      Doming is probably the most stressful part of using resin in my opinion, so I'm glad this is helpful 😊

    Excellent tutorial! You do a beautiful job of doming. I had trouble with it in the beginning, but I've gotten much better over time - especially with help from videos like yours. Thank you!

    the latex glue is GENIUS. i just started working with resin last year and have mostly just been experimenting a bunch and teaching myself through trial and error since it is just a hobby right now (though i do hope to start making and selling some pieces now that i’ve mostly gotten the hang of it!) but the one thing i’ve really never gotten down no matter how many times i’ve tried and different ways i’ve tried it is doming. id say it works about 75% of the time, but i’ve ruined really pretty pieces with poor doming jobs or overspill and trying to overcorrect it 😢 i’m so glad i found this video - let’s just say that not all youtube DIY videos are made equally 😂 so i never know what i’m going to get but this one was great - thank you!! i’m ordering liquid latex right now lol. will definitely check out your other videos if you have them!

    I love this so much! Seriously, liquid latex has saved so many of my pieces and it’s true that there will be some pieces that always spill on a certain area. For charms I do with a mica powdered dome, I actually add a second clear layer to make it that much more glossy!

    • @SeriouslyCreative
      @SeriouslyCreative  3 роки тому +2

      Ohhh thats a nice idea! I love using mica powder dome on the back of pieces, I've never thought about adding an extra clear layer though!

    This is helpful. Thankfully now I following the steps, after a year having a resin job thru diy 😅 except for latex/pva glue protection bcs I don’t have. I use isopropyl alcohol to clean the edge.
    But the rice surface is brilliant! I never had a thought even a little abt that
    So thanks! 🤘🏼

    • @SeriouslyCreative

      You're welcome thanks for watching 😊 this can be tricky, you just have to let the resin thicken enough that the doming seal doesn't break and leak. A few of my keychains have holes already, you just have to be really careful.

Just getting back into resin making again and love to protect when doming. Always struggled with the back drips. I’m glad you made this video I’m excited to try. 😀💜🙏

    Question for anyone. If I dome one side how can I be sure when I turn it over it is level? Won’t the side that is domed possibly be uneven?

    • @SeriouslyCreative

      An uneven dome will cause overspill. If you do it properly, once turned over, it will be even.
