Thanks for the video, Bought a Honda Cr-V and mechanic didnt check the condenser and now i know why the A/C does not work and why it holds no pressure. Condenser looks like its had a tree hit it! Shame you are US based but even looking at the parts site tells me i am looking at the right replacement part. Will be using this video to replace the condenser when i get the new part. Hoping the compressor is okay but can't tell that until i get this replaced. Thanks again!
Great now just have to do my A/C compressor !!!! Hope youll have some upcoming videos for your your bro (; LOL GREAT JOB ON THE CONDENSER ! By the way, are you supposed to put oil in the condenser or not? I see lots of conflicting videos.
I'm going to ask a stupid question. Is the other condensor like thing behind the ac condensor , the radiator for cooling the engine ? these are two separate things right ? And why is the ac condensor placed in front of the radiator (if that is a radiator). Don't the radiator also need cooling from the wind ? isn't the radiator being blocked by the ac condensor from getting air ?
So the Hanes manual saids to add almost a ounce of pag 46 but doesnt specify where to add, also UAC never sent instructions, any recommendations? 2006 crv lx, replacing condeser, expansion valve and evaporator along with flush. Any help is appreciated thanks for posting.
Man that’s crazy I just bought a 2002 Honda CRV Salvage title and you just put this video out in 2022 it’s interesting to see the amount of rust damage in this car compared to mine being in South Carolina this must be From somewhere up north where salt is a problem
If I do this myself will have to take it to shop to have the system properly evacuated to remove any moisture from the system or can I just refill it with one of the off the shelf AC recharge kits that include the bottle and attached hose and gauge?
You should vacuum the system to remove any non condensable gases. However the service valve on the car is not compatible with the normal gauges so I’m not sure how you can vacuum the system. I think if you just put it in without vacuuming you will still get good cooling capacity but efficiency will go down but it won’t matter since you will be cooling such a small area

This isn’t nearly as bad as most cars I see in Michigan lol

I will now forever call a locating tab a "hookie-doo"
Can a rookie really do this? Asking for a friend
well done !
Jeesh. My mechanic charged me $700 for this job!
Was that just labor or parts too? And was it just the condenser or whole unit?
