The original Animated Movie is much more real with the fire rate of those things though in all honesty. Idk why lately they have 42s firing like 34s in Shows and Movies. I could tell Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny was gonna be good at the start because they got it RIGHT.

Also the order of the works was chronological order in the world of the works, such as Jin-roh → Straydog, made me feel particular about it. It's good.
Both Original and Remake Jin Roh got MG-42 /MG-3 wrong. With fire rate from 900-1200 RPM, no one could survive even 1 second burst. Specially if you aimed it properly since its a lightweight GPMG.
Pretty much all of these clips were just brutal to watch. Then again, it is showing what a machine gun does. The Saving Private Ryan clip was heartbreaking to watch, particularly as you know this happened. My husband remembers when it came out, he was told that veterans were invited to a private screening of the film for their opinion. However, most of them walked out. Not because it was rubbish, but because it was too realistic, and they couldn't go through it again.
Eh, Saving Private Ryan and Fury does. Both movies have multiple scenes with the MG-42, not just the scenes shown In this video. Band of Brothers makes the MG-42 sound suppressed

Would it be grammatically correct to refer to the MG 42 as the 'MG 42' (The translation from German to English is Machine Gun I believe) or would it be 'MG 42 Machine Gun'? I've heard it described both ways, but the second way doesn't make sense to me, it seems like it's saying Machine Gun 42 Machine Gun. Am I making any sense at all? 😅
Some of these depictions are way too slow firing. It fires about 1200 rounds pr minute, hence the nickname "Hitler's Buzzsaw". We used a modern version when I was a conscript. Scored a bronze mark with it. Great MG, but heavy as hell.
It really does irk me when the realism/technical advisors are so bad or non existent that they get the ROF so utterly wrong, presumably in post-prod - The single most ferocious aspect of the MG42 was its buzzsaw like characteristics hence it's nickname, too many of these films have it chugging along like a Lewis gun
It's true that Kim Il Sung and his comrades fled to Soviet Union where they were trained by the Soviets, but only at Khabarovsk, eastern USSR. Although they're probably not, I can say that Korean conscripts in the Soviet army are forefathers of North Koreans.
And the germans claimed using the 1897 trench gun in WWl trenches was a war crime. But mustard gas was ok? Then they come out with the M42 and literally mow the troops down as soon as they open the gate of the transport like shooting fish in a barrel without any water.
1944 is the only one that accurately portrayed the noise, all the others didn’t, I’m quite surprised Band of Brothers didn’t cuz that’s the best WW2 series ever and if they’d got the sound right 👌 perfection

Its probably italian version of mg42 that had slower fire rate
1200rounds per minute
To me personally the Wolf's Brigade massacre featuring MG42 feels extra brutal, how it dominate the battle.

Band of Brothers has the best depiction of the Maschinengewehr 42

I bet you feel like a real genius for saying Maschinengewehr instead of MG.
15:08 the turrets in the background just spraying 🔥
Only 08:48 topor and 03:56 used real 1500 mg42
4:05 realistic mg42 rate of fire

That’s an MG3 I’m pretty sure
Old veteran the WW2
I hate how some movies make the MG42 sound like a 50 theirs a reason why the gun is called a buzz saw
9:05 what does the german say
I think he says "lookout take cover" deckung means cover
Do a complication for the m60 next
