Currently recovering from surgery due to an injury I sustained from a Machine Head concert. 10/10 would go again
Surgery? What happened?
Definitely a wild pit
@@mikuspalmis Broke a nail
Must've been either a concert for Davidian, Imperium or Halo 🤣 Hope your'e recovering well man, get well soon.
If you got injured at a machine head show...youre doing it wrong.
They put on a great show, but it's not dangerous by no means
Rob: "Yes, It is about the Manson family murders."
Graham: "Cool."
I like how the obnoxious beep is louder than the talking, and more offensive than the words
Men i was just watching this video and then i put
Matt Heafy cover Through the Fire and Flames
And i watch a comment of you
Exactly Mate
Man the amount of Fact or Fictions episodes lately have been absolutely unreal! Awesome to see this show making a comeback! Great work Loudwire!
RC32 agreed. I think what they do is they record 15-20 episodes and then space them out over every Wednesday until they run out of episodes. Then they film more episodes and repeat the process.
Maybe! But I'm simply astounded and absolutely pleased when I see them interviewing these amazing musicians
Been waiting for one with Robb for a while
SpinalAlloy Ahh ye my ma. He seems like an awesome rocker!
*DO ONE WITH GOJIRA ALREADY*
YESS FOR FUCKS SAKE
They only speak Baguette 🥖 🇳🇱
"Alloh. Qui.. qui.. au revoir."
I hope these comments don't burn my eyes.
The more things change...
Me too or I'll never get to appreciate another beautiful mourning.
MJNation Not having eyes is really BLACKENING
@@yvesheinrich5013 You win. You fuckin win.
If someone messes with me, they're gonna get a white knuckle blackout.
I saw these guys live back in 2012, swear to god, he looks 10 years younger in this vid than he did back then
Does anyone at Loudwire actually edit the Wikipedia page after confirming fact or fiction from the guest? Just curious. Great job as usual Graham.
I discovered Machine Head seriously late... In 2020... I love this band and Robb Flynn. The music, the lyrics, of most of their songs are absolutely breathtaking. I love their old stuff, and really like the new. Also, I love Robb Flynn as a person, love the way he speaks, writes, and interviews people on his podcast No F'n Regrets. My favorite album is Unto The Locusts. What's yours?
Unto the locust is my favorite too 🤘🏻 it was between it and The Blackening for a long time, but Unto the locust grew on me more through the years.
The blackening
Burn my eyes
Burning red for sure I don’t care who hates it
I don't understand all the hate on Flynn.....Yeah he REALLY pushes his opinions to the point of where it's annoying, but he seems like a genuinely good dude who just cares about people and this planet. Maybe i'm missing something....lol
^Sheep. Baaaaaaaaaaaa
Adrian B. Uhm, what? ':/
@Jimmy Durex having a normal one there huh? lol
@@Whocareslol420 wherever someone disagrees with a liberal. They are called a nazi, and sometimes attacked. Rob is a woke ass libtard, actually I take that back, I believe it is more about trying to stay relevant, thinking if he says the key words more people will buy hid shit. I miss the days when most metal heads were libertarians or anarchist. The only I have heard Rob say that agreed with a long time is fuck Jeff sessions, but that is an easy one, and even a lot conservatives hate that fucker.
I think he just got beat up for being whyte so much he despises all forms racism, BUT, he likes to attack WHYTE racists only...odd.
Do me a favour. Stop the word censuring, or at least just put a silence instead of the loud beeps.
Peter Saints Or just replace the bleeps with pinch harmonics like on Metalocalypse.
Or they could just play the cuss words because it's not like we've never heard a bad word in our lives. God forbid someone cusses on a channel about rock and metal😤
James Jones while pretty much everyone would agree with you, they would be demonetized for doing that.
I don't think they're censoring it for moral reasons. It's likely to avoid their videos getting demonetized.
James Jones idiot thats how to get demonized
regarding Flynn's adoption, I think it would have been interesting to hear questions such as:
>"Why did your adoptive parents choose that name specifically?"
or
>"Have you reconnected with your biological parents?"
But maybe the author of the vid wanted to keep it STRICTLY in the *Wikipedia* field. Since the Wiki article does not discuss his "family", that's why these questions were left out.
If Lars Ulrich's snare could talk, it'd probably sound like Robb Flynn.
