I like watching experts at work because you can "pop" off the plastic and know it's coming off. When I think I'm ready to "pop" off a piece of plastic I immediately understand that I have forgot a fastener and break something. :) Nice fix on that one Rob.
Not always Wyatt, once I've popped out the sides the fenders sometimes decide they wanna jump off before I'm ready resulting in me diving to the side to catch it. Cheers 🍻
@@OneAuto Have you ever changed the expansion valve? If so, how did you get to it? I've literally taken half the dash apart and still can't get to it to take it out.
As we say around here "It has fell into raining". I complain about all the plastic used on modern cars but it simplifies jobs like this, straight forward with good access.Well done
Nice video again. I usually put the sniffer over the pressure sensor once its up and running at full pressure. Had a few this year that showed up as small leaks even though the main leak was the condensor. VAG particularly common for this.
@matthewbentz1951 I may farm it out. My daughters clutch engages and spins. Tried putting refrigerant in. Overpressured the low side. Didn't do squat. Lots of fiddling and chasing with sniffer.
@@gearheadgregwi yeah I generally don’t want to mess with the AC system but R&R for the compressor/condenser will be alright. I got a shop to evacuate the system today and will most likely pay them to recharge as well.

Awesome video! Saved $$$ by following your video for AC work. Can you tell us if the drier already came installed in your new condenser or if u had to insert that just before filling with freon? TIA
+One Auto, I have same car the 07 and I want to replace the headlights. Is it safe for me to take the bumper off and replace them or will that leave a gap in the bodywork or any clips could get broken? I'm worried that the bumper won't align back up right or they'll be major gaps afterwards. What do you think?
The only clips that break most of the time are the rivet type plastic retainers along the top, bottom and inside the wheel wells so will be an idea to buy 10 to 15 of them in advance. Don’t worry about the bumper it will pop out of its clips and go back exactly the same place with no gaps. It’s not adjustable so if they clip in ok it will be aligned. Hope this helps
@@OneAuto ok I'm going to try it hopefully no problems. I just dont want anything wrong with body work. Here in America dealers scam us overpaying on cars so I have to keep this for years to come. Thanks will try.
@@OneAuto Okay I see what you mean about the clips now. Are the clips the same size for taking off the bumper, the lower engine shield thing that we need to take off for the bumper and sides of wheel well? The black push clips? are they all part number 91503-SZ3-003

@@OneAuto question rob..I didnt replace condenser when i replaced the compressor, and it lasted 6 months and ac clutch locked up. i replaced the clutch and this time puttting the new condenser in. Now is it ok for me to use the same compressor with the new clutch?
Hi, I have the 07, just replaced the compressor, and it’s cooler, but seems weak...I have free labor- would you recommend switching out the condenser? Thanks
👍 great vid. BTW will the UV dye still work after a few months? Just wondering as I changed the condensor in my citroen picasso and the guy who charged it up said he had added UV dye. I used a UV torch after charging and all looked good. 3 months on and aircon is cool 😨
You have to love those popping noises when freeing plastic bumpers... NOT! =) I'm also a zip-tie kind a guy when it comes to lower splash guards & broken retainers! Keep on keeping on!
So True. Honda retainers are crap. It's worse when a customer is with you. I always tell them 'now these guys are probably gonna break' Cheers Thomas, I'll keep on.
To make matters worse, plastic trim and bumpers rarely fit back as securely once removed due to the damage that invariably occurs by separating a fitting which is designed to lock something in place. There is no doubt they are manufactured for speed and economical installation at the factory - I think Rob did a great job wrestling with that bumper single handed.
Don't you just love all the infernal plastic and stupid clips and rivets and broken screws you get when doing this sort of job... You looking forward to winter yet Rob? 😂 Stay Frosty. 😨
Absolutely hate those plastic rivet clips must be designed to break if you even look at them too hard. And Honda parts ! Dick Turpin wore a mask at least 😁
I'm about to get my condenser replaced. Was a good watch to let me know if my mechanic is gonna try and rip me off. Still waiting for his quote
Hooray, the triumphant return of OneAuto! Missed your videos Rob

Yes I always keep a VAG pressure sensor in stock for that reason. Cheers 🍻

I have the same green plug on the left hanging sown and dunno where it plugs into. Can u tell me if thats for the bumper fog lights or
Is there a way to clean condenser without taking off the front bumper?
Anyone have the infamous compressor grenade itself? I'm assuming replacing condenser is almost a given.
Yup. Doing the job this weekend. Compressors a goner and will be replacing the condenser as well.

Ron Taylor if it’s lost gas it’s a possible cause. I would recommend you have it diagnosed at a shop before throwing any more cash at it.
if you had to removie my bumper you would find 2 bolts on the bottom 2 on each side and 4 up top so much easier
