sound will never gets old.🤟🤘
Saw this on a late night metal video show, first song of theirs I'd heard and I was blown away. Shortly after I read about a new CD called The More Things Change and went out and got it straight away. Didn't get Burn My Eyes until years later but I definitely had a cassette copy from my friend long before that lol
love this album! got to see them open for biohazard and slayer back in '95. henry j kaiser arena in oaktown. another great bay area basher!!!!!!! kontos kicked shit out of that drum kit!!
Damn I can remember when Burn My Eyes came out and instantly wanting to destroy shit pumped up and partying hard back then!!Still hypes me up today just calmed down the party!!🤘🤘Was so cool the way Rob looked so damn metal and hardcore!!
@YUNGMEXICANBEANER Actually, life is full of changes and dear brother, there's been plenty of that. Just look around. Not to mention that I've gone though many trials and tribulations. Even here by many enemies trying to take me out, especially in the early years and I'm still here. Long story but I'm a living testimony that only the strong survives but within the context of being an overachiever or hardworking and dedicated.
One of the greatest riffs I’ve ever heard 🔥🤘🏻
🤘🤟🤘🤟
Agreed
HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. That's why my interest in the band fell away when they took away the groove. Which was second album at the earliest. Although I always knew that Groove Metal was my favourite genre. Heaviness and groove, it can't be beat
GROOVE, GROOVE GROOVE,

Sickest groove in metal - that bass, the squealing guitars and then Rob letting rip. Perfect.
This song never gets old.
No pun intended.

Burn My Eyes is a textbook metal album. It has everything what’s great about the genre. What stands out most is the sound and production. Hasn’t aged a bit.

In the words of Public Enemy: Welcome to the terrordome my friend! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Listening to this album for the first time in 20 years and it hasn't aged one bit. Pure, heavy metal. Immense. Stand-out.
It´s just in your Blood when you hear it and never lets you go. A trustful Riff that remains eternally.
