Man, this job is a pain in the ass. And im doing another full brake service on mine next week. The life of a Doordasher.
Pain in the ass? This is literally takes like an hour max and its only something you have to do once every couple YEARS. Costs nothing aside from brake fluid 🤷♂️ long as you use high quality fluid like MOTUL it’ll last a very long time.
@@gilgonzalez5902 Easier now that i just bought a bottle pump and i just pump the brakes manually. i know there is all these freaks about air in the brake fluid...but give me a break... it is not an air tight thing anyway. I have not noticed a difference. in fact i notice less bubbles when i use the brakes then paying money for this gimmick.
Be sure to stick an oil pan or something under everything next time.. that brake fluid stains like hell

@@easywork2 This weak piece of crap is not getting any air out of the brake lines. You need to pump the brakes.
You should suck the old fluid out of the reservoir before adding new fluid so they don't get mixed and enter the system.

@@easywork2 I figured as long as you're at it, put all fresh fluid in it because you don't know exactly where the air bubbles are.

If you want to watch brake fluid replacement, watch the replacement on my UA-cam channel. You don't even need vacuum there.
I don't even recommend these things anymore- just get the cheap "one man" brake bleeder bottle with the megnet. You pump the brake fluid out with the brake peddle. It makes less mess and is cheaper. You never get all the air out using this tool and have to usually push it out with the brake peddle anyway. I can still use this tool to take some fluid out of the reservoir while filling in new brake fluid.
Unfortunately, as a car mechanic, I do not agree with your comment. The most effective method is always vacuum venting. We all like something different. This video serves as a tutorial, so I don't want to argue in the comments.
@@easywork2 I agree you showed us how this crappy tool works good. It's still a crappy tool. I have yet to see a steady stream of brake fluid expel from it. I have however wrecked it after first use because fluid get sucked into the other end wrecking the gun. Especially if you plan to pump the brakes at the end for a steady stream to close the bleeder. It's a piece of crap. I will never use it again for this and i will just pump it all into a bottle manually VIA brake peddle.
@@easywork2 Plus the bottle that collects the fluid is too small… what they want us to do…. Empty the bottle out 50 times as per procedure. What a big idea.
@@rebelcave8556 But you never get constant current. The vacuum draws air under the bleeder screw. The screw would have to be sealed, which is not realistic when it is allowed. So yes, you will still have air in the hose. On the contrary, if the air is vented by pressure, the hose will be constantly full (it should be).
Just look at the color and volume of the absorbed liquid.
You obviously don't know how this system works.
And also how some systems work with ABS that cannot be bleed manually.
@@rebelcave8556 Next time you have to do it according to the instructions in the video and you will have your brakes perfectly bled. This machine is not bad. It is a very good tool.
I would have definitely removed the old fluid from the reservoir and filled it with new fluid before starting this job.
This is bleeding brakes.It is not about changing the brake fluid.But of course I agree. :)
Your video is not correct there was no small tube inside the bottle connected
That tube is not even supposed to be connected inside the bottle. The video is correct.
@@easywork2 wow are you ever wrong I suggest you educate yourself. That tube must be submerged in the fluid to prevent air bubbles dude read an instruction manual once in a while before you do a video
There is a vacuum. This is not normal bleeding. This is vacuum bleeding.I know how it works.It is like a vacuum cleaner. The liquid cannot go back.Try to think about it. :)
@@easywork2 so your telling me the manufactures put that piece in there for absolutely nothing? I been a mechanic for 40 years and have done tons of brakes have you?
Oh, and what are the other seals and other tubes there for? You've been a mechanic for 40 years, but you obviously don't understand it at all.
