Loved the Christmas song, and games made by single devs in the highlights. I largely played Balatro and Songs of Syx this year. Keep up the rat hole, wishing you guys success.
Great video as always. I love that you record your script with your partner in the room, their reactions and comments really flavor the video, you are just so cute together!
Marvel Rivals popping off is pretty funny after seeing some people adamant that Concord flopped because people are bored of hero shooters. The even funnier part is when they back pedal to it being a paid game as the reason, because I then point out that Concord had a free open beta that anyone could play but no one did lol.
Helldivers 2, the best multiplayer game you cannot play if you're not in a Sony approved country. Seriously, most of my friends got refunded because Sony. It's kinda sad because I genuinely thought it was fun, now I can't unfortunately.
Where’s veilguard? I heard that was a game. Loved the list. Shadow of the erdtree was one of the only new games I played this year and kinda by default my favorite. But it also was a ton of fun and made one of my favorite games bigger.
From what I heard Concord mostly failed because it was just a boring, bad game. A lot of games are woke, Baldur's Gate 3 is loved by everyone it seems.
I would say that isn't accurate, the gunplay and gameplay were actually very solid, the people behind that part of the game did gunplay and gameplay for Destiny 1&2 so not really a surprise. Concord just didn't have an interesting gimmick, and its visual design and vibe was terminally uncool. If it wanted to compete it needed top tier instantly visually iconic characters that people could get excited about like how Tracer was the face of overwatch back in the day. Whoever did the visual design work for Concord was too wrapped up in a toxic positive tumblr bubble telling them their work is perfect, and didn't understand that these designs need to have a lot of iconic visual appeal to compete for gamer's attention.
Don't worry they'll bend over backwards any moment now to tell you the weak silhouetting, inconsistent visual design and lack of gameplay innovation was DEI's fault somehow.
I don't think that word means what you think it means. Pleasantly surprised to be wrong in this instance, it's an argument I've seen made ad nauseum however and have sadly come to expect.
I always keep my vids brief so inevitably I've missed a lot that merits a mention. Feel free to plug the games that made your 2024!

Needs more Unicorn Overlord. One of the finest SRPGs of all time.
You found the time!
Just commenting to say that I appreciate that PoE2 gameplay in spite of it not being mentioned. Hopefully the full release makes 2025 delicious.
I’ve absolutely adored my time with POE2 so far, its exceeded my expectations. Glad someone picked up the little shout out

I considered it briefly, but you pretty much covered everything there is to say about Veilguard.
Here because I love short, snappy content that I can easily digest.

@derpherp7432 So it wasn't Wokeness, as usual.
