Yes this is correct. Plus when caught by this skeletal version of Catnap, it defaults back to his regular form for his kill animation. It's all in your head due to the gas
Another insane fact, that colorless version of catnap is the same monster that the kid in the VHS saw when the 2 adults were talking, and I think the kid’s name was Marie Payne, who was the same person who became mommy long legs, I guess that was the reason she feared catnap and the prototype so much
That was what i was thinking because they left her last name hidden but it might be a mislead due to the fact her mom's name in subtitles is "Ms Harper" and since people are often called their last name when used Ms or something like that so she would be "Marie Harper" or Payne is just the middle name like "Marie Payne Harper" or the switched up version "Marie Harper Payne" but idk about this yet.
Notice how when catnap first entered through the door, he was normal, but then he kind of vanished in the smoke for a few seconds and then turned into the nightmare version. The same is when the nightmare catnap kills you, his jumpscare shows his normal form.
i find it quite scary that catnap immediately releases the red smoke as soon as he finds you, never breaking eye contact once even after the smoke is thick enough to conceal him.

But armed with the lessons they've learned and the friendships they've forged along the way, they are ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead and continue their quest to uncover the truth behind the mysteries of Poppy Playtime.
The reason this happened was because in one tape, catnap had to be recalled because when children inhaled the gas they had violent nightmares. So this is why we hallucinate catnap in that nightmare form and hugged wuggy in the nightmare form as well.
In the end, the computer said to use the flare gun to shoot at this ghastly version of him, as it is a hallucination. As the player had breathed in much of the gas, which, another theory about how they can breath it in later, was maybe because they breathe it in much through the gas mask and got used to it. As this caused less, but more horrifying hallucinations throughout the game. As well memories are in black in white as of a 19’s picture could almost explain that the player, who was also a past worker, thought that Catnap looked like this ghastly version, and caused him to be slender and more horrifically scary, but for me, what I think makes most sense is: this ghastly version of Catnap was probably from the nightmares of the gas, causing it to also be a hallucination. I really hope some people will take their time to read this, as I had thought about these, but I also hope that this helps a lot, and maybe will be shown in the next short.
I thought at one point you did actually fell into a deep sleep, and the character was in a lucid dream you able to control their dream and able to fight and defeat CatNap. The deeper in your sleep, Catnap gets more scarier. The only thing that holds this up was that one tape, a child (forget the name) who was in a deep sleep saw the colourless monster but the mother didn’t. Honestly your theory makes more sense then mine.
Hot take on this but I personally think that the prototype ripped off catnaps old legs and arms and tail to sew on new and improved bigger ones as dog day is the first smiling critter in bigger form that is friendly and he is no where near as big as catnap so it leads me to believe catnap was the same size as dog day and the rest of the smiling critters but prototype changed him
Answer: Catnap doesn't really "transfrom", because the protagonist inhaled some of the gas before the mask on so we hallucinated(hope this helps!) Edit: 10K LIKES IN 8 DAYS?💀
I don't think the mask is meant to even be used during the fight, given how quickly Catnap appears you would have likely already inhaled the smoke Catnap emitted from his mouth before even getting the mask on, making it pretty much pointless to even use.
@@Ogishapur Except this can be assumed its due to the smoke because someone tried to see what happens to Catnap when the room is entirely engulfed in smoke and the models are just swapped out meaning the smoke is meant to be you hallucinating Catnap looking the way he does during the fight since he turns back to his normal appearance later on and conveniently there's no smoke to keep the hallucination believable.
@@cursedhawkins1305 even if you put a mask he still transforms and by the way protoype controls catnap deforming him into monster like in chapter 1 and 2