That's a rare insult
What xD
@Matt Beckley Thank you kind sir!
I was in the crowd at Bloodstock Festival last summer when Machine Head played their surprise set on the second stage. They played at around 2:45 in the afternoon, and it was probably the first time I'd seen the entire tent (where the second stage was located) completely packed out. They played as a 3-piece, cause Vogg was in Czechia with Decapitated, but they still absolutely brought the place down. The weather was upwards of 30 degrees celsius all weekend, so everyone in the tent was drowning in sweat already. I went down in the pit a few times, to the point where I was practically suffocating. Worth every fucking minute. Machine Head forever 🤘
I'm 3 years younger than Robb and I was also majorly into the thrash metal scene as a teenager during the 80's, and I heard Deep Purple's Machine Head when I was 10. Robb apparently wasn't very well-versed in hard rock and metal history.
Yet he knew all about Black Sabbath.
He’s FOS that he didn’t know Machine Head.
He's always kind of been a poser
Yeah imagine not listening every single popular band in existence.
THANK YOU LOUDWIRE FOR FINALLY BRINGING THIS TO US!!!
I have waited so long for this
How in the hell could anyone think "Night of Long Knives" is about anything other than the Manson-family murders? The first line of the track is "In summer '69..." and he actually says Manson's name in the pre-chorus.
ACDC did that song first!
Thought it was about Adolf Hitler killing a bunch of people in the SA
2009 Sonisphere was my first festival.. Still remember the roar of the crowd when their banner dropped down on the main stage before they came on with everyone still thinking they pulled out
Musta been ridiculously awesome.
now do Tony Iommi or James Hetfield
I second that! 👍
Iommi is a busy man idk, but Hetfield is a sellout so no Hetfield for now
Fidozo15 how?
To begin with, the price of the metallica merch
Fidozo15 merch prices, what a stupid thing to complain about, lmao.
I like MH, but LOVE Vio-lence. When Robb sang World in a World at the Sean Killian benefit concert, he sounded spectacular.
Please get Jeff waters
Yes please!
OOOOH YEES PLEASE
will he finally confess his ghost writes? Lol
Rip Dime oh hell to the yeah!!!
I was thinking during the interview "Rob Flynn is a Jeff Waters legend level"
Everyone at least in Europe associate term "night of long knifes" with historical fact from a III Reich. Period.
You should do one on Danny Carey & Dave Grohl. At different times of course.
I can't unsee him as Jack Black...
I think he looks like a young Kurt Russell.
You need glasses.
Max Cavalera looks like Jack Black. Not Rob 😂
@@leopardcubpupkryky6940 its the dimples
Say what you will. Rob Flynn is the man and I fucking love Machine Head!
I really like Rob, and since the first time I saw them around 15 yrs ago they have always put on a kick ass show.
Yea. I haven't seen them that many times, but everytime I have it's been a good show!
Plus, they only censor the "fucks" and not the "shits"
They're so good to see live!
If you got into guitar through guitar hero as a kid, then any drop tuning was your best friend at one time.
Rob is adopted? Wow, interesting
David Gómez yeah he is, he discussed it in 'Left Unfinished' from 'Through The Ashes Of Empires'
Tyler Quantrill I didn't knew that, I'm not that much into the band story, thanks
In the Left Unfinished lyrics he mentioned his actual real name.
David Gómez: I know a friend of mine from high school who graduated before me (I followed suit the following year), he is an adopted child who was raised and sent to school by the parents that adopted him, and (somehow?) served as an inspiration behind his aspirations as a musician and guitarist to this day. I heard albeit continually that he's busking somewhere in the city I live in now, hopefully. I also hope he's doing/working other odd jobs to keep him afloat. I really wish and hope the best for him 😊👍🏾
So, main point: props to Robb Flynn for being an adoptee, not making his family relations an issue (okay, maybe it was or it wasn't, but I won't (and may neither of ANY OF US) bother to have him specify), rising above any and every struggle and obstacle, whether or not his parent were or are still supportive of their son, and in the process still made it to the stratosphere of metal music superstardom ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎸 🥁🤘🏾
The way this is shot makes Robb look like he only has one leg. Fucking great guy though.
I first heard Machine Head on the Fast and the Furious soundtrack when I was 12. Crashing Around You was on that album. Been a fan ever since.
