- Disney responded to the Snow Brown and the Seven Seattle Baristas yesterday claiming they were fake. Then just a few hours later back tracked due to a "misunderstanding" and confirmed these pictures are in fact REAL!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!

How can Tyrion Lannister be the only one if he lets the "others" in? How else can he claim persecution based on his size if there are "others" like him? And yes that's all he'll ever be, Bolliver Trask from the X-Men First class series? No, no one cares about that, he's Tyrion Lannister for now and for ever more. How does Disney not know they're a joke at this point? I used to feel excited about their productions as a kid. Then, in recent years, worried. That became dread. Now I feel nothing. They have proven themselves incapable of functioning as an entertainment company

Oh, hilarity. Everytime they come out with one of these ridiculous, steaming dog-piles I just laugh now. It's excellent fodder for Az and the rest of the crew. My only regret is the current generation aren't getting the wonderful films I got growing up - unless their parents sit them in front of the originals on DVD.
I remember watching the classics with my folks on Sunday evening when I was 10, They had Robin Hood, Dumbo & Pete's Dragon on cable TV. We'd sit in front of the TV & eat dinner as a family watching those greats....Man how Disney has fallen!

Disney hires people based on skin colour, not on competence. They've often had people fill positions doing things they've never done before. It could very well be that they wanted authentic German middle-ages costumes and this was the best their diversity hire could do.

There are also investors who use those ESG credits to improve their company's credits and thus give them more money for the companies from which they actually make a profit. For example: a company that manufactures shoes, but pollutes, has few ESG points, so it is difficult for them to grant bank credit. If they invest in such a movie or series, they improve their ESG credits and make it easier to raise the money to invest in their factories.

I don’t know how they’re even expecting to sell Mud Brown and the Seven Hippies. The dwarves are the most memorable part of that movie; if they don’t have anyone recognizable as Happy or Grumpy or Dopey, then they don’t have much familiar iconography left to con people into buying tickets.
I can GUARANTEE that 'Grumpy' is a white male, as is 'Dopey'. And can also GUARANTEE that 'Doc' is a diverse black female in STEM who is a GIRLBOSS.

The natural analogies that occur to me here are mud, dirt, earth, or maybe wood, and of those, brown as mud seems the most similar to saying something is white as snow to me.
It’s not racism, it’s just a play on the name of the character. I happen to think the actress is a very good looking woman, just that she’s an extremely poor choice for this particular story.

You know what is a pet peeve of mine that I wish Hollywood fantasy films would stop doing. STOP giving characters modern multi-coloured clothing that requires modern technology to create. Pick a colour for a piece of clothing that you want for a character and stick to it with different colours coming from different pieces of clothing. Stop with the patterns designs as well. The only pattern that wouldn't annoy me is basic ones like squares of different coloured wool/cotton/leather snitched together. How the hell would any of the Dwarves have the time to dye their clothing like that. Everything looks and feels modern and it annoys the hell out of me. It's a fantasy based in real life times where we know clothing wasn't anywhere close to being this well crafted. Some people forget this but everything was hand-made including clothes till the industrial revolution. The Dwarves lived in a cabin the middle of the woods wouldn't have access to this. How is a film made over 80 years ago got better character design then this.
Hopefully Disney will continue to remake all of their old classics for the "modern" audience. They will continue to be a "smash" hit for youtubers everywhere.
