The heat from that torch is going to shorten the life of your molds. It also causes the resin to start sticking to the edges. Better to use a heat gun. Beautiful work.
The torch is fine as long as you hold it high enough from the resin. You are correct that it can definitely mess up the molds. The molds are cheap so I don't really care when they break because I want the piece to be pretty and bubble free. Over heating the resin will make the resin age faster and yellow if you aren't careful though
@@ResinAsYouWishyou need to add that to your video in the beginning, because everyone doesn’t have the money to waste molds or product these days! You have that responsibility to ppl who are kind enough to watch and sub.
The first layer looks very rose like in the finished coasters. So pretty!! Idk what I'm doing wrong but so far i haven't been able to get the alcohol ink to move much. Too chilly maybe? I'm a beginner, so lots of time to get it right and dial it in! Thank you for your videos!!
Adirondack has alcohol blender which is basically the highest concentration of alcohol. If you use that to drip into your mix, the colors will float into each other more easily. Alcohol ink needs enough fluid to blend and if you use too little or it’s too hot where you are, the pure alcohol (uncolored) will be needed. It can also create great effects. Another thing that makes it move is using heavy alcohol ink with lighter ones. Heavy ones are white and those with metal color. The heavy ones will move to the bottom sinking through the others.
I love this. They came out beautiful. I did not see in the list of supplies the little caps you put on the bottles of ink with the white in them. The spouts look much smaller the ones that come with the regular alcohol ink.
Thank you for sharing amazing.a question when you turn the coaster over to do the back and place back in the mould do you find the base drips to the front
Hi, only certain vendors send to AK, when Amazon has it in stock I usually grab some - pro marine is another that may or may not ship to AK but I find it on Amazon from time to time. The epoxy resin store will always ship, and I like that resin - but it mixes thinly and you have to get used to it
Hi I wait until the resin is hard enough to tap on. This is usually overnight (cure time on this resin is 3 days) So no set time, I usually just work on them in the evening and then come back the following evening.
They turned out great but I was wondering why the backs looked the way they did? Also the only thing that stops me from making and selling these is that alcohol inks fade and won't look as good down the road.
Julie, theoretically speaking, if you use a good quality resin that has UV protection built into it your colors should stay on point. But I am a resin NOVICE. I use alcohol inks all the time. Paintings and ornaments I use several (3-4) coats of Kamar and 2 of a sealant. So far I have had good luck with this technique and after having one treated painting and one untreated painting in the same window, the results are shocking!
Hi, no i have the tape sped up double time, so what you see is just fast motion of the alcohol doing the swirling thing it does. I didn't squirt anything on it :-)
i hate to give bad reviews, and you had some excellant results but you covered them up,alot of resin and colors which could of had been shorten and the white mixed as most know give some very pretty results, which i saw but were only covered up by another layer,i dont understand the purpose of mixing white into the colors into bottles, which could of been done by the dropping of white color unto the colors for a result but done with less time, and items.,reguardless the end result was very pretty
The white/color mixture is 3 to 1, it is important the resin was mixed and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes, this affects how much the ink will sink and don’t stack more than 3 drops in top of each other

Rich colors. BEAUTIFUL.
My jaw dropped somewhere during the video. Amazing outcome. Happy crafting.
So very beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent!
Love it! What great effects! Cant wait to try my hand at it! Thanks 4 sharing how to make these!🌈🌈
Absolutely beautiful
Beautiful
Gosh I love your work! Especially when you experiment!! So fun
Beautiful. The patterns achieved with alcohol ink never cease to amaze me.
Beautiful. Gorgeous colours 😍
Your work is flawless. I’m a fan!👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for this video!
Absolutely gorgeous
Just started making resin
I can only hope mine ever looks this good
Amazing ! 😍😍😍 it’s really Beautiful 😍 good job 👏🏻👏🏻😍🇪🇬
It’s like marbling on resin, nice
Ohhh wow alcohol ink always brings beautiful results and these are no exception! Just stunning 💖💖💖👏👏👏🇦🇺

A mist of alcohol across the top will pull-up and pop all the bubbles.

Impressive! Thank you.🤗
You’re so good at thin layers having such dimension! Beautiful.
Wow, these are fantastic! LOVE!
Gorgeous !!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Love your technique and colors😍🤗😍🤗
I’m going to try this. If you add a bead or a small metal ball bearing in the jar it will make it easier to shake the colors
Beautiful coasters. Love the colors.❤️❤️
Very nice!!!
Beautiful!! Love … the layers!
Very stunning! I love how bright the colors are. 🌈
Love your work
These re beautiful, great work 🤗😘🦋
Stunning.

