Thanks Chad, great info. I see daily so many of these crucial but easy steps bypassed by inexperienced techs just to hurry and get the job done. Ultimately, bypassing these testing procedures lead to misdiagnosis and poor quality workmanship. Your teachings are always valued and appreciated.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. I feel that steps get bypassed daily. I often see guys remove the machine after charging before watching pressures. Same goes for other jobs like fuel pumps. Techs will take their gauges off before running the vehicle after the new pump is installed.
Could you possibly help me. I had my condenser and compressor replaced in my 2004 Honda Crv at 51k, 12 months later it went out again. Parts guy said issue with Hondas condenser the first time. I was involved in class action law suit over this condenser, and only received $381, which didn’t even cover price of condenser much less compressor and labor. So I just have a nice car with 127,000, very well maintained other than no air. I use told that Honda revamped condenser with some kind of cage around it to not allow small debris from messing it up. I really can’t afford to go thru this again, so like I said nice car no air. What are your thoughts on this. I live in Ky and absolutely dread getting in car in summer. I really can’t afford to throw money away. I do a lot of my own maintenance in my car and an mechanical inclined. I thought I might try to buy parts and get friend to help and do this myself. Any advice???
my 2007 honda ac i had just bought was failing but honda covered up by putting a new relay fuse in..i bought the crv and it got hot out and i ran the ac which killed the relay....i pointed this out to honda and they really didnt care..it was just past 100 thousand miles so they stuck me with it..bradenton honda..