OHHHHH IN ONE OF THE FIRST TAPES YOU HEAR! One of the kids has a terrifying hallucination while going to bed after inhaling catnaps smoke, the one detail we got about this monster was that it was colorless. Maybe the monster she saw was catnap who looks normal to people who aren't breathing the gas but this withered gray version of catnap to those who are.
This may be right but the body changing is just a feature that Catnap has. Every Bigger Body Intiative victims have been given a purpose and, you may say, a feature. Mommy Long Legs was created to direct kids to places in the game station and was super elastic and Boxy Boo was made to carry things and was able to hide amongst other boxes. In this case, Catnap was created to spread Poppy Gas or the ”Red Smoke” to put more Bigger Bodies victims to a sleep state to then be experimented on later. His feature was also to CHANGE his physical form. You also at that point in game no longer have he gas mask because Catnap took it away from you during the dream cutscene in the counselor’s office, meaning the gas there doesn’t effect you, just like the gas hovering above the ground in the boss fight. I hope this helps 😊.
Hallucinogenic gas. The red smoke dows that, its mentioned that it happened to one of the kids in one of the earlier tapes, and his scary form vanishes after you ignite the gas at the end of the boss battle
Well it is a hallucination. When Catnap is trying to get to you in the safe room he is in that form, yet notice when Catnap catches fire after dropping from the ceiling and dies and see how he is in his normal form. It’s just a hallucination
Catnaps stitches: Hot take on this but I personally think that the prototype ripped off catnaps old legs and arms and tail to sew on new and improved bigger ones as dog day is the first smiling critter in bigger form that is friendly and he is no where near as big as catnap so it leads me to believe catnap was the same size as dog day and the rest of the smiling critters but prototype changed him. Also on CatNaps normal appearance the stitches are around his limbs and no where else.
This is actually what happened:In the poppy playtime ARG,a scientist(forgot the name) said that catnap can change his appearance and change his skeletal structure, and when he comes out of the red smoke,we know things get serious.Hoped this help(gosh I never have gotten these many likes thank you🥹)(almost another 100 likes in the next day holy smokes😳)(thank you for 200 likes🥹)(ok guys I think this is enough likes)
I doubt Catnap is able to make changes to his body that drastic. He also lost all his hair. Funnily enough, when there's no red smoke, Theo becomes his normal form again.
@@hrnsnfhsjddhsjfnsmjdjsd-xs9sethey’re lying to your face. he can’t morph his body at will. None of the toys can. What he’s doing is using weaponizing his gas as a fear factor. Making us hallucinate and see him as that; This can however be disputed considering it’s mentioned that children from the vhs tapes and records witnessed catnap in an odd state, leaving the children mentally scarred and unfit for testing.
Poppy playtime took notes from Trevor hendersons work and was like "Yeah we can do somethint with this, BAM LITERAL CARTOON CAT, BAM HUGGY WUGGY IS NOW TOOTHY WOOTHY!
All right, so reason why he transforms is because in one of the tapes there was a woman that was talking about her kid with the cat plushy. She said that her kid was with the catnip plushy, and she saw a pale cat, like a pale something, and she also said that she was flopping around like she was all having a stroke and catnap does this, so he can catch you cause he's supposed to really actually make you fall asleep, but for some reason on the last scene, he didn't fall asleep from the gas. We don't know why
that is actually not correct at all! there was no catnap plushy? it was catnap himself in the room administering the red smoke. she says "The children were sleeping and catnap was in the room with the red smoke." it also was not her child, it was a child of playcare (not sure why she refers to her as "my little girl" but whatever), and all of the children are orphans. you are correct that the smoke makes us hallucinate a nightmarish catnap, as does everytime we inhale the gas. The gas works differently on adults than it does children - with children they fall asleep, but with adults they vividly hallucinate. hence why we never fall asleep when we inhale the gas, but we do hella hallucinate.
@@ambabey0330 we actually do fall asleep when we initially inhale the gas because after the huggy jump scare we "wake up" on the ground just inside of home sweet home right afterwards, if we were just hallucinating then why were we still in the entrance there and why were we on the ground afterwards?
