So should the main color be the same width on both sides of center with measurements mine is shorter on one side than the other

That depends on a few things. How you want it to look when you are done is the main consideration. The length of the guide feet and where the ring is located between them. I try to make it look symmetrical if I can. Thanks for watching !

Hey man I'm 33 years old ive been salmon and steelhead fishing my whole life. I have been wanting to build my own rods the last 10 years lol can I ask where you got your station from every one is telling me to get the kit from mudhole and when I checked it out it wasn't as expensive as I thought it i figured I could find something a little better and was just curious what you have and what other websites have stations or what you call the thread table and what its attached to? Any help would be greatly appreciated

This video explains my power wrappers. The thread carriage comes with the wrappers, or you can buy them separately. Mudhole is the best source for these types of tools. There are more expensive ones out there but not necessarily better ones.

Do the pink and blue threads stretching across the underwrap leave a visible bump or can it be burnished out?

You can burnish most of it out.

I don't think it matters. Especially if you are putting a thin coat of epoxy on before the over wrap
