    = FOR THESE PIECES I USED :
    ▪️ CLEARCAST 7050 resin
    - unbeatable price for such a high caliber resin
    - 45 minute work time, 8 hours for a touchable cure, 24 hours for full cure
    - virtually odor free, VOC free and non-toxic
    - cures rock hard and crystal clear
    - ✨ ANTI-YELLOWING protection (HALS) & UV absorbers ✨
🛑💰Go direct to the manufacturer like I do :
    bit.ly/CC7050 (case sensitive)
Enter coupon code MYRIAM at checkout for 20% off your TOTAL purchase
For their other resins - Epoxy Resin Store : bit.ly/GetResin (case sensitive)
💕💕 MY PROMISE TO YOU: I only recommend what I believe in. I get asked by manufacturers all the time to try their products ... I will only show you excellent products and I’ll tell you any limitations I come across.
The pieces were originally made using:
▪️PIÑATA Alcohol Inks from Jacquard (all are in the Exciter pack of 9 colors... white is included)
🔹 I really recommend this “Exciter Pack” (appropriately named 😊) of 9 Piñata alcohol inks : amzn.to/2G2tkAB
    🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2HzXn3c
▪️Piñata White Alcohol Ink (Blanco Blanco) separately : amzn.to/2IBLKIn
▪️Miscellaneous Ranger / Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks ...
    Most are listed in amazon.com/shop/MyriamsNature
    = TOOLS / SUPPLIES =
▪️The 3.9”/9.8cm square petri/coaster was made in a silicone mold
I purchased on eBay ... These molds take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive but cost about $2 ( including shipping!) Please note : some have a shiny interior finish and some have a satin interior ... both are pretty :
    ebay.to/2FkTz3f
🔺For Canadians: bit.ly/2HObjcL (choose “Large Square”)
    ▪️The nail file I love ... pack of 12 : amzn.to/2FFNXEw
▪️Red silicone, 30 cavity mold that I used for my test pieces: amzn.to/2joRxqp
    ▪️Bamboo skewers (6 inch):
    amzn.to/2Hw1blu
    🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2r3J7Im
Probably cheaper to buy at your grocery store.
    = For MIXING RESIN :
▪️ My favorite silicone mixing cup (100 mL / 3.4 oz) with spout: amzn.to/2FU8xyc
    🔺 For Canadians : amzn.to/2r7kGdc
    ✨[SEE BELOW FOR A SET OF 2 BIGGER CUPS]✨
This cup is endlessly reusable! Let remaining resin cure in it overnight and then easily pop it out! The cup is very flexible and has a totally smooth curved inner bottom (perfect for thorough mixing!). Great for paint too!
If you use a lot of resin, you might want two (or more) of these cups so that you have another one to use while leftover resin cures in the first one.
For a set of two larger silicone cups (one is 250 mL / 8 oz and the other is 500 mL / 16 oz): amzn.to/2McEwx7
    🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2l5DrLv
Thank you in advance for watching the videos, sharing them, commenting and leaving a thumbs up. Your kindness helps my channel continue and it is all greatly appreciated! May the alcohol inks, resin, and paints be kind, and may the pours be with you. 😊💕

I loved this ! Speaking of molds. How full do you fill them to? There is a line if you will. On the inside. I went above that of course! I’m going to try to stay at that line for my next fill. Unless you say it needs to he full . I love these. I have the white square mold you used can’t wait to try these. On to my next video! The girls told me how to find the comment section ! Love them girls!

Hi Annette! So nice to see you here in the comments section! Thank you so much for supporting me on Patreon!! As my patron, your questions are automatically at the top of my to do list both here and on Patreon! 😄💕
Since I like to have the resin “lip” to facilitate a doming topcoat, I always try to stay about 2/3 of the way up in a mold if it’s a shallow one. The topcoat will make up the difference. The resin you use will also play a factor... if you use one that is more “bendy” when it comes out of the mold (less hard/rigid) you would be best to add more resin to the mold so that your piece is less likely to lose its level shape when it gets popped out of the mold.
What you add to the resin also comes into play... liquids like alcohol ink, acrylic paints, etc. can make a resin “softer” once it cures in which case you’d want to fill the mold up a teenie bit more. Personally, I try never to fill a mold to the top unless I know I can get a really perfect top. If I can, then filling to the top can allow for a slight dome... but make sure the mold is really level so nothing spills over any edge. As I said in the video, I think filling to the top is often a waste of resin. That’s another reason I don’t and add a thin topcoat later. I hope that all made sense. Feel free to ask any clarifying questions. I’m here for you patron!! 😘😘💕💕😊

I have watched videos on this technique but no one ever explained the importance of the edges for the dome like you did. When I first started resin, I overfilled, then I really underfilled, but now I am confident that my next projects will be perfect. Thank you so much!

This is my first time watching any of your videos. I love your gentle voice and teaching style. I'm glad you showed the shape of those pendants. I have some molds shaped like that and I've always tried to "fix" the edges because I don't like the slant. I think I'm going to stop fussing with that part. I'll never forget my biggest takeaway from this...

I can't tell you how much i appreciate your teaching style. You take us from 0 to 100% in every project, and seem to hold nothing back! Too often tutorials take it for granted that the viewer can figure out the beginning and end on their own, and it leads to loss of interest or wasted product. You give me confidence to take my art to places i never would have approached if i hadn't found your channel, and the wisdom to adventure properly! Thank you so much! ❤

I watch videos every day to the point that I have to stop & get things done around the house. I have to tell you I love this taping & have learned more about resin plus all of the information you have provided. I have been painting on canvas & doing shows for a few years now but never have I finished them off with the resin because I thought I liked the raw look until I did my first piece & was surprised at how much more the colors popped. So now I am trying to learn as much as I can about resin. Which I thought I had done a lot of research & bought 2 1 gallon casting resin but came across yesterday that I bought the wrong stuff to finish off my acrylic paintings. Found out why my edges after the cure were not covered & it is because I needed to know about a thicker resin & about doming! So I will go back to your previous videos & watch how you pour your molds. Thank you so much...sorry I went on & on however, I can use a thinner resin for silicone molds just not for my canvas pieces

One of the best topcoat videos I’ve seen! I have no luck with my silicone cups. Every time I re-use them, I get tiny bits of resin in my new mix -- and that is even after washing them. I love resin and would like to do more, but every step is a challenge for me. I’m going to try some of your tips and watch more of your videos!

I've been having issues finding the right amount of resin for the top coat. I either overflow or I get bald spits. I'm anxious to try again. Thank you for the information. It has really helped me in the past. I love your ideas. I've been inspired to experiment on my own. Thank you so much!

I must have missed a video with using molds and resin, I will look for it. Love your finished pieces. Great instruction and demonstration as always. After I get more experience under my belt with paint pours, I want to play with this as well. Thank you for your constant inspiration and encouragement to have fun.

Thank you so much for this video! I finally have the answer about the little edge around the sides and how to deal with them. Next time I'm working with resin I'll make sure to have my coasters ready for the finishing touches!