@@ambabey0330 to furtherly prove this, the child who had the hallucination was a girl named Marie Payne, who was the child used to create exp #1222/ Mommy Long Legs. And if the company were to just take someone else's kid who wasn't an orphan, they'd most definitely be sued and investigated.
When the player inhales the gas, you will hullusinate that he looks like this, so he didn't transform, he actually still looks the same. But with gas, you will hallucinate him scarier.
Me personally I think that normal purple catnap is creepier The big pale one is doing a lot to look scary, while the normal catnap is creepy because of how simple he looks, yet still being unnerving, and how he feels like what he is, a predator that hides, hunts, and kills, and not some skeletal cat demon
Another weird fact i think is happening rn: Well if i may say i think the metal hand is getting pieces for a New and more evil Poppy Playtime character let me explain. So first as you saw Huggy Wuggy fall down we never know what happend to his body right? I think the faild experiment (the metal hand) grabbed his body and started to take revenge by using it. Second you saw Mommy Long Legs getting half of her body crused later you saw the faild experiment (the metal hand) grab her head and took her away making her the second part of the New character. Third you saw CatNap get killed by the faild experiment (the metal hand) Just to make sure i know not much abt the New chaper but as you saw he took CatNap away too use his body to make part of the New character. Last for what i know you saw DogDay get eaten by CatNaps cats ig but you may think "But CatNap was killed right?" Well i think the faild experiment used CatNaps body to make DogDay on its (the metal hands) side to take revenge on all the humans ever lived for not making it (the metal hand) special too! So of they make more Characters the faild experiment (the metal hand) adds them to its (the metal hands) final form making it (the metal hand) the final boss/the last chapter. Weird plot twist i tought of right?
In the ARG, it says that CatNap is able to contort its body in size and shape. This means that catnap can alter its height and shape, meaning that it simply just altered its body shape as a "crazed" form, like mommy longlegs and her big black beady eye form
"earlier in the game, we inhaled the red gas and end up *hallucinating* this nightmarish looking huggy wuggy, and this is probably the same thing happening right now."
@@Lunarcreeperits a short.. so its no longer than a minute. I dont play poppy playtime or watched gameplay of the current chapter so i wouldve assumed it was mutation and not hallucination.
The red smoke makes the player hallucinate, thus seeing the “hypnagogic” form of catnap. In reality, this form doesn’t exist, he’s just regular catnap.
@@ezc_d2yt329 If youre watching it through gameplay, the actual video itself can be watched on UA-cam and he very much has his grotesque boney structure.
Btw hallucination Huggy wuggy doesn't kill you, because Huggy wuggy is dead and prototype got him and he's not existent. Catnap kills you, because u saw him 1 second before hallucinating and he's real. Hallucination Huggy wuggy isn't real while catnap finds you and makes you hallucinate him being a monster
He is the bigger body exclusive to project playtime, the devs included him to show that ALL toys (including the ones we haven’t seen yet in Poppy playtime) did a revolution
@@Kevin_Ramirez2020Bron must've done something because in the chapter 3 teaser is shows a sequence of toys: Huggy Wuggy , Mommy Long Legs and then Bron and many people thought Bron was going to be the antagonist but then people thought Boxy Boo was the antagonist and it turns out... CatNap was the antagonist
The ARG actually showed us a research paper that said that CatNap is made out of a rubbery material similar to Mommy that allowed him to alter the size and shape of his body
in the toy versions of them, the zippers are how parents can change out the scents that each of the smiling critters comes with (Ex: Catnap is supposed to release a lavender scent) I assume that when they created the Bigger Bodies they kept the zipper to keep with character design
@@yes57373 Nothing really changed in that transformation He only got skinnier and his mouth changed Maybe He's flexible and can hide that mouth in the suit
@@ImNotMrNooby what youre saying is extremly ridiculous, he got a lot bigger, even his skeleton got bigger, what youre saying has absolutely no evidence to back it up, only against it

