How To Change Transmission Oil | VW Sharan 1.9TDi 85kW PD [Skoda,Seat,Volkswagen,Audi]
Hello, in this video we will show a detailed and simple transmission oil change in the VW Sharan 1,9TDI 85kW PD (1995-2010).
The transmission is a 6-speed manual.
I recommend letting the vehicle warm up to operating temperature.
I recommend using a transparent container to see if you have damaged synchro rings. This damage can be seen as glitter in the oil.
In this case, there was nothing in the oil.
The gearbox shifts without problems.

Subscribed thanks for showing me that the car isn't as complicated as other owners make them out to be now you need to do a how to replace the clutches video lol
Thank you. Yes, I plan to film the clutch replacement as well. Although I don't think many people will be interested.
Well that job is gonna be left for someone else 😮 Do you need a radio code if you disconnect the battery? Think my civic needs a new battery but im afraid i wont get my infotainment system back if i disconnect. Cant see radio code anywhere
Hi, no you don't need any radio code. You can safely disconnect the battery.
I appreciate the vod. O tried this a while back ended up just buying another contol arm which was $350. I qould have saved $300 if successful which i wasn't. I ended up breaking the press i rented
Next time, try following my video and you'll definitely save money.🙂
My car has gearbox whine when going above 30mph in sll gears even if drop back in neutral will oil change help car done 58000 miles
Hi, changing the oil probably won't help. Is the noise audible even when you press the clutch?
@easywork2 Yeah makes no difference with clutch just present when going above 30 mph. Can't hear anything with radio on. I do get squeaky noise from gearstick in 1st, 2nd and 5th only dunno if this has anything to do with it ?
If the noises are coming from the gearbox, you will probably have to disassemble the gearbox or replace it.
I can stop watch these videos, I want to learn everything about Clio RS service, Now I know how to change oil transmission, Only I have a question How much time I should wait to change oil transmission? I saw you says 1 year or two but I feel a little confused. Thanks and sorry about my english I should parctice a little bitt more
I would say it's about your style of driving. If you use this car just for some spirited driving, once every two years will be fine. If you do some track days or hill climbs, i would recommend to change the oil every year. Also it depends on your budget.
@easywork2 Thanks for the advice I really aprecciate your time

They probably don't know. I certainly wouldn't give them money.Your car will work without coding. But I would definitely code them. I think there will be no problem in the ECU. Car still not working? I would need to see the error list from the ECU, freeze frame data, and live data.
Good aftenoon, I watched your video and think is interesting I have a Clio Rs EDC and I want to learn required maintenance, if you can I really appreciatte any advice you have for this car. Congratulations and thank you again. I write since México country

Thank you for your comment.
From where did you get the bolt pattern and torque spec for water pump of this engine? Do you have access to service manual?
Hi, I am a contracted auto mechanic so yes I have access to the service manual.
Thank you for uploading this video. Very few videos online for honda diesel cars. Seeing your video gave me confidence to do this DIY and it went absolutely smoothly. Thank you. If you get more opportunities kindly upload more videos about honda diesel cars
Hi, thank you for the positive response. I'll upload more videos about Honda diesel cars. I like to repair Honda cars.
Merry Christmas. How did you get the Camshaft pully bolt loose ? Its realy realy stuck on on my engine.
Hi, you need a 24mm open-end wrench. You need to put this wrench on the camshaft. According to the service manual, this bolt is tightened to 118nm. So you need strong hands and long wrench. It's ideal if two people do it. Watch 10:14 in the video. Good luck.
Hi, thanks for the video! Great video. Could you tell me how to reset ecu/gearbox only? I want the gearbox to relearn/reset adaptives after changing the gearbox oil. Thank you.
I don’t understand what do you mean by “reset”, but lerearning is shown in the video.
Great video, do you have the TCU order details i.e. part number and supplier website etc? Thanks in advance.
This is OEM partnumber 310321517R, i bought it from alibaba.
Hey its the opel astra k 1.6 with 110 hp same gearbox?
Yes it is 😊.
@ nice and did you use 2 liter or you can use 1.7 like u said in the video? can you tell me also the Original Part Number from the Oil? Thanks again🙏
Hi, all the information is in the video. Try watching it.
@ tyy
Hello, is it a same way to do it on Automatic gearbox also of 2017 astra k
Of course not. Do you want instructions on how to change the oil in an automatic transmission?
Thank you mate very good video. I have a question, mine has check engine that says check anti pollution system and it doesn't boost in 2nd 4th and 6th above 0.4 bar but in 3rd 5th it boost 1,1bar as it should by the costum program that I have done to the ecu. I check it with obd at renault and it says something about clutch 2 is it TCM or something else? They told me that probably is TCM. Can a TCM repaired from an electronic? Thanks in advanced.
If you don’t have boost on those gears it is possible that your clutch is done. I would try to put the car into race mode, and push full throttle from around 2000 rpm and watch if your rpm fluctuates. If so, your clutch is slipping and is done. If it is TCM and you want to repair it, it depends what is wrong with it, if you give it to specialized shop to repair it, then it depends if it is even worth it.
@easywork2 Thank you for your quick answer. At renault they measure the clutches by obd the first wad 10.7 and second 10.5 and they told me that I am in the half life of the clutches. They told me that as new they are around 7.4 and when they need change are around 13.7-14. In race mode it doesn't fluctuate the rpms going normally up but the boost cut around 0.4 and when I change to 3rd it goes to 1.1bar putting all the power to the road and when I put 4th again safe mode 0.4bar.
Even if you have enough material it doesn’t mean your clutch is good. You may have oil or grease on the clutch. But if it doesn’t fluctuate then it is probably good. I would probably return original tune and did some diagnostic while driving. I wouldn’t blindly change the TCM until it isn’t dead. There is a lot of sensors and some calculations inside ECU which can reduce boost. I don’t know if you heard it bad or they don’t know what are they saying, but when they are new they are around 14mm not the other way around.
Thank you! Very informative video.
Thank you for your comment. I am always pleased to receive such feedback.
Thanks