I first heard them live when they opened up for Megadeth. MH is awesome!
I saw them with Megadeth and Seven Dust in California, but I really got heavier into them when they starting writing the more epic stuff
Saw these guys last weekend and they crushed it. They played for like 3 hours at club reverb in PA, it was crazy.
“Facttttion... it’s a Fict!” ... Robb Flynn is a
fuckin’ cool guy!
Fuck yeah!! :D Been waiting for one of these with Robb Flynn for quite a while ;) Thank you Loudwire
If Robb really didn't know what Night of long knives was then something is wrong with american education system.
He probably forgot.
Fact or Fiction: you once spiked your hair, wore a ridiculous orange jumpsuit and jumped on the Nu Metal bandwagon?
The Holy Goalie Dont forget the cornrows.Biggest tool in metal!
mzw meathook said the guy with the Slayer profile image. Tracks like Stain of Mind by Slayer are just as much Nu Metal as songs like Desire to Fire by Machine Head. So... let’s judge by if we like the music or not. All this bullshit that we should all have the same taste is bullshit. My favourite Slayer album is God Hates Us All, not Reign in Blood. I prefer SuperCharger and the Burning Red over the Locust or the Blackening. I prefer Domination over Altars of Madness... just because it’s the opinion of the masses doesn’t make it any more or less true. If there should be a music scene that doesn’t care what the majority thinks it should be Metalheads.
@@timothy3660 I wish I could give a couple of hundreds of likes to your comment.
Tamas Ostrolucky thank you, let me share a song of one of my favourite Nu-Metal bands to show my appreciation ua-cam.com/video/57X8Abb2zZk/v-deo.html
@@timothy3660 hey bro, I didn't agree on the Nu-metal part but on every other part of your comment. I'm not a hater, I just simply dislike Nu-metal. But your comment had a deeper aspect going beyond any genre. It was about individual priorities and flavors. The Blackening is seen as one of the best albums of the millennia by the messes and "don't you dare to disagree!!!" Well, I do :) I would choose The Locust 10/10 times or The more things change album for that matter coz I don't care about what others think. This is was my perception of your comment. Cheers bro :)
Great interview. Nice to see you sober Rob. Rock on.
Get one with Deftones or Mike Patton!!!!
Screw the haters. Robb you have my props for sticking up for what's right. Can't wait to see you guys live this October. Keep up the awesome Fact or Fictions, Loudwire!
Didn't expect Robb to be such a softie.
Damn he’s a beautiful man.
pretty badass,yeah
Yes!
Mmmhmmm. I love those dimples!! Such a badass voice too!
Elaine nicholson 😂😂
And Rob too
Good to see him on one of these finally
CJ THY ART IS MURDER
Yesssss
The best interview with this guy.
Why are they blipping swear words all the sudden? Annoying as hell
Randpage I think it’s a UA-cam monetization rule.
Fucking annoying shit
Welcome to fascism....
Violence got into a fight with a gang - how apropos.
Machine Head has a pretty solid catalog of albums, i listened to quite a bit MH, the albums that were most memorable to me.. And, im sure other MH fans as well were.. The More Things Change, Burn My Eyes, witch to me are there Most heavy albums they have released still to this day...
Check out the new album
I really wish someone from SOAD would stop by at Fact Or Fiction.
Hey Graham a big thanks dor for this episode please bring John Petrucci of Dream Theater & Oli Herbert from All That Remains to this series. ❤️
Wasn't this recorded long time ago? Why wait so long to upload it only now?
Liked before I watched! HEADCASE!
Robb thank you🤘 for a great concert in Warsaw🖐️🤘
what the actual fuck. Rob has aged exceedingly well. Lucky bastard.
2:18 Graham is still like a little boy :)
Can't you get the guys from Sunn O)))?
I like happy Robb Flynn, not angry Robb Flynn.
about time!
Muchas gracias y saludos cordiales desde Mallorca para loudwire
Can somebody explain to me where is all the hate for Robb coming from?
ADAM It's some stupid shit, because he doesn't like Trump
From that one time in band camp where he said he loves jews and muslims but hates Trump. Its one of those could have just left it be but seems to be dealing with the blowback by not dwelling on that feeling and focusing on the positive. Seen them few weeks back and nothing really came up that was awkward. Cant say there was any political slant. Was a good night.
