The way the MARI death and hanging "Arms Legs Gut Face" works so well is criminal. SUNNY's attachment with Hands because he pushed her, Legs because MARI's bad knee, Gut because how MARI landed straight on the Violen and... How MARI's face traumatized the 2 kids for years. This is just amazing.
I legitimately needed to take a pause to process this before commenting. Those vocals were raw. Thanks for introducing me. Having both Sunny and Basil looking into the mirror during the "arms, legs, gut, face," part, demonstrating how they've both been losing themselves in their self-hatred was such a good visual choice. The way you presented their fight, and then added flashes of good memories intermingled with it hurt that much more because of the emotional whiplash I got from the emotions I'd associate with each scene accordingly. You sort of exercised that through the whole animatic. Paired with the song, my heart felt like someone heaving back and forth on a pitching ship. Between seeing warm flashes of Mari and the cast, then being hit with how much Sunny feels disgust with himself and his life after the accident, back and forth, there was no reprieve. I think that captured Sunny's internal loop, where he's never able to let go of the past, quite well. Also, hitting us with the bad ending, transferring "all of the things you will never see again," from Mari to Sunny.... Painful. I'm still not sure if my heart's caught up with my mind. This was good, though!

that's it. this is my favorite omori animatic. you did it. i honestly think that ive watched almost every omori animatic out there. i've deployed all the resources this fandom's gotta offer. but, as a pretty unemotional person (expression wise), this is the only one that's actually brought me to tears. the song choice along with your art style was perfect. the way everything was timed. each frame for each line. so beautifully thought out. these scenes with sunny & basil fighting when the song climaxed was what did it for me, along with when sunny pushed mari down the stairs when the song began to slow down. it was beautiful. i think this animatic really hit me in the heart. like i could PHYSICALLY FEEL my heart hurting. hearing the emotion behind the voice and seeing the emotion in the characters' facial expressions was like a slap to the face. thank you for this gorgeous work of art