Does the engine have timing marks to be sure if its ok ? I didnt see in videos. Also be good to rotate engine manually and than check those marks...
Hi, check out PART 3 ua-cam.com/video/2UzFrPpYwMM/v-deo.htmlsi=U9ezStEBfz3XlmYH Checking the marks after rewinding the chain is very complicated. This is not a belt and after one revolution of the timing gear the chain is not in the same place.
Don't worry about replacing it. It's very easy. There is a mark on the pulley and the chain link is also marked.I would say it's almost impossible to get it wrong. I wish you a happy exchange. 🙂
@@easywork2 ok many thanks. I will report 😉
Fun fact: You had a Torx at the fill port. Ive had a 8mm Hex. It was also a M32 Gearbox, with a B 16 SHT gasoline engine.
Yes, I've seen this happen several times. Some car brands do it this way. I have no idea why.
I was planning to do this by myself but after see this video i am going to mechanic
Yes, it's a little more complicated.
why has a cdti engine gotsparkplugs???
A diesel engine does not have a spark plug. A diesel engine has glow plugs. In this case, the engine has glow plugs.🙂
What is the part number for the TCU?
Hi the part number is 310321517R
Nice video man, Did the rear discs and pads. Seems to be working fine but my handbrake was very loose to begin with, I adjusted the cable under the centre panel, it's a lot stiffer now but the the rear calipers won't brake while using handbrake. Have any idea?
Hi, based on what you're writing, your handbrake mechanism is probably stuck.Raise the vehicle and observe the movement of the cable. Focus on the movement in the brake caliper. If it is stationary, it is stuck. If it is moving, the handbrake must be adjusted.
@@easywork2 well, they worked perfect before the brake change. I can see that both cables have movement. I took a look at the caliper, took off the handbrake caliper from the actuation arm and tried it manually. When I move the arm manually and spin the disc at the same time it doesn't lock the brake until at the very end when I press very hard. So basically only the very end of the movement of the handbrake arm does lock the brake. Is there any adjusting in the caliper itself of this actuator arm?
@@obebodd5066 How much did you drive on it? The handbrake should adjust itself. If it doesn't adjust itself, you have to adjust it manually. Unfortunately, I don't have such a video on my channels yet, so try watching another channel.
@ om not sure what you mean by brake discs oil cap. Could you specify?

Hi, please write in English. Thank you.
Burning with a torch a bushing while installed on a suspension part which has to be RESISTANT is stupid. You basically change the structure of the metal and make it softer!
🤦♂️ You certainly won't change the structure of metal with 600 degrees. Don't comment on things you don't understand at all.
@@easywork2 check out at what temperature steel looses temper. You will be surprised to find out that 300°C is that limit you don't want to reach. Stop talking bs.
So you're telling me they cold weld it? These arms are welded in fixtures. A welding robot welds it. Then the surface treatment takes place. The fact that I heat the material to 600 degrees has absolutely no effect on the quality of the material. Do you even know what kind of steel is used in these arms?
@@easywork2 I don't know what type of steel is used. I have tried to do more research on this but this is a little bit out of my scope to be honest. If what you are doing is safe and "smart" receive my excuses. I would personally finda a more suitable way to remove the bushing. The torch is the last one. Cheers.
Of course, it is better to use a hydraulic press. It is best to buy a new control arm. It is not expensive. But I am trying to show that it can be done at home. Not everyone has a hydraulic press at home. I wish you good luck.😊
Just a question in this specific Honda motor, 2.2 i-ctdi…how do you know physically what is cylinder n1, n2, n3 and n4 watching the motor from the front side? It is alligned 1,2,3,4 from left to right? Where can I find this info from Honda?
Hi, It starts from the timing chain or timing belt.Of course, this is not always the case. But mostly yes.If the timing chain were on the right, it starts from right to left.
@@easywork2thanks man! Could you share a picture or something official about that numbering? I am talking about this N22A 2.2 ictdi motor, thanks anyway man! Really appreciated for your help and nice video 👏👏

A whole 2 litres will do great harm as the gearbox 2 main shafts will be partially covered by gear oil and this will stretch your synchro mesh on your gears, leading to crunchy gear changes in time with a costly repair bill.😱

Hello, thanks a lot for this video, I think it will help me 😅... Did you perhaps have an error like “check anti pollution system” or an error link with the P1862 error code ? Renault says that the clutch might need to be replaced (or even the gearbox) but I'm not really confident with this diagnosis...
I didn’t have that code but it is very common error when you have gearbox problem. But always try new battery first, those cars hate weak batteries.
can delphi prime fuel pump as well after replacing the injectors?
Yes but this car does not have a fuel pump. Only high pressure diesel pump.