Hey Stallion Duck were you upset by Robb's nasty comments about your boyfriend Phil? The pussy is you who's upset by somone calling out Phil for being a prick that night. Phil even admitted himself he was dick. Robb Flynn is a beast.
He jumps on trends like crazy. He made two nu metal albums when the genre was popular, then changed to wearing battle-vests abd playing solos when it became cool again, now he's riding the sjw bandwagon despite being anti-pc earlier. Also, his latest album sucks. That intro with claps and lyrics about putting your middle fingaz in the air is one of the worst things i heard in music lately.
Art Hazard But the song itself is good.
Cheers to Robb Flynn from Machine Head. He's such a genius.
@Jimmy Durex lol
I was at that sonisphere gig
The only way these could get better is if you recorded them in higher quality. Even though it's 1080p it still looks a little blocky and blurry. 4k pls.
this guy ages like fine wine, sure he isnt related to Keanu Reeves
God I love Robb such a cool dude
Rob Flynn nearly tore Machine the fuck apart making this video. This is the heaviest and most melodic video he's ever made.
Ive been waiting for MH... awesome
MACHINE FUCKING HEAD🤘🤘🤘Greetings from a 49 year old metalhead latino in Norway.First time I saw you guys live was in Barcelona many years ago Meshuggah warmed up🤘🤘🤘seen you at Sonisphere 2009 in Barcelona and several times in Oslo Norway
I always wonder why Rob had a black eye in the Dynamo Open Air 1995...?
Who punch him before the show...? Or maybe someone threw him a grenade with the lock pin still on and hit him in the eye.
😂🤣😂🤘🏼
that sonisphere show of theres SLAYED...i lost my voice to halo....was my first and only time seeing them live. and i would DIE to see them again.....//\\//\\ACHINE HEAD \\M//
Finally! Been waiting for this one for a looooong time. Thanks Loudwire!
Ahhh, Rob DID mess up on naming the track. Ha! Knew it. I was always like, these are two different historical references here. Ha. Oh, Rob.
Literally one of the most epic live metal shows I've ever seen
I still can't believe Machinehead broke up
Even though MH jumped on the Nu-Metal Bandwagon for a couple albums I still dig "THE BURNING RED" alot but not "SUPERCHARGER" at all but maybe like 2 songs off of it. "BURN MY EYES", "THE MORE THINGS CHANGE" and "THROUGH THE ASHES..." are all badass records and also THE BURNING RED, even though alot of people would disagree on that one which I could give 2 shits about.
Mike Patton next?
Yes.
Does Graham own any other shirts besides the Behemoth one???
Do Shinedown next!!!!
I've allways loved Machine Head they allways carried a runt puppy feel, but the runt allways is the best of the litter. I allways felt Machine Head got the short stick as they were not recognizd as the talented musicians they are, and because of that they've had to scratch and scrape all the way through there carrers.
Do one with "MayheM"
Do Trujillo or Louiero
Love watching all these fact or fiction videos. Please make a Blackie Lawless Fact Or Fiction!
Waiting for a wikepedia fact or fiction with James Hetfield. Loving these vids tho
I don't get why Catharsis gets as much hate as it does. It's nowhere near as bad as Ministry's new album, and does have some really good moments here and there.
2012 in Poland some nice band called Slayer was playing before Limp Bizkit.
The guy's face doesn't fucking age! If anything he's looking younger.
Welcome to the early squad.
Also throwing grenades at a band on stage?!
Damn, he's great!
Fucking Love Machine Head!!
Same!!!
Fuck yes, this is so cool, thank you guys, another amazing fact or fiction season
Pls do Cj from Thy Art is Murder
Do the bleeps really have to be that loud? Their conversation is already too quiet to listen too at a low volume.
What's the name of the song in the outro?
"It's a fict!"
Now do Chris Barnes or Till Lindemann or Jonathan Davis
Pretty much skipped over his Forbidden / Vio-lence history : (
Kinda short interview too. I could have thought of at least 10 more questions.
Hey Robb violence enternal nightmare best album ever man seen you guys twice on torture tatics banned tour well worth it brother
My favourite series on this chanel
What a cool guy
Pliz, stop censoring!
This edition seems a little bit rushed in my eyes