The only main antagonist that didn't distort was mommy long legs, I wonder why, my theory is that huggy wuggy might not actually be dead and so this gives catnap the ability to distort his body as a fake version and since mommy long legs is dead, she can't be used as a distorted hallucination version, this is just a theory.
Huggy's dead. His head was dismembered on a spike in one of the CH3 teaser trailers. I think the reason why we saw Huggy but never MLL, is because we were around Huggy more, when we still worked at the factory.
@@hrnsnfhsjddhsjfnsmjdjsd-xs9seYeah, and Huggy was the start of it all, so it’s only fair to include him in the third (and second) chapter. He might show up in some way in the fourth chapter too.

The player is supposed to lose the gas mask in the counselor office (your gameplay having it is most likely a bug) So the player inhaled the red gas for the third time right before the boss fight and that is why Catnap “transformed”

My headcannon is this doesnt happen, it's a dream and you fighting catnap is the protagonist fighting off the gas Yes I know catnap dies irl just ignore that

That’s what I’m sayin
Catnap for real said
“Gotham, this is your final warning”

@@RealElder who cares, it makes sense, :D
I thought at one point you did actually fell into a deep sleep, and the character was in a lucid dream you able to control their dream and able to fight and defeat CatNap. The deeper in your sleep, Catnap gets more scarier. The only thing that holds this up was that one tape, a child (forget the name) who was in a deep sleep saw the colourless monster but the mother didn’t. Honestly your theory makes more sense then mine.
@@bubbles9829 why thanks! But it’s an amazing thing to think things through!
Youre right, another evidence to back this up is: nightmare catnap has no jumpscare, the jumpscare is just normal catnap
I just noticed catnap has stitches
Hot take on this but I personally think that the prototype ripped off catnaps old legs and arms and tail to sew on new and improved bigger ones as dog day is the first smiling critter in bigger form that is friendly and he is no where near as big as catnap so it leads me to believe catnap was the same size as dog day and the rest of the smiling critters but prototype changed him

Answer: Catnap doesn't really "transfrom", because the protagonist inhaled some of the gas before the mask on so we hallucinated(hope this helps!)
Edit: 10K LIKES IN 8 DAYS?💀
That's literally what he said in the video
We did not hallucinate follow the game lore. Every monster has its each transformation like huggy mommy and cat nap

The final Catnap battle was the most non creative thing in all game
bro its literally as simple as fnaf 😭
It's just a sit and survive sequence. I will give it points because it's not just another chase.
The question is: Why did Catnap even do that in the first place. I thought he only attacked people who opposed the Prototype.
I think that cat nap was the "Colorless being" that was mentioned in that one tape

Don't spread misinformation
that is actually not correct at all!
there was no catnap plushy? it was catnap himself in the room administering the red smoke. she says "The children were sleeping and catnap was in the room with the red smoke." it also was not her child, it was a child of playcare (not sure why she refers to her as "my little girl" but whatever), and all of the children are orphans. you are correct that the smoke makes us hallucinate a nightmarish catnap, as does everytime we inhale the gas.

The big pale one is doing a lot to look scary, while the normal catnap is creepy because of how simple he looks, yet still being unnerving, and how he feels like what he is, a predator that hides, hunts, and kills, and not some skeletal cat demon

dude ur so underrated ur gonna get famous
not really
you are getting so popular dude! good job!!!!
It does make sense because when Nightmare CatNap jumpscares you, he turns back into his regular Bigger Bodie form
Another weird fact i think is happening rn:
Well if i may say i think the metal hand is getting pieces for a New and more evil Poppy Playtime character let me explain.
Cat is taking a nap
Dog is having a nice day 👍😅
In the ARG, it says that CatNap is able to contort its body in size and shape. This means that catnap can alter its height and shape, meaning that it simply just altered its body shape as a "crazed" form, like mommy longlegs and her big black beady eye form
My guy, it's hallucinations. How much red smoke did you inhale to make this?

I think the red gas is his energy source so when he uses it his skin droops and he needs more time to get the gas back
its not, thats not his skeleton
hes just slender as fuck
and also thats an illusion
Ik why. Here’s why: when he’s in the red smoke he turned creepier and when he’s not in the gas he’s kinda less scarier
The red smoke makes the player hallucinate, thus seeing the “hypnagogic” form of catnap. In reality, this form doesn’t exist, he’s just regular catnap.

Catnap kills you, because u saw him 1 second before hallucinating and he's real. Hallucination Huggy wuggy isn't real while catnap finds you and makes you hallucinate him being a monster
This makes me feel like the gas is similar to scarecrow’s fear gas
whats Boxy Boo's role in all of this though he mustve done smth to be a part of the hour of joy VHS tape and project playtime
He is the bigger body exclusive to project playtime, the devs included him to show that ALL toys (including the ones we haven’t seen yet in Poppy playtime) did a revolution
Then what was Bron doing all this time?

CatNap was the antagonist
The ARG actually showed us a research paper that said that CatNap is made out of a rubbery material similar to Mommy that allowed him to alter the size and shape of his body
He can't make that much drastic changes in his body like that
@@LuckClover1 It probably plays some roll, they seriously under used the size changing aspect of catnap

Does that mean he's wearing an outfit and he transforms into this version by taking off the outfit
Thats cap, that giant monster wouldnt fit in a suit, dogday is a suit too, but that means nothing, playtime co just used a suit on the experiments
in the toy versions of them, the zippers are how parents can change out the scents that each of the smiling critters comes with (Ex: Catnap is supposed to release a lavender scent) I assume that when they created the Bigger Bodies they kept the zipper to keep with character design

I have a theory. Catnap ran out of gas inside his body so he looked like a dead body of a dog.
