I learned to play drums to the song back in nineteen seventy Five I had all three sisters and they danced like you Play your video all Cheers me up. Thank you❤
being i grew up in the same era, i will make this comment.... the sloopy girl was the ideal dream . women today arent even close to our days . im very glad to say i grew up in the best era in history and beyond .
What great fun to find that a lovely young girl who danced in 1975 with such unaffected joy is still today all these years later a beautiful woman who emanates unaffected kindness and joy with every word she says. I'm a fan!
Lisa pretty basic for you is unbelievably beautiful. You have that California girl next door look that cant be bought. It comes natural. You either have it or you don't. And you definitely have it!
Lisa Leonard Dalton, you have touched millions of Souls in this world without saying a single word-- that is the very definition of Charisma 💜💜💜 It's such a massive cherry on top to discover that, in real life, you actually Far Exceed the persona that beautiful young woman portrays in the music video 🍒 God Bless You and Your Family 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻❤🙏🏻❤
It’s September 2, 2023…Hope Lisa comes back for another visit to see all her fans…thanks for the memories Lisa…when the film was made staring Rick and yourself, I was 23. I was 13 when Ricks hit was on the charts…the 60’s and 70’s were the best of times…God Bless.
What ever they told you to do or not to do and what you did was perfect!! I have lost track of how many times I have watched this video!! It's like a shot of feel good medicine!
I was 13 years old and was so impressed by the MaCoys and the beautiful dancer. And now I am even more impressed to see a beautiful mature woman with two dog souls. I have three. They are the better people. Best regards from Austria.
Such a beautiful person down to earth she’s a credit to the music industry, far better than all these modern jumped up, so-called popstars and celebrities The McCoys Snoopy girl it’s one of my favourite songs. Thank you Lisa
Ms. Lisa not sure if you still view comments but what joy you and the song still bring to my heart. Music from the era is part of our national heritage and some of us are so very grateful for what others have done. Only wish I could bring such joy and happiness to so many others. God Bless you and your family.
Wow, she is still so beautiful :-) I remember the song from when I was a kid hanging out at our neighbors house and playing 45's :-) I only saw the video much later in life and I was blown away. Truly an American Dream Girl !!!
Lisa saw you dancing on Facebook reels and searched for "the sloopy girl" on youtube which brought me here. I was 19 in 1975 also. My college girlfriends never danced like you. Truly great moves!
Lisa and I are the same age. I clearly remember when the song first came out in the 60's and recall the re-release. I ended up dating a "Sloopy Girl" clone and it was a great time of life for me. I've been with my best Sloopy Girl now for 37 years. We are still shaking it up like the original video. 🥰❤ Thanks to Lisa (also my sister's name) for the great lasting memories in a time long past that was so much fun.
I absolutely loved everything about the video. If I could sum it up with one word, it would be authentic. The raw footage, dancing, unpretentious nature give it a 100% 70s vibe. Those are all great and definitely capture your attention. But it’s the little things that make you fall in love with Sloopy. That I’m not hard to please smile that you see on her face and exudes through her body. Even today as I watched her speak, that genuine personality still shines. Thank you Lisa for lighting my day with that Sloopy girl glow
Hi Lisa! So cool that you’re an animal lover! I do animal rescue even at 71 yrs old and have done it for most of my adult life! My house is loaded with rescued dogs and cats! I remember when the McCoys sang the original Sloopy but am not familiar with the 1975 version. I was married with my second child on the way! Funny how quickly life changes in a few years when you’re young! I think you’re stunning Lisa! Never stop dancing!
I was 10 in '65 when the song was released. One of my all time favorites. However, I had never seen the video until it popped up on Fb tonight. Great video and great moves. The '60s and '70s produced the best music ever.
Hi Lisa. Your Sloopy music video popped up on my UA-cam this week and I just have to say what a wonderful gift it was. It took me back to 1975 with a flood of great memories and your dancing was the best part of the video even though the song is great too! I quickly shared it with friends hoping that it would bring them joy as it certainly made my morning! Thank you!
Listening to your video, I realized we had a little similarity. I was 10 in the early 70s. My mom introduced me to music. We got a stereo for Christmas. She bought me cassettes, Elton John, Wings, Carly Simon, Jim Croce, George Harrison…I was listening to music at a early age like you! I love all kinds of music and I keep up with all the new music. Lisa thank you for letting us in on your life. Wishing you all the best! keep on enjoying life and dancing! Prayers for you and your family!
Starting with the next appearance by Lisa she has a new camera that does really clean and crisp looking videos. That is a tech upgrade to her channel coming soon. In her next video, since there have been so many questions, Lisa will now reveal where the Sloopy film was shot....the exact Hollywood backlot and its history. Pinpoint accuracy this time. The time is right. This next video could be her most interesting so far. Lots of movie nostalgia for everyone.
I am so happy to see these starting to come out. It was great doing research with you and I am still ashamed of myself when I didn't believe her and I was vocal about it. I hope she forgave me. It's been great interacting with you Steven.
@@elle45789 Thanks Elle. Glad you like it. Lisa and I are working on a video where she step by step takes people through the backlot studio where the dance film was shot. It will be fun and good. Lots of famous movies and TV shot there.
After all of these years wondering who the Sloopy girl was. Now I know. You looked beautiful then being basic and still beautiful now. Thanks for the video and special thanks for rescuing your dogs. Our furry friends need us.
I didn't realize that this is YOU! I have never seen any woman dance that song like you did it, including my wife. She said she could but...no way! I hope you've had a wonderful life so far! Thank you.
Wd...Just as reference...the original song came out in 1965 when Lisa was 9 herself. The Sloopy remake with the dance was 1975. So Lisa was 19 and you would have been 18 when she danced.
I typed in the "Sloopy song" and saw your name pop up and it brought me to your channel, back in the 70s in UK id often hear the song and totally forgot about it,so its great to find it and of course yourself, super uplifting channel and great nostalgia, thanks for a super upload, best wishes to yourself, family, friends and fellow viewers.
Thanks for sharing with us!! I'd be very interested to hear your reactions about various recent beauty standards, for example. So glad your healthy, natural look got so popular & contributed to culture ♡◇♡
Hi Lisa, I’m 9 years your Jr but I recall the 70s and the music. We lived on the plains of Colorado in a small town that was very un California so it’s fun to relive this time and I now live in California and realize the world is a lot smaller than it appeared in the 1970s.
True...Lisa has a warm and friendly personality. And add to that a fascinating story. Still lots of unpublished info about her memories of the day of the dance in 1975.
Have you ever been to Ohio Stadium to watch a game? I graduated high school in 1975 and have been attending Buckeye games since I was 9 years old and remembered this iconic song from way back when. The band has a big yellow banana that says, “BEAT BLUE” in it and one band member gets another on his shoulders and they really get the fans going! Beat Blue refers to TTUN, AKA Xichigan. Smile!
Hi, I happened upon this, and happy I did. I love watching you dance, you’ve got great moves and are very beautiful. I really loved meeting your dogs too.

😊🫶. You danced in such a carefree genuine way it was as if that song was created for you alone. 💃❤
Still just as Beautiful today as 1975!

No but she has aged well. Still gorgeous but just older.

I agree she is just as beautiful, with personality to match! 😊
She’s a beautiful woman, no question about it. But anyone can see that she’s not 18 years old anymore. But she’s still a Beautiful Woman.
Lisa is still stunning after all these years. That's one lady that aged well.
I'm 67 years old and I just fell in love again! Thank you Lisa. Had MTV been out and had it been the 80's you would have killed it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
