I have an old gravity feed and expansion system. Would this sort of thing go in the cupboard with the hot water cylinder and pump or in the kitchen with the boiler? Nevermind, I found it on Adey's website. Return to the boiler is recommended, before or after the pump are OK, from the boiler up to the header tank is not OK. I might have to stick it after the pump, in fact after the 3 port valve as that's the only place I seem to have a long enough bit of exposed vertical pipe and space for the filter.
also, you don't need an adjustable spanner, if you look on the grip you have one large side for the top and on the other side you'll see a smaller grip for the flow valves
Decent video. Gasket seal wasn't checked for debris or cleaned and a silicone or Vaseline on the rubber seal is necessary for a good seal. At least you were bleeding the air a little bit.
You should turn off the valves then bleed the magnaclean first then take of the lid then clean the magnet and gasket seal and put vaseline on the rubber to make it Seal better and you should drain all the rest of the water out of the magnaclean and put in mc1+ protector in then put all back together turn on valves and the bleed the magnaclean the best way to do it
Thanks. Looked at your video then did this job ourselves in 5 minutes!
Very Nice, very useful, in every six month I watch this video and clean my MagnaClean, Thank you very much.

clear informative video... thanks
Don't forget to disconnect the filling loop :-) Good video.
Should have opened the bleed valve on the top to release the pressure before unscrewing the top.

On the other end of the tool for unscrewing the top the is a smaller spanner for the valves and the drain bolt on the bottom.
Very useful, cheers! And thanks for the bloopers too :)
Keep making videos. They are excellent
Thanks for video... I sorted mine out thanks to your advice
If you open the bleed vent at the top and water stops, your valves are shut and you can safely open it.
who fitted a 240v socket directly below a boiler and pipework?
It's on the right to the boiler atleast a foot
Good, but could be better if you could focus camera to the filter.
re: Bloopers - wanna be a TV presenter? don't give up your day job mate!
5 years and still no likes? 😂🤣
5 years no likes, don't give up the day job
Why the music
Very helpful, well done
shame about the condensate drain, who installed that.
Thanks v informal video found the end funny too
why do so called professional plumbers/heating engineers undo/tighten things with a nut or bolt head on them with pipe pliers ?????
Be a lot better without the music!
why and what is that music doing, annoying. but thanks it was a good video.
Nothing wrong with sounding “gay”
THOSE STUPID FILTERS ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OVEREXPENSIVE!! Cost maximum 2$ to make and sells for 100!
