LYRICS
I am the man that defends all things profane
6000 years is the time that I shall reign
And with a grin drank the blood of holy swine
Impurity made the blood turn into wine
Old man, dead hand
If only their insanity
The lie feeds off their greed
Jesus wept
I am the pain that feeds off your weakness
A sickening born of hate, not of the blessed
And with the time I will crush all things you prey
Destroying all from the known to the arcane
Burn my eyes and try to blind me
Bury me so they won't find me
Try to suck my power empty
Got no crown of thorns on me
So burn my eyes and try to blind me
Bury me so they won't find
Try to suck my power dry
You got no crown of thorns on me
Burn My Eyes will never get old.
I can't believe how a debut album can be that fkn awsome It stands high still
Seeing them in a few weeks at Brisbane and can't wait for songs off thus album, just grinding it down with some of those riffs, Death Church is the ultimate!
Correct, this is not old school thrash.
One of the greatest riffs I’ve ever heard 🔥🤘🏻
🤘🤟🤘🤟
Agreed
HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing!!! Totally agree
ONE OF THE MOST UNDER RATED METAL SONGS EVER!!!!
21 years later, this album is still good ("Burn My Eyes").
+Matthew Stephens There's nothing better than your first album.
Their best album without a doubt!! One of my all-time favourite albums.
This is one album i can play out, give it a rest, then bring it back all over again.. after 21 years of owning it.
its in my top 10 métal/hardcore albums of the 90s.
Matthew Stephens Music is forever.
I didn't realize it at the time why I was drawn to certain bands back in the day. Now that I'm a lot older I understand.
It was the groove. And these lads had groove.
I was in a blender of listen bands of my teenage and I was just thinking that though when I ran into your comments. Cheers.
Agreed. That's why my interest in the band fell away when they took away the groove. Which was second album at the earliest. Although I always knew that Groove Metal was my favourite genre. Heaviness and groove, it can't be beat
GROOVE, GROOVE GROOVE,
it's like adrenalin AND oxygen!!!
This is the kind of metal that gets your blood really pumping!
specially for workouts and racing
M Giovanni you know it, my gym playlist is mostly MH, Lamb of god and Slayer
Groove Metal!
I know that's right :-)
Man, if Kontos had stayed in the 'spotlight' more he could have been as iconic as Lombardo
Chris Kontos was an amazing drummer. Lots of groove and lots of technical ability as well. Dave McClain was great too - but Chris had a lot more natural feel.
The Drums made this album...search no further then Davidian for the proof...
Chris is definitely a beast on drums. Lars who???
His other band attitude adjustment was pretty good.
This song never gets old.
No pun intended.
I see what you fucking did there. I fucking see you.
Hard to believe this album turns 25 years old this upcoming August! It has aged well and still rocks. The production is nice and smooth. Andy Sneap is a beast.
BME was produced by Colin Richardson. But Andy is good too. :)
True the sound is seperated they did well recording it
Now it’s gonna turn 30 in 2024
Burn My Eyes is a textbook metal album. It has everything what’s great about the genre. What stands out most is the sound and production. Hasn’t aged a bit.
One if their best songs ! And Burn my eyes is their best album to in my opinion.
Say what you will about Rob Flynn or Machine Head, this record had it all. Perfect and original production with a very organic, yet pummeling sound and a lovely little layer of flanger on the guitars. Stunning guitar riffs stepping up the game Pantera started a few years prior to this release. Killer drumwork by Mr Kontos. You could tell some time was spent creating this masterpiece of a modern metal textbook.
That riff still pops in my head randomly after 23 years
Listened to this when I was 12...sometimes i can't believe how much of a good taste I had in music as a little kid...
now thats metal
God this takes me back to my sk8board days in the 90s🇺🇲
Listening to this album for the first time in 20 years and it hasn't aged one bit. Pure, heavy metal. Immense. Stand-out.
Classic album...I put this in the top 10 metal albums of 90’s easily.
Machine Head is the healing voice of the world! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
the drummer is a absolut beast
This is where the real rockers come to hang out. Whats up yall?.......Oh nothing just smashing everything in sight!