Espectacular
Fantabulous!!

These are stunning! And your edges are so rounded and perfect! If you have a sanding tutorial I must find that!

Do you sell these? If so, where? They are beautiful!
Those are stunning! I'm a newbie, so I am wondering, are you flash curing when you cover them? For how long?
Very cool practicing. What do u use after u sand to make them shine??? How long to dry?
What is that white stuff your putting in there please?
Thank you for the video!😮 What kind of a epoxy are you using? Can you add glitter?
These are gorgeous, do you sand the backs after. I like the way you have your signature in them.
This looks so awesome! Will definitely try this awesome technique. Do you think you could do a tutorial on making rose quart coasters?
I will try!
Gorgeous, I have a question do you have to use the white with the alcohol inks?
to get the textured effect, yes. By mixing them before hand, you dont see the drops that sink and settle.
Thank you for sharing amazing.a question when you turn the coaster over to do the back and place back in the mould do you find the base drips to the front
Yes, but I sand it smooth 👍
What type of white paint did you use to mix in the alcohol inks
where did you find the little tips for the alcohol ink bottles?
I tried to watch it, but it was just so noisy, I fast forwarded to the end to see the finished pieces…..which were pretty!
How long do you wait between layers?
One more question, y is sand paper done in the last and then clear resin poured
hi, here is the video explaining why I sand: ua-cam.com/video/QZzwGo3XUkI/v-deo.html
MiraKleer resin is not currently available on Amazon, not known if available again. What resin do you recommend /use otherwise?
Ok, my error, not available in gallon size. I’m a putz.
Grrr will not ship. No problems last time I ordered, now no address works. Are you having issues now getting this shipped to Alaska?
Hi, only certain vendors send to AK, when Amazon has it in stock I usually grab some - pro marine is another that may or may not ship to AK but I find it on Amazon from time to time. The epoxy resin store will always ship, and I like that resin - but it mixes thinly and you have to get used to it
@@ResinAsYouWish Thank you, love your work.
I’m going to have to stick to verbal and/or voice over videos. I miss too much in the captions and fast pace.
Sorry.
However, my lack of knowledge doesn’t mean that they’re not absolutely beautiful!
Can you mix UV resin in epoxy?
Where did you get the bottles you use to mix in? I love the tips!
Hi! The bottles are linked in the video description- they are called fineline 👍
how many hours did you wait in between the layers or was this all in one day?
Are your colors so opaque and bright cause mixed with white?
Yes - each color is mixed with white alcohol ink
What type of white paint are you using to mix with your alcohol inks. Can't see the name in the video
It’s this: amzn.to/38ttAGZ - all of them are linked in the video description 👍
how long did you wait to do inbetween layers time.
Hi I wait until the resin is hard enough to tap on. This is usually overnight (cure time on this resin is 3 days) So no set time, I usually just work on them in the evening and then come back the following evening.
You always do beautiful creations. How long do you allow epoxy to dry in between layers
I just let it harden enough to tap on. The resin I use takes 3 days to fully cure, but I'm usually on the next layer between 12 and 24 hours.
They turned out great but I was wondering why the backs looked the way they did? Also the only thing that stops me from making and selling these is that alcohol inks fade and won't look as good down the road.

@@zarraCO if you say so 😃
Stunning! Is it just alcohol you splash on lightly, just before the swirls?
Hi, no i have the tape sped up double time, so what you see is just fast motion of the alcohol doing the swirling thing it does. I didn't squirt anything on it :-)
Hermoso
Whata is in the white bottle?
Why is heat gun used after pouring clear resin in all layers.
I use the heat gun to pop the bubbles
i hate to give bad reviews, and you had some excellant results but you covered them up,alot of resin and colors which could of had been shorten and the white mixed as most know give some very pretty results, which i saw but were only covered up by another layer,i dont understand the purpose of mixing white into the colors into bottles, which could of been done by the dropping of white color unto the colors for a result but done with less time, and items.,reguardless the end result was very pretty
Which ratio it is?
Please reply to my comment I am having a lot of problems 😔
The white/color mixture is 3 to 1, it is important the resin was mixed and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes, this affects how much the ink will sink and don’t stack more than 3 drops in top of each other
I am having problems too. My white/color mixtures are “grainy” (for lack of better description).
Totally wonderful. The repetitious music is annoying
I was most interested in the sanding, but you didn't even show that. Even though the section title says prep and sand. Frustrating
Your music is a little HEAVEY...
How about some Dialogue. That's what teachers do.
