I literally just got these in yesterday and hooped in them last night. After swapping in my Move Insoles and lacing them up I immediately knew exactly why people say these are the most under-rated shoe on the market right now. These performed better than my Lebron 20s in terms of lockdown, traction and fit. They aren't as bouncy or comfy even with the move insoles, but as far as someone who is more of a shifty ground attack scorer, these are insane. The fact I got them on sale for $80 is just chef's kiss.
@@DanielLopez-zx3oq yeah I wear 11.5 and they fit like a glove even with the added insole. I like my shoes a bit more snug though and usually wear Nike which run more narrow so maybe that could be it
My son and I love these shoes. They feel like a modern day Kobe with a wider toe box. I’ve tried them all from Luka to kd to pgs to mj 36 lows. These are hands down the best!
Living in the Philippines, a country that loves basketball, it's kinda sad that this shoe is not available in most New Balance stores. I run on thier Fuelcell running shoes which is the primary reason that's why I want to cop one of these.
I’ve been waiting for this video for so long 😭 I already knew they were great but I really wanted to see what made these so much better than the previous version. One thing that you wouldn’t have noticed from your testing is that the upper molds the the contours of your foot once they break in. Also, after 5 months of using them exclusively indoors, the tread is showing no signs of wear! Unfortunately, they were only really coming out in 2E at first, the newer color ways have only been released in standard width
I got these in the Cerebral Colorway and I've turned some heads while playing ball in them . All they know about NB and basketball is Kawhi . Overall the lockdown and traction are very good. I was skeptical about them, but i gave them a chance because i got them on sale for 79.99 and I'd say im very impressed. new balance is on the come up when it comes to basketball shoes.
and fdz strikes again with another banger of a video! we love the consecutive uploads doc!!! but also hope you're not getting overloaded😅😅 p.s. also doc, can i get some tips on how to properly lace the the anta kt8? cuz mine came in with the laces on the back eyelet as well as the collar undone(if that made sense)
I like how you geek it out in these reviews. Alot of the info other reviewers don't really touch on, and it's helpful. I have to buy basketball kicks for my son more than i do for myself these days. Anyway, just bought a pair of V3s for him and he doesn't want to admit that he likes them because nobody's name is attached to them. 😂😂 You also sold me on the Adizero Select for him last year. Hardly anybody reviewed them and they're great.
i got these the other day and used them for pickleball...great traction, super soft and good support and stability...I used original insoles but put in the power step for the next time...the reason for the new orthotic is because on my one foot on the inside of my foot right behind the big toe by my arch was a digging into my foot....the only thing i could feel was the extensions of the lace tensioners that goes right into the sole....the shoes don't really need to be sinched down a lot for support and I have noticed there is lots of room inside the shoe as I had excess material bunching around the inside of the foot...the toe was right near the end so I thought I might have gone down a half size but they felt really good other than the digging of my one foot after about an hour of playing
No doubt you've addressed it somewhere before, but do these play well as Tennis or Pickleball shoes? (Basketball shoes in general as well) I do like the 996 comparison @10:09! Thanks for all the awesome content! I constantly share your channel with anyone I hear is looking for new court shoes!
Thinking about trying out NB hoops shoes again. I'm in my 30s and have hooped mostly in Adidas or Nike basketball shoes. I've had a rough injury with plantar fasciitis so I think NB shoes are worth a try
Thanks Zach, great informative video as always. Can you please review the Nike GT Jump 2? I had the 1s, and they were great as I like well cushioned shoes. However, the air cell popped and I'm hoping the new ones are stronger.
I love these. I have taylor‘s bunion but these are just perfect as the material conforms to my foot. I didn’t have to go up in size either. The Wade 808 and all city both lead to pain even when sizing up.
If these are even half as good as people say they are, im happy. Managed to find a clearance last size us12 for 50usd which is steal imo. Bit of a dad shoe colourway, but its still good tbh.
This reminds me of the Nike Motiva, which many people love. Would you be able to do a review on the Nike Motiva? The foam in that shoe is amazing, but I don't know what it is. I think it's a combination of Nike's Zoom X and React foams. Whatever it is, (IMHO) it's the most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet.