The Best Album of Machine Head
2024 e continuo ad ascoltarli come quando avevo 14 anni ora ne ho 44... Questo disco è un capolavoro!!!!!!!!
Best record they did ever
What an awesome adrenaline I can feel with this song.
Accidentally came upon this while working out and listening music. As a hip hop fan I can say this song fucking rocks !
In the words of Public Enemy: Welcome to the terrordome my friend! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
25 years later they're going on tour with this shit! Hellyeah!
It´s just in your Blood when you hear it and never lets you go. A trustful Riff that remains eternally.
Man, those drums are like a machine gun turret. DJ DJ DJ DJ DJ DJ DJ DJ
Mind blowing that this has so little views :/
One of the heaviest mh riffs
It really is old now,,30 years old.. and still kicks ass like nothing else can.
Robb kinda looks like phil anselmo in the reinventing the steel era
Well rather Phil looked like Rob. Burn My Eyes 1994, RTS 99 so.
@@BigBoss1982 RtS was released in March of 2000, but yeah point taken. Hard to believe Panteras last album was almost 20 years ago!
@@joshuayettou3552 yeah, harder believe that Pantera doesn't exist at all :( so sad end of one of the greatests metal bands ever :(
Joshua Yettou Phil had long hair and a beard in the Cowboys from hell era then shaved it to a Mohawk so...
@@BigBoss1982 Phil had long hair before that tho
Their best album, hands down. Things Change is great too
when Groove Metal and Drum and Bass becomes the future's music. Weird times.
im 36 today, and i feel like a teen listening to this old song.
no pun intended,
Christ spoke out against religion back then, imagine what he thinks about it now...
Greedy hypocrites.
or maybe people fucking change in 20 years? :O
Absolutely
What a banging main riff this one was/still is
one of the nastiest riffs to be ever made
Absolute Masterpiece!!!!!!
Literally almost all my favorite metal band were singed by roadrunner records
My favorite Machine Head song.
This album still kicks ass in 2020!!! Metal was so great then!
A fist in the face of the modern world!
Best sond ever.
One of the best metal album in the world
Agreed
Raw, powerful, heavy as fuck, crude. Just how a metal song should be
this song deserve more views..but it shows my belief.how people are not musicaly educated and listening to garbage.Hail Machine Head. .fkin long time didnt listened it.brings good 'ol days back.
Now that Dave has left, get Kontos back he is bad ass
Well he is back
Now he's back
See you in Brazil! 21 years after
#MachineHead are criminally underrated!
I've seen those guys in Ottawa few years ago, they were alone, no other bands, playing good 3 and half hours... Awesome show...
One of my favourite songs.
JESUS WEPT!
Sometimes you have that edge and ready to do business
Each album is such a Metal masterpiece. What an epic band. (Even if "Burn my eyes" is , to me, their best album). Classic cult band in the Metal's Pantheon. The Machine Head sound will never gets old.🤟🤘

This is awesome high school days..
Esse álbum é uma pedrada. Marco dos anos noventa!
these guys were awesome when they opened for metallica last year!
And still my favourite till this day..metal should be!
I love this
Bands who never really were the same after their great original drummer left.. Machinehead, Slayer, Smashing Pumpkins, Megadeth..
Slayer is still fucking awesome though.
Dave McClain is a HELL of a drummer.
@@joshuayettou3552 He's not Kontos though. Just compare live videos of him playing Davidian and Kontos doing that.
@@malonemuert agreed
Totally agreed with you my bro!
Best riff
25 anos , PARABÉNS M.H.
Relatively speaking, this great song/video has so few views. It is criminal that some of their later career songs/videos have been viewed more.
My favorite band of metal
Great song and sound!
This is definitely what I think of when I think of "Machine Fuckin' Head"!
These guys exploded to the scene back then ...
Tremendo batero papa
สุดยอดแล้วเพลงนี้ Machine Head
Easily one of the best anthems off 'Burn My Eyes'
