I ran with your information years ago and my career and life has never been better. I made an LLC and have been seeing nothing but lucrative work for contractors
That’s great! It’s about to get much better! I remember starting out and It was tough to find contractor work. Those times are changing!
@@CrosbyTheNomadNurse In all specialties. People dont know that you can bag up easily with home health and hospice
@@Thenurse_jay tell me more about this
@@MrIowahawks77 I set up a single member medical services business. I approach healthcare facilities and agencies as a business who can staff a qualified nurse for them on a PRN basis
It’s a whole different talk business to business versus someone looking for full time employment
I have 3 positions I fill as a independent contractor (Home health, occupational and pharmaceuticals), I remember never being able to get into this long ago, now it's everywhere.
Yes! Me too! It’s about to be a very good thing for Independent Contractors in the future.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's good to see you once again. I do agree with your theory regarding nursing, however, I strongly believe the new generation is aware of the nursing salaries which are not a la par with other careers, with less responsibilities & less studies and overall higher salary. Wishing you for these holidays that your problems be less, and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door... Happy Holidays & Happy New Year ahead!!!
Yes I agree the younger generation has a great opportunity to really create change. I really hope the younger Gen see this video and think of the opportunities they will have. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to you!
Looking forward to more nurse informative videos like this. Thanks
In Canada, theyre trying to reduce the training for foreign nurses to practice here. Sounds fair but wow Ive seem some terrible nurses that were trained elsewhere(some great ones too so calm down). Maybe this would help fill the shortage for our populations but how would developing or less fortunate areas be affected? We are also hoping to see a dramatic change in how physicians practice. Clinics will close at like 10am because theyve reached the limit/day and lineups start at 530am to get a spot. Like you said, a lot is changing.
That’s very interesting. I think one of the strategies will be to hire foreign nurses, but in the end the nursing care will suffer as will the patients. That would be an interesting trend to watch and see what happens.
This! I’ve seen foreign trained nurses from 3rd world countries and they make so many mistakes they don’t know how to navigate out healthcare system. Lots of Filipino and African nurses they can work in nursing homes but they make too many mistakes in hospitals
Exactly, it’s the same in the US-lots of ‘contract nurses’ and they are weeding out American nurses-at the hospital I’m traveling at the last 5 hires were all ‘contract nurses’-hospitals don’t care about pt safety-there are so many dietitians, administrators and other office types that do nothing on the floor-NO patient care at all-they just hide in their offices, and the few who do they pt care (NURSES) are the 20% who do 80% of the work-sad
Agree 100% not to mention these foreign nurses take a low salary just for the opportunity to come to the USA to work which lowers staff salaries all together. They cause more damage than good tbh.
@@kanegrey7697 I spoke with my co-worker a ‘contract nurse’ and he makes about 3600-4000 a month and works 4 days a week-which is MORE than what I was paid in 2020 working 3 days a week, but on call everyday! Pls they get housing, scholarships-it’s the future of nursing-weed out the American nurses and bring in a WEF healthcare-you have crappy healthcare and be happy 🥸
Idk, I’m a travel nurse and last year there were 6 of us, this year it’s only me and a sea of ‘contract nurses’ that are one dollar cheaper than an American nurse-I see nursing going back to occupation rather than a profession. Hospitals are using federal gov agencies that import nurses from other countries-they are actually paid a few bucks cheaper, but get all kinds of scholarships and amenities that American nurses and travel nurses will never see. I love your ideas, but for me I’m getting out of nursing-switched to Accounting. So many top heavy office types and not enough on the floor-that’s what I see.
Yeah I def don't blame you! That seems to be the trend of hiring foreign nurses. BUT I don't event think that's gonna help much. Lots of opportunity Independent Contractors, and yes I think it will become an occupation
@@CrosbyTheNomadNurse thank you for your channel, I’m learning to gain skills in other areas thanks to your ideas on nurses creating their own businesses 🎉
I have a question, have you heard of nurses being independent and caring for patients in their homes or hospitals besides being a travel nurse? I am a private care nurse right now.
Absolutely! I know 2 nurses; Both are LPNs and are doing just that. In fact I get calls to my office about that service a couple times a month.
Do you know who Kevin Samuels is? He is deceased now, but he always talked smack about nurses, it was hilarious. My sister is an RN in a top pay location I am not going to mention but he had her down exactly 🤷🏻♀️🤣
Lol oh yeah I know who he is. I remember when he died. I think he was with a nurse when he had a heart attack.

China’s going to be over? Like there economy?
Yes economic as well as overall. Their demographics are in horrible shape from the one child policy. They’ll still be China, but much much less powerful in the next 2-5 years.