Started running in the Rebel V3's really loving the fuel cell in those shoes, and as a severe under-pronator really feel like they do a good job forcing me to my medial side. Do you think these lateral "logo-supports" would have the same effect or would they be better at stabilizing over-pronation? Really looking for a basketball shoe to force me onto my big toe. - Anyway love the content!
I agree with some others. Great review, but my 6’O daughter has pretty substantial bunions and these sneakers have been great, so far. In this review, it is mentioned that these wouldn’t be good for those with bunions. Maybe it’s fine this far because, though it isn’t a wide shoe, she is a female.
Hi Doc, As a twy V3’s lover, this dismantled review is very helpful for me. but I have a question for you. We can easily find that outsole picture of Bred color Twy V3, and you can see that seems to be positioned that some full length of black material(like shank plate? or Abzorb material or something…). Can you explain to me what is that thing?
Hi from Indonesia, Doc. I got severe flat feet, wide feet, torn both meniscus on both knees (left worst and goin to OA) and problem on my spine. But still playin moderate bball (even tough sometimes a bit higher intensity when play with youngsters). I found only KD shoes helped me much. Considering getting this due to the ankle support. Latest KD is too low for me. Will it fit by your opinion?
Are the Coco CG1s the tennis specific version of these? I've been wearing the Two WXY V3 for tennis the last 5 months and they've been awesome. The CG1s look awfully similar, but for more money. What's the difference, really?
Love the sliding scale of shock absorption vs bounce. I feel like people use these interchangeably which is just not the case. Example: My LeBron NXXT Gens have good absorption but are pretty dead feeling. Whereas my Puma TRC Blaze Courts are super bouncy, but have less absorption in the forefoot.
Zach, I have flat feet, medium width size 12, 12.5 and I ordered the pinnacle power step to help with arch support, per your recommendation. I wear the Kyrie Flytrap 5 outdoors for the court feel and rubber compound and they’re cheap, but need an indoor only shoe for a men’s league I just signed up for. I have watched many to all your hoops shoe reviews and have a short list that meets my criteria, but I wanted to ask if you had a model in mind that would work best for my feet as well as fit the best with the powerstep insoles. Thanks!
Doc.. can i ask for the temperatures you mention also in Celsius please? im sure some of us would love to see it in Celsius as its a unit that non-american can understand better or adding some Thermal imager so we can visualize the heat zone or how the temperature changes and thanks for all the great and informative video
Good day Mr Foot Doctor. May I ask, which is the better otc insoles for someone like me who has hyper mobile flat feet that is also wide, the Powerstep Pinnacle or the Move GameDay Pro?
I bought a pair of Power Step orthotics several years ago, and they completely crumbled apart after about a month of use. I contacted Power Step, and they told me that was "normal wear" and to go pack sand. They were very rude and unprofessional. I'll probably never use their products again.
Hello doctor, big fan of your content all the way from Northern Europe near Arctic Circle! I have an awful flat feet with some overpronation so I would need some replacement insoles for my bball shoes. Unfortunately the Move Game Days, Protalus series and now also Pinnacle insoles are nowhere to be found here and the shipping costs would be crazy. So crazy that getting customs would be almost cheaper to get. So would you have any other brand to recommend for such foot conditions? I know that Supergreen has an official distributor in my country so they would be easily available if they have any alternatives?
i wish they made basketball shoes that actually look like feet and allow the big toe to stay straight, not squishing the toes together, and allow the toes to splay out widely for better balance and stability.
NB Two WXY V3 is a good shoe buut NB always gives the customer bad colorways, how can they have sales if the always sell bad colorways. they give nice colorways to there players. not thinking of sales. so dumb company

Really annoying that new balance have done some of the widest running shoes for years yet don't bother with their basketball shoes.
They used to have the v3’s in wide, but they barely made any and they sold out, so they’re super hard to find now smh
Wish they had more wides too
I've got 3 pairs and will probably grab another pair or 2 to save for the future. One of my favorites in recent memory.
I like the first addition but I love the V3, pretty much my number one shoe it really hits on so many aspects of a good basketball shoe.
