Not to dis the other UA-camrs that do reviews but your really are the best I skip through everyone’s other reviews because they just talk 80% of the time but I actually watch your videos and as a basketball player it’s a game changer my best friends dad is also a foot doctor and he helped me pick up specific ASICS for track I run long distance and it’s really heavy on my feet and have pronation and let me say that you foot doctors are amazing truly professionals for the game and I appreciate it a lot because I’m starting to get ready again for the basketball season and these reviews are gold!

I think the Formula 23 foam is a marketing gimmick, it’s not too crazy like the Air Zoom, similar step-in comfort like the Lunarlon or Adidas Bounce, at least it’s better than stiff Phylon

Really addicted to your videos. You provide rhyme to reason for buying these not cheap shoes :). Example. I got the Lebron 19s impulsively. I've always hypothesized that the PF/EP versions weren't necessarily "wider" but simply didn't taper as early in the midfoot. Thank you for verifying my thoughts.
Hey Doc. Great review. Not surprised that these have more ‘bounce’. Luka doesn’t play above the rim so he would prefer this setup. Since you play tennis, do you have advice or suggestions in terms of cushion setup for those slightly older with some knee pain? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Consider the Puma RS dreamer, IMO even though its an older model its still one of the most popular ones I find people wearing and the price right now to get one can be as low as 50$. Cant wait to try out the lukas 🔥

I wrote to you recently in regards to how the Jordan 36 low fit. Just like the KD 15, they are not long enough for me as 11s, but too long in 11.5s (Greek foot). The PG 6 however, fits me perfectly since its toe box offers considerably more room. Would it be possible for you to compare how much room you have left in either of those shoes in comparison to the Luka 1? That would be of great help to me. Thank you for a great video! Your review is spot on. I tried them on in the store and I have a slightly wide toe box and these fit so nicely without me having to go up a 1/2 a size. And I also feel the lockdown in my heel with no heel slippage. For outdoor use and overall fit, would you recommend these over the New balance two wxy v2? I’m not buying the PF version because I’m in the USA
In talk about the outdoor issues with these in the video so you’d have to weigh the pros and cons of that vs the 2wxy to see if it’s worth the durability gap
Thank you for replying to me Dr. Zach! I decided to go with the USA version Luka 1 because of how my foot feels locked down in the shoes vs the new balance. I don’t play hardcore so I think even with durability (outdoor and indoor) it will be ok for a few years until I need to buy another pair.

Do you think that the plastic on the lateral and medial sides of the midsole would bother people with flat feet? It looks like the plastic runs over onto the uppers. Great review Zach!
Hi doc! For flat footers, is the Luka 1 ok? The mid foot of the sole looks quite narrow, would that provide enough support for flat footers that usually have a wider foot base/area?

I have a question that I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere. I have a toe injury where I lost my big toe and the tip of my second toe. It grows a nail right in the center. A doctor told me it was normal, but the only answer he gave me was to clip and file it down. The toenail grows thicker each time and it’s much more difficult to trim now. Is there any suggestions? I just got insurance recently, but have to wait a while for any doctor in my city.

It's interesting that Luka of all people has shoes that are this good at quick cuts.
Luka is one of the quickest decelerators in the NBA. I guess you need similar performance from the shoe for that.
